  3. Yeah I've read it now, my disc burner is much slower than I thought: I was just curious if you'd be locked to only playing as a human or if you could play any race you want like the others. One interesting tidbit is this: Creation Kit. Full name "Garden of Eden Creation Kit" aka GECK is the mod tool used by Fallout 3 n New Vegas. Now I may be mistaken but I'm pretty sure you can't use modtools for one engine on a completely different engine (You wouldn't use CryEditor to make levels for UT3). Which does strongly suggest that they have being telling half truths and Skyrim is running on Gamebryo, just their own heavily modified in-house version*. (or maybe Gamebryo has always been able to do this and Bethseda finally got good at it) Kinda like Quake n GoldSrc I guess. Also I'm not keen on the mountains. It says the world size is same as Oblivion, but the mountains mean there's more. To a degree yeah it means more surface area but mountains are huge and generally unclimeable. Also says how you have to walk around them which suddenly suggests the game isn't too open, but could be like New Vegas where it kinda forces you to walk around in a somewhat linear path for the start. *tbh I swear they've mentioned this before. But most folks seem to be all on this idea that it's a new engine and not gamebryo still.
  4. I finally organized a fair chunk of my library, so now I'm on WinAmp.
  5. A good thing I started weaning off Spotify a couple months back. Also I hear it's the labels pressuring them. Though I'm kinda doubtful. I guess it'll be good for random plays now n then but yeah there goes what was a positive force in the world. Fun fact of the day: Google's CEO's have enough personal cash each to purchase the entire music industry.
  6. So yeah question: Is this a DA2-like affair or is the dragon born possible to come from any race? Also phallus I think they're chucking some of the skills of the two they removed into the other skills. Also I think they're doing a perk system like New Vegas so you could be "fleet of foot" or something maybe. And I'd wager they have variance's depending upon your initial race like always. (depending on the DA2 question) p.s not yet read RPS link, will get round to it when I'm not ina "hurry"
  7. Uh, what do you call Law & Order? You know, the show that popularized the entire genre? Wiki says Law & Order only popped up in 1990 edit: also there is a slight difference between Crime Drama n Detective Drama. Detective Drama is a whodunnit. Crime drama is a how the cops just do stuff. The Bill versus CSI for example. Don't ever compare a shit show like CSI to a show like Law & Order. I actually contrasted The Bill (which is a UK show) against CSI. Law & Order n CSI never touched each other. You'll quickly learn how much that counts for.
  8. 90% of my tabs at the moment are related to 3D film or 3DTV. :D

  9. As for my choices: Jonathan Creek: Well worth looking up for any Americans who haven't seen them. It's a british show so the 5 seasons are quite quick to get through and since it's end it's had a few specials. It's about a almost savant magicians assistant (he makes the magic tricks and sets etc) who helps solve weird and unexplainable crimes. Usually with some element of methods used in magic shows. It's a "howdunnit" more than a "whodunnit" (many times it's an accident/suicide/no death at all). Also cool theme tune: Sherlock: I still dislike their Moriaty (though I hear they're getting a new one with the second season) but I really liked the modern remix to it. Steven Moffat has a knack at it. Watch Jekyll (a 6 episode mini-series from a few years back. What's cool to notice is leads from both of them are in The Hobbit) House: Does this count? It's not so much a whodunnit as a whatdiseasedoneit, but it follows the same formula; inexplicable crime(illness), brilliant but flawed investigator. It's a "what if Sherlock went into medicine" and it's not like you don't notice the House n Holmes reference unless you pronounce Holmes wrong. Of them all Jonathan Creek is the only one I watch for the howdunnit element. Sherlock cos it's Moffat and I really like the visual slick style and House for the chemistry between the cast. Senior cast at least, the young trio I'm still sometimes unsure of. Chase mostly.

  11. Not gonna happen. While PC is the main platform, it's still a multiplatform game, so there can't be too much deviations between versions. PC = Player Character. As opposed to NPC (Non-player character)

I should maybe point out I have GTAIV on PS3 (It actually came with my PS3) and played it on that. Just not played the expansions. So primarily the expansions I'm interested in. Buying the complete bundle on Steam works out cheaper than it does to get the expansions on PS3. tbh I'm not sure how much I'd play it what with other games. I guess I'll pass n one day find the expansions in a bargain bin for like £3.
  13. To get Heavy Rain for move is it just an update like with Eyepet or is it a separate edition? I don't much care for how I play it but it'd be a nice addition to the package.

You can just get them free on Rockstars website.... They were my first Friday Freeloader http://pressxordie.com/2010/07/16/friday-freeloader-gta/

Right, honestly how bad is GTAIV on PC? Does it work with a pad? Just I can get the whole bundle cheaper than if I get Episodes of Liberty City on PS3. (unless someone can point me to a £6 copy) Also I've seen a few cool mods n such for it that look fun to piss about in.
  16. £14 from Zavvi. Gonna be good summer.

There were a few mentions of the Borealis, which is sort of the big thing that ties the Portal and Half-Life universes together - and it's the focal point of Episode 3. Oh lawdy.

I have a feeling it'll load up as Portal 2, but I do think Ep3 information is on the cards.

  18. No FPS titles I've played (which doesn't include Resistance obviosly)
  19. I use Priv as in Pringles. Instead of Priv as in Pry open. edit: Black Pudding = "22:43 - linklonk([k]): THE FUCK IS THAT BLACK SHIT?" (kinda via a roundabout way from reddit/steam)
  20. Small Print = Fine Print
  21. Really? Because GameTrailers is paying Mega64 to put time-exclusive videos on their site... Hence the use of quotes. I know GT will be paying him, but as part of his show he's putting out a chunk of his analysing stuff, that he could potentially charge publishers thousands for, out for anyone on the web to listen to at zero cost to them.
  22. Oh I know he's still with Wedbush Morgan. Just wondering why. And when I say who pays him I mean like, obviously he's paid by Wedbush, but who pays them. Who is it who wants the analysing. And also by the sounds of it he puts a fair bit out in his GT stuff for "free".
  23. I used to be a fiend for Puzzle Quest. And well.... Maybe a bit too much. So yeah, don't do those things for a while.
  24. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5E9XUkoJH5I I have my "random" playlist on today. Bit's of the 60s, 70s, 80s, some recent hits, some rock, some game tracks, and some disney.
