  1. We have a bunch of old fogeys around here that skew the results <img src="http://board.pressxordie.com/public/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif" class="bbc_emoticon" alt=""> <div><br></div><div>*checks Retsus profile*</div><div><br></div><div>No offense.</div>
  2. I already answered that co-op questions but to reinforce: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-02-18-why-bulletstorms-campaign-isnt-co-op There is no campaign co-op. And last time I answered there was only mention of it's non-campaign co-op which is Horde mode wave-style gameplay. You need to rack up a certain amount of points per wave though, not certain amount of kills.
  3. http://www.conceivablytech.com/5746/products/google-may-kill-chrome-url-bar/ Chrome supposedly stripping the URL bar.
  4. "Seemed" - Whats with the past tense? Also welcome to the new place Jack. You need to contact Chew at some point, seems he doesn't know you.
  5. http://www.formspring.me/KieronGillen/q/163656502517730156 Kieron is an Ex-RPS writer.
  6. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-02-20-retrospective-the-witcher-article EG have a "retrospective" on the first game. Maybe worth a look through for those interested.
  7. http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2011/02/20/bulletstorm-censored-germany-videogame-esrb/ I've not read it all but this is Fox's follow up to it's "Bulletstorm Skill Names Will Make You Commit Rape" story.
  8. Not really, most $30 indie titles need to be packing a fair bit of punch to look good. Especially when most are about £10($15), so while the higher priced AAA titles may make it look cheap, the lower priced indies make the £20/$30 ones look expensive. Anyway the £30/$50 ones should have the same effect. Making them £30/$60, especially when a fair chunk of AAA PC games are still £30/$50, just makes the £40 ones seems needlessly overpriced than make the indies look cheap. I don't think that even enters into the equation tbh.
  9. Was just about to head off to EE to get this thread, thanks for dragging it to the top of new stuff. Just finished I, Robot (had a bit of a break in between). It's still a good film. Now I'm more into this stuff I can appreciate some of the affects work more (some of it's much more obvious where it's bad mind) The book is better, though is should be noted the film is only loosely based on the book. For one the book robots are illegal on earth. They're manufactured on earth, but shipped disassembled to the outlying colonies n space stations. Also didn't know that Sonny (the main robot) is Alan Tudyk. He acts for him too, just digital robot overlaid.
  10. I dunno. It was just linked n chatted about in Steamchat this morning. I can ask.
  11. Gen X - late 60s-80 : 30 to 45 years old Gen Y - 80-mid 90's : 15 to 30 years old Gen Z - late 90-now. : 00 to 15 years old There's some kind of interlap of about a decade either way. So some Gen X-ers may identify more with Gen Y-ers, some Gen Y with Gen X n vice versa. I'm Gen Y along with oldest brother n sister. The remaining 4 siblings are Gen Z("Generation Net"). It'll be interesting to see the difference. Most Gen Z are the children of Gen X. Gen Y the children of Baby Boomers, making Gen Y the "Echo Boomers". Because of that we inherit Baby Boomers political and commercial sway as the current 2nd largest group out there. (The next 2 decades belong to us)
  12. http://yatima2975.imgur.com/94813 Some guy is working on a mod to make the world height higher. It's a bit messed up in world gen though. (You'll probably easily work out his current method of making the world higher with a quick glance )

  14. Playing GTA IV for some reason. Anyway I'm perusing one of the travel sites (I thought it nifty they made their own internet within the game) Though I'd share some of the stuff. For anyone with the game it's www.americantravelguide.net
  15. edit: I'm actually talking about someone completely different now that I look. Fucking weird names. Why is everyone using weird names. At least it's not in Korean.
  16. Oh wow, just had a peek today, and it now no longer show grey replies. Like if you open up replies it only shows promoted n starred, then you have to scroll down and hit "show replies" again to see greyed comments. Eurgh.
  17. I wouldn't be too easy to dismiss.
  18. *Guitar Solo* The last two people need to go listen to Bohemian Rhapsody again. Toshi missed the riff, and it's stop not stone As for Beefy, he skipped: So you think you can love me and live me to die.
  19. Man this rotated into play and damn, major flashbacks to first year. John drove us mad trying to learn to play this song so he could woo Caroline. He did eventually learn it and they're still going out so I guess for him it was worth it
  20. Only one of us have put anything up. I'm hoping maybe for some folks down south (you know I'm still unsure which part of england Hot heart is from). Gerbil is from Wales afaik, Jay, Excel n Masterdex are Irish, and Wuffles is Scottish. So they'd be awesome too.
  21. But mods are free and developed by the community. Why should the publisher get an extra £10/$10 for the work of the community. And many of the games with the jacked up prices tend to not support mods. On the subject of sharing ( you meant ti in a different context, but I'm gonna run with it) another issue with the jacked up prices, and this also ties with a few other topics in PC gaming, is PC has practically zero used market. Once you've spent $60 on a game, that's it, the cash is gone. Whereas with console games there's a second hand market, you can trade in your game n get £20+ back.
  22. http://helpnathanbuyfirefly.com/ Basically Nathan Fillion recently declared that if he won $300million in the lottery he'd buy the rights for Firefly, start up filming n distribute it on the net. And if he was ever asked to reprise the role of Mal he'd be there. http://insidetv.ew.com/2011/02/17/firefly-returns/ And for anyone interested, it's re-airing again, so a good chance to start up on it if you haven't.
  23. http://www.gamasutra.com/view/feature/6290/a_renewed_focus_pcgas_new_.php The PCGA president gives a pretty long interview. I've not read it all. Just sort of had it open since last night peeking at it but I assume there's some nuggets of information in there.
