Moi. I'll be playing on my PS3 if that's an issue. I can play on PC version I guess, just I haven't yet. So I've still got several hours of being used to the PS3 way in me.

Got Portal 2 early. Played PS3 copy while Steam copy downloaded. Autosaved over water with the hardlight bridges :/

From what I hear it's only a bit stronger than the 360. So it's going to play catch up for a couple years then be back in the Wii's position again. You really though the Nintendo of today would be the ones to lead the technological charge into 8th gen? Whats silly is I'm mostly seeing sites excited at the news that it's going to be 5 years old in tech. Apparently none of them release that when Sony n MS upgrade their new consoles will be... well Moores Law x 5 or so. Well far in advance of what Nintendo are rumoured to be putting out. And the controller sounds like it'll once again make porting a fair bit of a nightmare unless it's got a Classic controller too.

There was a deal on in Chips or whatever of two for £XX. This looked like it could be fun, I'd never heard of it. Thankfully the sting is partially removed because the other game was Timesplitters It's a hack n slash. I'm not much of a fan, definitely not back then. I might maybe have a fair shot at it this time around, wonder if it's worth doing for summer.

The way I look at it, I'll never buy any of the hat/costume bullcrap, so the people who do that fund the free maps and stuff Valve puts out for me

The main reason why I want to see a "sequel" engine is due to the way it loads the maps. Loading screens have always been an issue with Source games. Completely halting gameplay with a LOADING message every few minutes is completely detrimental to the way Valve designs their games.
Also, TF2 map loading. Fucking TAKES FOREVER ALWAYS.

I never bought a single hat or anything from those stores so... yeah. It just not.. productive. Also, yeah... Rocky Balboa is right. Source has a thing for those load screens... takes Portal. Don't you love the elevators? How the lighting all change after a load?

Sarah Jane Adventures. There was a cameo in the one where the Daleks stole the planets. They used their computer to call all phones to contact the doctor. (or something like that). Worth noting is that in age range it goes Sarah Jane Adventures > Doctor Who > Torchwood. It airs on "CBBC" over here. the C is for Children.

So while I'm waiting on Portal 2 to be translated from American to English I decided to play some of the first, make myself a b it less rusty. It's crashed 3 times now on the final level. I can't help but feel it's not a coincidence

Only ever played Creative and been told "oh no that's nothing like the full game!" Well PC Gamer now have a proper demo for the beta release. It lasts 90 minutes which isn't a bad length of time.

"Fucking Valve"? For the most part valve/steam related discussion has gone on in the "Steam Events/Sales" thread but I guess it could do to have it's own. edit: a board for devs/pubs on their own might not be so needed, but feel free to dump threads in "General Gaming Chat" and if a fair few crop up in future we can make a new board and move them. Most of the time threads are made for particular games and then in there we'd discuss the merits of how shit and evil EA are in relation to that game and it's forums/DLC/employees.

Apple are filing a "Look & Feel" suit against Samsung. Samsung are the guys who make RAM, flash storage etc for Apples phones. I dunno about you guys but I wouldn't want to jeopardize relationships with the folks who supply the parts for my most critical product over something as silly as a look n feel claim. The App drawer is similar, there's not much to be done about that, grid like fashion is the way to go. The rest of Android however is pretty damn far away from iPhones look n feel. (Also I think that big Samsung logo up top might just tip people off that it's not the same thing. The buttons on bottom too) In other phone news they're also trying to trade mark "app store". MS are the main guys fighting it. Amazon are kinda fighting it passively.

The reason I like folks who have Raptr sigs is cos it makes seeing what games they play so easy: http://raptr.com/TheMightyEthan/games?platform=PS3 Starcraft is a Strategy game. Civilization is a Strategy game. However within that SC is a RTS n Civ is a TBS. Yeah they're both racing games, but within that one is a kart racer n one is a racing sim. Spore is a god game. You guide a civilization from the primordial ooze to building a galactic empire. Also what EVE you playing with hairpin turns? Takes dozens of kilometres to swing around in even the smallest ship.

If they have a full license to it they don't need to buy the company. It only started closing last year and they've being working on Skyrim for a lot long that a year.

Diddy kong is a kart racer, GT5 is a race sim. EVE is a space sim, Spore is a god sim. I'm not sure on where the confusion comes in. You go into space for part of it, but you do in Halo Reach, folks are still aware Reach is a FPS.
