See now for the most part that has gone. Problem is it's now so common to have quick save that when you play older games it throws you off that you died and have to go back to the start of the game

Yeah the PS-suite thing is a bit dodgy, cos by the sounds of it PS Suite is on NGP too, so you'd assume PS Store n PS Suite transactions would cross over. It'd make folks more interested in the device if they already have a bunch of games for it. But I think part of it may be because PS Store and PS Suite games aren't always going to be the same. Thing is all you'd have to do is stick logos on games to indicate if they're PS Suite, PSP, PS3, NGP compatible., or make it so only the games you buy pop up on your device (like I'm sure the PSP PS Store doesn't show PS3 games)

Though'd i'd suggest shopping around. But yeah, you've got your own pad, which 360 owning friends love you for, and it works for quite a large range of PC titles too.

I'd imagine it's like a U-Play title, so on Portal 2 menu on PS3 will be "Steam" or something, input your steam account (or it'll offer to make one) and that'll add Portal 2 to your account or whatever. Then means any achievements you get will go to PSN trophies,and Steam account too (like Up=-Play having it's own achievement system). As for co-op I'd guess that will connect up via Steam regardless. I'd guess there will be a setting to let you only play with PS3 users (and PC only on Steam version) I guess if you nudge me this afternoon(my afternoon) I can use PXOD account email Gabe or Doug n see if we get a response. Just find out how the whole thing works.

Yeah it wasn't a $60 game for sure, that leads on to the other thread I guess where we just need more $30 or so titles. Still can't believe that 2 million isn't enough to earn a sequel these days. It was an 08 title too, so not the 90million HD consoles we have now. I'd say back then maybe half the amount we have now, 2million cold, and potentially more folks borrowed/used. So that's nearly 1/20th of the userbase had played it. And many folks have good things to say about it. Though I am unsure if the nice things is in part because it was different and people want to latch onto different in the face of the sameish games we keep on getting, or if it's specifically for mirrors edge

If you use the orange icon next to the thread title, or the thread title itself, it will take you to the first new post since you last read that thread. Whereas if you hit the timestamp on the latest post that'll take you to the last post in the thread, regardless of which ones are new since you last read. If you've marked the board as read it'll take you to the last post, not your last read, instead.

There's no new weapons in either apart from the super-Grav gun and I guess to a degree the anti-strider bombs.

IT does cost more than a wired controller though, and not shy of the wireless controllers price too. (unless they've drastically dropped them in price recently. Wireless pad for £35, Receiver for £25 and wired pad for £15)

What type is it? Wired? or wireless. If it's wireless the charge cable is useless. MS gimped it so it only does a power connection not data. If it's wired you'll probably find it's done stuff (like if it's all lit up). Just start the game and you should be able to play with it no problem. At the very least if you're on Vista/Win7. Win XP came before 360 pads so you need to grab a driver.

Yeah if you're getting it I'd be fast. It's pretty damn good, certainly one of the top 10 games of '09 easy. I recommend playing it with a 360 pad on PC. It'll plug n play, it's just one of those kind of games. edit: While browsing my Dropbox behold pre-2010 steam:

I can make find out. I don't know if it's 3D is compatible with free 3D vision stuff or it's own thing. I think the leaked games 3D ias actually for the 360 cos the description clearly mentions having the right type of TV. btw I loaded up Crysis earlier, wondering if anyone was interested in a live stream later on? For those yet to play it may highlight a couple differences. Though I play a lot slower on Crysis 1 than 2, so I guess it could get a tad boring. Also I need to go in and tweak the config files, the energy is a bit low. I will say I'm actually a fan of Crysis 2 suit power control scheme over Crysis 1. Much more fluid in the second. The first you kind of use speed to dash, then you use defense to recharge n take bullets, then strength to punch them across the island. The levels are much nicer still. I guess Crysis 1 would be miles ahead if it had Crysis 2 controls, at the moment it's only a tidgy bit ahead.

Crysis 2 is 3D. I'd imagine unlike most games that have a fixed 2D HUD, Crysis HUD is actually 3D, hence it bobbing and moving around. Quite alot of the menu and such is 3D too. Which when you're on a 2D system like 99% of people does get a tad annoying.
