  1. Any thoughts and theories on tonights episode?
  2. Yeah they're doing sales on nearly everything staysick, it was the main deal in the RPS thing I linked along with a £10 off voucher. I was tempted, but it'd mean buying Bulletstorm for more than I'm wanting to in order to take advantage of the deal. And I can get DA:ultimate for the same price in a boxed copy.

Wait, Johnny, do you have a link to that line? I was super excited for Ghost back in the day.

Six: I do not have a link to that. I do remember it was an interview with Mike Morhaime during one of the Blizzcons.

  3. Right it starts tonight in less than 2 hours. Also someone reckons they've seen an interesting snippet in the latest trailer. And tbh you don't even need to watch the video, the screenshot youtube has chosen pretty much shows it off. Also it's not just old tardis but that guy on the right...
  4. £12 on D2D, registers on steam. (you actually need steam to download it)
  5. http://www.rockpaper...ame-bargains-9/ Fair few deals here. I'm going to give my sister a buzz and see if she wants sims or something. So for example you could buy Crysis 2 for £15, and get a free copy of Bad Company 2. Or Buleltstorm for £15 with a free copy of Saboteur n Mirrors Edge. Or the Cheap Gamer pack: Shank, Mirrors Edge, Dead Space, Mass Effect, Saboteur and Burnout Paradise for £17. (you need burnout or it doesn't push past the required £25) edit: nope
  6. Lead & Gold. Just cos it ran so badly and has so few players. The actual gameplay isn't too bad.
  7. Hence my suggestion on the Vantage. I'm in the same boat n the vantage isn't a regular Bluetooth headset that kinda sticks in your ear, maybe hooks a little bit around it. This one is built more like a cup of sorts, then it loops around your head.
  8. Not at the moment, but grab me tomorrow. I ended up finishing the whole thing though.
  9. I've read that the R700 is significantly more powerful (say, a "generation" more powerful) than the R500 in the 360, but I'm no expert so that could be false. Also isn't the NGP to have a quad-core processor vs. the iPhone's single-core? Yeah, NGP has a quad core Cortex-A9 opposed to the single Cortex-A8 in the iPhone. CPU similarity makes porting oh so much easier. (They also have the same type of GPU too a PowerVR) So if Cafe/Stream has similar make of CPU/GPU to the 360 it makes porting much easier as essentially the main difference is just in clock speed. The instruction set, architecture etc will be pretty similar.
  10. Actually the Xbox porting thing kind a makes sense. The rumoured specs make "project Cafe" to the 360 what the NGP is to the iPhone 4. Aka similar guts just slightly different clock speeds/model number. AMD parts inside, same as 360 (though when the 360 was made it was AMD n ATi parts ) Should make porting a kinda easy job, and devs would have approximate experience with the device already, nearly 6 years worth. Means there's less of a time while groping in the dark learning a new device, and if porting is easy it means an almost instant library.
  11. Supposed image of it. http://gamrfeed.vgchartz.com/story/85734/first-grainy-picture-of-project-cafe-leaked/ tbh all you have to do is model something in 3D, render it off, put on your screen in power point or something, then take a picture with your phone.
  12. I wonder if it'll be like 2009 E3 where Sony are last to run and have to scurry about with in development stuff and bring the engineers on stage to demo a device in front of hundreds. Cos I can see if this is real Nintendo showing this off, then the day after Sony coming out with the NGP n PS3 n showing off a similar function and being all a bit "well bum, guess it takes the winds out the sails"
  13. PS3 uses bluetooth, and yeah you can have it so game noise goes through TV/sound system and voice chat through the headset. If you want a device that'll work on both just pick up a Bluetooth adaptor for you PC, they're dirt cheap. I've got one from a pound store. I have this and it has been good for me but it seems it's out of production so bum http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-Vantage-Bluetooth-Headset-PS3/dp/B0014VRRVY (I paid £15 for it)
  14. Sony already have it patent pending As for 3-D I've heard it mentioned.
  15. I currently have a Creative Fatality. It's decent enough but not very good at withstanding trailing along the floor then being stood on. So I'm also on the look out for a new headset, though more in the £30 range. Personally I think the whole "surround sound with two cups" shit is bollocks, but I've not personally listened to any so maybe they've managed it but I've never heard great things. Also as part of that I'm not keen on USB powered ones, it loses a USB port for one when I have perfectly usable 3.5mm plugs that I can't plug my printer or keyboard into. The one thing I love on the fatality is the detachable mic. Means it doesn't get in the way, and I can easily disable the mic when the little slider thing fails.
  16. PSA: The gamercard site is now completely offline. I'd update your Signatures if I was you.

  17. I'm wondering where the motion element will come in, cos they'd be mad to scrap the motion side of things now and move on to a "regular" controller. Folks are pretty cool with the whole moving about shit, stuff like Just Dance and it's ilk sells in the butt load. It's just it's pretty shit for regular titles.
  18. Oooh it's a close call considering a fair chunk of games I've bought on steam are in the £5 range. Maybe most recent is Witcher for £3.25. Oh wait. EVE online, one month for £1.75. Not bad.
  19. The stuff on them learning modelling early on is good news. Sounds like devs were hopping into 7th gen raring to go for the 8th. (and anyone who has used zbrush knows how easy it is to let the poly count just go through the roof) Kind of crappy that they only ever made one rig and just forced the artists to work around it. Yeah it means that the workload is simpler but it kinda limits the visual diversity of the aliens. As long as you just have the limitation of "it must be biped" you can get rig converters that'll put the animations onto any rig of any shape you happen to have.
  20. There's buttons. But part of the point of a controller is you don't look at it. The buttons are in such a way that once you've got the muscle memory you don't ever need to look at it thus enabling you to play the game without looking at it. If you were having to look at your controller every now n then you'd hate the game. And as we know from touchscreen apps they're rarely uniform so you'd never develop muscle memory to use it, you'd have to look down all the time. Something like the reverse touch panel on the NGP would work, but an actual touch screen built into the controller not so much.
  21. Which both would be horrible. Either you're tied to a kinda tidgy screen. Or you're expected to stare at your controller for part of the game. How many of you look at your controller?
  22. It's bull penis not testicles
  23. Where'd you get yours? I used some youtube ripper and since firefox has a god awful extension system it took a few tries to get one that actually rips the music n isn't just a link to a page that want's to sell me stuff. So I settled with the first thing that ripped stuff (I reckon youtube doesn't go much higher in the quality anyway)
