PhysX is in a lot of stuff. The main issue is that's 2006. By which point the current consoles we've bieng lumped with for the past 6-7 years were already finalised and out. Given how much multi-plat devs hate even making keyboard and mouse work properly You can see why they'd be reluctant to use what's pretty much a PC only thing into their games. (Ps3 can use a somewhat limited version since it has a Nvidia GPU). GPGPU is booming(There's probably at least a couple programs on your PC making use of it), but its games use is somewhat limited, once again due to the fact current consoles came out before it took off (mainly with DirectX 10 back in 2006). As for a compatible Architecture: It is the Microsoft DirectX-box. They're never going to make a compatible console. Wii and PS3 will be using OpenGL as always n MS will be using their DirectX API.

It's worth remembering no matter what they do: (Mainly the second part. Especially since no matter what Thursday says I've a strong feeling EA, the publisher, is the one that sets the launch date so that part is kind of out of their hands) Also I'm with Ethan. They spent three games going "hey your'e the player, pick your choices, shape your galaxy!". Even specifically noted how varied and bespoke your ending will be with ME3 and specifically how it won't be ABC choices. Then right at the end they took away all the player choice, the shaping of the galaxy and went "this is how it will be, pick your ABC RGB choices.". I don't really care if they get a new ending, re-write it, add in DLC, whatever, I don't aim to play it again. I'd at least like them to apologise for lying their arses off. No "oh we love our passionate fans" bull shit. They lied, they should get called out on it and apologise. Pretty simple.

Zombies provide a way around various laws/regulations/ratings against killing people in games. Same with robots. I imagine that's part of the reasoning of including them. They're also fairly simple to code as far as AI goes since they're accepted to be dumb and stupid, getting caught on objects, being slow etc.
