  1. Okay this one is fairly spoilerific even for folks who've played:
  2. 0_0 So, does anyone else think that I think also: http://dl.dropbox.co...u%20Gone%27.MP3 http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2066351/Random%20Files/Portal%202-%20End%20Credits%20Song%20%27Want%20You%20Gone%27.MP3 (I did some, as kotaku would call it, "hacking". Also added on some ID3 tags too)
  3. Phallus there's a problem, this is what google images chucks up: Just pictures of british people fascinated with the town.
  4. requesting MP3 of this. Tiller (of steamchat) pointed out out another cross over tidbit:
  5. So where does the super-powered creeper that does double damage/radius come in on the "deadliest mob" ranking?
  6. I'd say cos for the most part all it does is get rid of sentries, pretty OP yet very niche ability. Whereas things like the Funnel do pretty much the same job and with more diversity. But then I know better. Also they did get rid of chunks of the crushers. They're almost everywhere in the pre-release trailers.
  7. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_slang - the treasure trove. Also Charlie Brooker demands americans learn the british fascination with this town http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bell_End and apply it to Donald Trump
  8. - "Cost of the Royal Family Explained". I'm quite a fan.

That's ace because that argument has always annoyed me.

I linked this guys videos the other week. They're pretty damn good.

  9. prised = as in prised open the door pry = pry into someone's personal life prize = something you win. Also we use pry too. depends on your mood I guess.
  10. So some little snippet:
  11. PSN+ is Buy a year, get 3 months free.
  12. Portal 2 co-op. Went through it with Bill. Nice ending. Also Nolan North is in Portal 2
  13. Oh I read the other day the crusher stuff was stripped out of most levels as folks were put off by them. So there's that. (one of the co-op levels is the level shown in the trailer, just very obviously missing the vertical crushers) Kind of a bummer. And obviously some of the levels will have been tweaked anyway in the months between trailers being made and the games release.

    Apple

You know how there used to be Netscape, then along came MS with IE, they bundled it with Windows, scored a large market share (even had IE on Apple PC's for a while). We're still feeling the effects. As it stands the App model pretty much compartmentalises the web. You don't just pick up a random browser then access any website. You click on an App, to view another "site" you use another app. Smartphones n Tablets are taking off in a big enough way that this app model will have an effect (especially now they've expanded it to their desktop). HTML5 should technically stem the growth by providing a way to make application like sites in compatible browsers. But it's still years from leaving draft and in the mean time different browsers are implementing different parts so it's all a bit messy.
  15. I'm not a fan of the DLC, cosmetic or not. They're pretty damn expensive for just being cosmetic. As many have pointed out some of them cost more than games sold on Steam. From my understanding you're meant to be able to unlock them in playing Portal 2, but as it stands I've beaten the game n played half the co-op and all I got was a companion cube hat. Which Duke had too so I assume that's the "you beat Portal 2" unlock. It's the kind of stuff that before DLC would have just been unlock content. Play the game, unlock stuff, personalize your co-op bot. Beat the game, get a hat. Open your wallet, get every colour in the rainbow. My only thought is they're running them like TF2 drops (which doesn't make sense since it's a primarily linear game and SP on top of that) and it all drops, but only 4 times a week or whatever every 8 hours. As for the time I theoretically took 12hrs or so, getting it at about 11am in morning n playing till about 11 at night. But counter in watching house, lunch n tea, etc it knocks off about 4-5 hours. btw anyone get a Citadel vibe in parts of the game?
  16. Which one is that? I don't remember any of them taking too long. It was one of the "find the DVD levels"
  17. If Portal 2 has taught me one thing; if life give me lemons, make sure they're not in my house.

    1. Thorgi Duke of Frisbee

      Thorgi Duke of Frisbee

Oh God, that tirade on lemons made me burst out in laughter. Best line in the whole game that isn't Wheatley's foolish antics.

    2. Connorrrr

      Connorrrr

Cave Johnson's lines justify the price alone.

  18. After been Darnified. But that at least is a bonus. If it's a bit too streamlined for PC gamers tastes it is as the very least still modifiable (especially if it's still Gamebryo) so can be tweaked for a more PC like experience.
  19. I guess if we're chucking it in here: Portal 2 SP. And while Iv'e beaten it before I beat Portal yesterday too.
  20. 2 assignments to complete. Today was kind of planned in to the whole affair.
  21. http://gizmodo.com/stats-month I assume this is the link you're asking for? Just change it to the correct URL for the site you want to look at. It had it on the old layout too, just they've actually prettied it up this time.
  22. I read it as "It'll be DirectX 9 on release. We may make it DX11 later on down the line, but at least saying this sooth over the news it's DX9 only even if we never talk of it again"
  23. Fun fun, though one of them took waaaaayyyy too long. The final part of World 3.
  24. I may be wrong in this but from my understanding the N64 n GC were more powerful than the other consoles of their gens. Anyway a current base 360 is about £150. A Wii for £99. A 360-like consoles could cost abouwt £150-£200. The Wii launched at £180. So it could quite comfortably be in the same price range as a base 360. I'm sure for new tech folks wouldn't grumble if it cost even £250.
  25. So completed it on PS3 while the PC version downloaded. Pretty damn good. Thursday: Overall it was a pretty cool game and I'm up for replaying it tomorrow if I hadn't work to do. So at most just co-op. Feel free to hit me up on Steam.
