I wasn't best impressed. Not that I was looking forward to it much. Felt a bit too linear and simplistic. Most of the detective mechanics were in the interrogation and it didn't work out too well because Cole was majorly unpredictable (dDubt was as good as using Accuse many times) and the actors were too awesome. I wouldn't compare it with Heavy Rain at all though. As I said when I beat it I think if you're wanting a crime game the CSI games feel much better, if you're wanting open world game don't even touch it. But if a story set in LA 1950's is something you want then go for it. It's not a terrible game, just underwhelming.

Just got the Indie Royale Bundle, £1.92, not a bad price should tide me over even if I don't play many of them.

So I'm now Arch-Mage. Is it me or did the quest chain feel really short? There was only like 3 locations (4 if you count the minor skirmish in winterhold). I thought it'd turn out to be something much bigger, especially considering the people involved.

https://member.eu.square-enix.com/en/blogs/final-fantasy-xiii-2-and-assassins-creed-revelations-costume-collaboration Play as Ezio. Cos obviously that's what we all want. Eurgh why the fuck did blogs have to be so pushy about FFXIII getting DLC.

How'd you do against snow cats and sabre tooths? And there is a lot unbalanced with Skyrim in the perk stuff. Cos I'm a mage I can drop most things before they get near me, meaning light armour skill is kinda low. And the only things tough enough to get close tend to hit like a brick shithouse. The whole enchanting/smithing/alchemy stuff too is like daaammmnn. I'm only just getting into the alchemy stuff seriously and I've got some half decent potions mixed up. Shame I don't use my weapons much, the -75 stamina, 100% magicka regen reduction, and -45 health poison nearly doubles the effect of molag-bal mace I have. And since I'm a mage most of my armour is robes, so 0 armour point. However my gauntlets n boots alone are enough to fend off most attacks. Gonna see on my next play-through what a mellee type does like.

Frozen Synapse is play by mail though, doesn't need everyone online like how something real time (i.e COD or what not) would. I've also played a bit of Web of Shadows today. Kinda neat, though I swear I've missed the button for sticking to walls. It's through lovefilm so you only get the disc, could do with a site that has like PDF scans of manuals or something.

http://www.bethblog.com/index.php/2011/11/28/skyrim-1-2-update/ Patch notes. Seems most of them are sorting out the issues with the most coverage (PS3 getting FPS drops, the 360 version looking pants and the sound being iffy on PC) The bottom three are kinda nice, and I think Ethan will like the dragon bones going away. Still find the " Fixed occasional issue where a guest would arrive to the player’s wedding dead" issue pretty funny though. Not had it myself yet. Still not decided who to marry.

His priorities are a bit fucked up aren't they?

Ah reet. Thought it might be like that. (our's are fairly interchangeable. PM can change any time, which of course Tony Blair did. Leading to many to go "but we didn't vote in Gordon Brown". You didn't vote for Tony Blair either you idiots. Unless you're from Sedgefield.)

I may or may not have mentioned but UESP is a great resource. They're slower at filling up on info but when they do it's shit tons better than the wikia. Namley because it includes work around for bugs: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Pantea's_Flute (I'm assuming you're on PC version) You still end up with the flute in your permanent possession though (just noticed the page has info on that too). Btw the bards college won't teach you to sing n play a lute, but god damn are their skill improvements decent. Turned in both the lute n flute and levelled up. As for tombs resetting: They do that. So even if something is cleared it can still have stuff in several in-game weeks down the line.

Quick question: Is Obama the only democratic candidate and that's why we've not seen any others, or is it a case of the republican candidates make more entertaining viewing and that's why we're seeing more of them?

My current complaint will be the bugged quest items. My Misc section especially now I have a dozen stones of Barneziah (only 6 have stacked), a lute(quest completed), a flute (also completed the quest), an alembic for I don't know who, two gauldur fragments and the final one I can't get because I killed it's owner before the quest started, and 6 amulets of Talos I can't drop. And maybe some others I can't remember atm. Thankfully none of these weigh anything due to being quest items but god damn are they getting annoying to have to scroll past. It was the same with Oblivion too, thankfully the unofficial patches fixed it up. I'm hoping for the official ones to do it this time around. Another minor quirk is unlike Oblivion you can no longer fast travel from your houses. Meaning I have to enter house, drop stuff off/stock up, then leave before I can go anywhere.

So after setting an entire cave on fire via gas (it was a small n narrow cave mind) I have to say I'm quite impressed with the environmental methods of killing people introduced in Skyrim. Don't always line up so well though.

I wasn't Eeeping at the negative campaign, that's fairly standard. I was Eeeping at the use of out of context sound bites, misquotes, etc. That shit wouldn't fly over here (Especially when most of them are ran on the BBC). Also I find it a little bit hilarious of all the campaigns of British politicians to choose from they picked Margaret Thatcher. Raised unemployment, fucked up housing, riots, needless war. Aren't these the things you guys are currently trying to combat?

Ever since the first Xmas sale a couple years back all sales since have sucked purely because we splashed out so much back then and got most of the older games we've wanted. Preceding sales since have therefore had less to offer, especially as they started with summer sales, now autumn sales and daily deals. It's not helped by the fact most of the "new" games (i.e past year) on sale this autumn while having decent cuts of 50% off and such can still be more than buying them elsewhere purely because Steam sucks for normal prices on AAA games. As for games I've bought: Since I have all the other games from either previous bundles or on Steam I paid $1 for it (split between introversion n humble bundle) And through Cyber Rat I've bought the Fallout: New Vegas DLC. btw if people are wanting short single-playthrough games on the cheap I strongly recommend hitting up OnLive. First game is £1/$1.

I have a feeling (and given I've broken a dude out of a thalmor torture chamber) that the Imperials are equal wankers. (with the added edge of the aforementioned execution for executions sake)
