Lord & Miller (of Jump Street, Lego Movie, others) have left, during filming no less, the Han Solo film http://variety.com/2017/film/news/star-wars-han-solo-movie-directors-phil-lord-christopher-miller-exit-1202473743/ It's cited as "creative differences" which is pretty much a euphemism and really a new euphemism should be cooked up cos no one believes it's ever "creative differences" anymore. Especially if you're nearing the end of a shoot, usually and differences the directors have and the producers have should have cropped up during pre-production. Lord & Miller being on Han Solo film was one of the things in the "pro" column, and them leaving is a bit of a blow. Rogue One having reshoots too doesn't exactly help smooth fears it's gonna be a bit poopy.

I've not watched last nights (been a bit busy) but the "next time trailer" is hype I like how The Doctor has kinda just abandoned keeping Missy in the vault. Also based on the thumbnail, it seems the VESA mount and VGA cables are still going strong even in the far flung reaches of space.

The first of Neill Blomkamps experimental short films is out. Be interesting to see if the business model works out.

Sweet. Currently I'm playing Doom on n off. Only an hour or probably less into it so far, got the satellite dish to realign and there's only 3 enemy types so I'd guess I'm fairly early in. Enjoying it, though fun of playing two different FPS games on PC is when they decide to swap C n Ctrl around. Also the sound is a bit iffy atm, still looking for a "fix" for it; mainly if there's enemies in the level then the sound from them is /everywhere/ which in an FPS game is pretty annoying especially given Imps teleport and there's no like "incoming damage" pointer on the screen.

Feels like sort of Witcher without the magic n eldritch stuff. Heck it could almost be a Witcher pre-conjunction.

Yeah, the referendum was meant to be "advisory" but for some reason has been taken as a mandate to do whatever the ruling government wants to do (including stuff like the "Great Repeal Bill"). An Italian friend of mine had a bit of a freak out the other day actually when I joked to a Brit friend about his upcoming move to Holland and how he might end up back soon, she's not exactly in a stable place atm for if she'll be able to continue to live in the UK. So watching a video on "games of E3 past that didn't happen" (I guess inspired by BGE2 which has been announced a few times now) it mentioned "Phantom Dust". Anywho turns out that the original Xbox game (that'd be Xbox 1 or whatever the fuck it's called) is ported to Windows 10 n free on the Store. So I guess if you're up for free games (and the premise seems interesting) then there's something to dive into?

I think it's one of those things of seeing her in stuff before, e.g Farscape and Stargate, which I've a feeling Ethan hasn't seen either. IIRC he's remarked not recognising Morrigan from Dragon Age, Tess from Destiny n the Quarian admiral in Mass Effect as the same person. Cos yeah I'd say she's quite a distinct female VA. Quite bass heavy tones.

Goddamit I totally forgot about the free Origin Access trial. What's the LotR mod you're using? I didn't get super into Mount & Blade but a touch of LotR might spruce it up for me.

I'd say that given Lib Dems can have quite a large youth vote and most youths are pro-gay rights that it was considered a bit of a clash between the party and its voters.

Watched the first a chunk though, surprise hit considering "remake of planet of the apes but it's set before all that and also has James Franco in it" wasn't the greatest pitch.

I think atm Ethan is maybe only person who can watch this in its full 4K glory It looks a bit dark though tbh.
