  1. Probably worth noting that this just automates the process. Even before they brought this in they were having a nosey at commenter facebook profiles.
  2. Yeah I'm fine with it being "easy" or "not a challenge". If I want a challenge there's plenty other games. I just like being a sneaky bastard n killing folks before they get word out. The bombs are kinda neat to play with. Messing with the AI.

  5. So the votes here seem to be correlating with the votes in the donations at the moment.
  6. Well Alt Gr is the second alt key. And yeah it's one key, or I'd have gone Alt+Gr+4
  7. Gear? I dunno. (Wiki says Graphics/Graph/Grill. Seems it has been lost in the midst of time) It's certainly not Ctrl, that's a separate key.
  8. I think it's kind of a case with the Doctor he's hanging out with a guy he's friends with and he knows he's gonna have a good time. With the Torchwood guys he's their boss and he's kinda like having to babysit what to his eyes are a bunch of kids (and they do tend to cock up a fair amount when messing with alien tech). So he's a bit tougher on them than he would be with, slightly his senior, the Doctor.
  9. We've covered this before but: 1! 2" 3£ 4$ 5% 6^ 7& 8* 9( 0) Alt Gr+4 = € too http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_and_American_keyboards
  10. My "buying games for £40" days have been over for a while. I just can't really afford it any more and given how little I can pay for my games when I go looking it just makes the £40 price point seem horrendously high. Last full-price game I bought was Skyrim, and that was in a sale for £22. It's why I object to stuff like day one DLC, cos it makes an already pricey purchase even more expensive. I've been using Love Film since August, £5 a month for 2 titles, not bad. I play MP on PC, and I don't care for trophies so I can play the SP and then move on to the next title. I got Uncharted 3 in January, cost's £20 atm. I played it for a tenth of that. Then on the PC side of things you've got bi-annual steam sales, almost constant stream of indie bundles, it's easy to get titles for cheap. I can get so much gaming for so cheap on PC I think next-gen I'll probably skip on, at least for several years, I see no need to get into the action right away. Most expensive gaming purchase would be... I don't know. I don't think I've ever spent over £40. I do have a few limited editions, but they're through pre-ordering rather than spending extra.
  11. I don't understand this bit. I mean they knew who they came from, so what discussion was required in deciding in what context they were sent the cakes? Also is the subtle difference mentioned here, the subtle difference in "We think the ending sucked" versus "we think your game is great", or "here's some cupcakes" instead of "here's a forum post"? Seriously, they should be grateful. If the fans really love you they don't send you cakes. They send you potatoes.
  12. Seriously, if she learnt to control her eyes a little then she'd probably look fine. As it is she looks like she's in the headlights of a car. Or she's smiling for the shoot, then she's just smelt a terrible fart.
  13. I swear there was a newer thread than this. One with Yante in it. Anywho: http://www.shortoftheweek.com/2012/01/05/has-hollywood-lost-its-way Dude had a look at the top grossing films of last year and the past few decades before that. Last year the top 10 had no original stories, all sequels and adaptations.
  14. Well see anyone jumping ship, guide them to our shores? (We have Twitter, but it's not required) edit: (He joined 4 days ago and already has you down as "snarky person", you've taken it to a fine art)

    Sim City V

You know it's a fucked up move if even the EA guy calls it stupid instead of going along with the potential spin Yeah it's messed up. It's not an MP game, the MP is optional. It's basically stupid, restrictive DRM. It's the stuff that makes it fun to play GFWL games. Oh no online? Well let's not boot up your save then
  16. Here comes devil advocate to save the day: Except: 1. That's most likely a Prothean VI(bearing in mind up until the events of ME1 onwards it was assumed they were the only preceding species) 2. It's just random chunks of lore and there's plenty of stuff like this thrown about.* 3. The new ending was randomly thrown together last minute, this was a codex entry written 5 years ago. 4. The Catalyst is on the Citadel, not on that planet. 5. If it truly was planted that far back, then Bioware would have come out and gone "look see, we told you about this ages ago". *ME3 version:
  17. Assassins Creed for me is in the same realm as TES: Places to explore, random shit to do. Not too hard, as long as you pay at least partial attention. Just with less magic n better (well, funner) platforming. AC3 also has to not just suddenly drop all the features either though. At the very least it needs to introduce alternatives.
  18. What I want is to be able to use the "gentle push" on hidden blade/poisoned victims. Just poke them with a finger n push them off a rooftop.
  19. btw what's up with Gingrich's wife. Is she like a doll, or part-deer or what?
  20. it makes sense to a degree, but walking around in full assassin garb would also make the Templars notice you, but for the most part they leave you alone because it would get annoying. Much like this is.
  21. So AC:R changed the control scheme. I'm sure glad they didn't change from being Eagle Vision (i.e your head, as per original control layout) to something like dropping deadly deadly grenades or anything. Also as I discovered via twitter last night, buying property now raises your notoriety. And they've taken the posters out the game so I can't rip down a few posters on my way to wherever, I have to go and track down Officials (now no longer on their tod, but escorted by guards) and Heralds. Totally not ruining the flow of the game at all. The grenades are nice, and the hook blade is okay (but it has it's moments of iffyness, as well as the animations for it being absolutely terrible), but these additions don't really outweigh the changes of how notoriety works. But overall it's still a fun game, going round killing folks, seizing land, exploring new areas etc.
  22. http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/game-to-exit-administration-tomorrow-rbs-consortium-wins-race/093563 RBS said to be buying GAME. GAME to be owned by all of us. Sort of.
  23. Yeah I'm kinda happy that this thread doesn't see as much action as the US Politics one.
  24. Yeah I'm calling bollocks on the rumour. As they said the PSPgo for them was an experiment, one that the results from have led to the Vita having carts, and I can see the PS4 continuing to be pretty open with it's media and games. I wouldn't be surprised if they've done quite well from the PS3 being region-free and having any region store open to gamers as long as they've got the cash. Going back on a lot of that would be pretty stupid. Locking out used games only works if MS, Sony and Nintendo go into collusion. Which I'm pretty sure has the potential to be 1. highly unlikely 2.highly illegal.
  25. Yeah this Captain Jack is
