  1. Well if folks are on different save points just playing the game a little while on his account maybe? So guy A is towards the end, guy B has been playing a fair bit, and Guy C has just started out fresh?
  2. Someone doesn't get that it's over the top on purpose! Not a fan of b-movies I'm guessing? Anyways, I enjoyed it, but it doesn't seem like purchase material. See I was talking about this on Twitter other day since Caveman RTed Cliffy B, and what exactly is the purpose of the dialogue being so shitty? Seen a fair few b-movies in my time, the staple of student movie night, but none of them just had a ton of crudeness to cover up crappy dialogue. In fact most of them take themselves quite seriously which is what makes them great. I've not been following the game very closelsy so maybe PCF maybe did come out with saying they wanted a M rated game made for 13 year olds, or they felt that since it had practically become an Epic game rather than there's they thought they'd maybe tarnish Epic's name a little. I dunno.
  3. Sometimes I'll randomly pick up a packet of crab sticks n I'll just eat them on their own. I know it's all processed n probably not even crab, but I quite like the tangy flavour the skin has. Texture is pretty unique too.
  4. I do actually. Tesco do some nice ones, I'll just buy a pack now n then and eat em on their own. They peel apart like chesse strings I should maybe put that in the weird thread. The person below me games on a CRT TV
  5. You betcha. The person below me has never used Steam

It makes use of four fingers at a time so with 8 spells you just have to move between two rows. It works better than using the number bar but I will agree that it feels funky just do the fact that you're not using wasd to move around and I'm sure most of us only ever use those keys for that function. Yeah I'd say the sensation of having hand on the mouse and the other hand over the WASD keys at all time kind of makes you want to use WASD all the time. Shame it wasn't a straight up 9 elements, they could of used the numpad, then like 0 to activate ling spells (like how the spacebar currently works)
  7. Technically that'd be the Off-Topic section. Where if folks were wanting to discuss the Egypt stuff they'd be free to make a thread on it there.
  8. Well if you guys are getting friends to complete hard parts then you're probably going to get the cheeves in order, or just using the same account in the same house you should be fine. Since the account being used in other places and achievements in the wrong order are what set off the alarms for MS. Also it's semi-possible, but I doubt MS would do it. The chance of someone finding out would be a PR nightmare.
  9. Your fiancée not so keen on playing with shit players either?
  10. Who said he was a Pro? It's one of those games where you pick it up pretty quick, though very unforgiving and would probably scare a console player shitless.
  11. Mod Nation Racers is pretty damn fun. Especially as it's fast and intuitive enough to set up customized characters. LBP however you'd think is great co-op material, but the Pop-it menu takes a bit of explaining to get going, and the whole life system only giving 3/6 lives EVER, kind of means you'd be less inclined to hook up with shit players.
  12. It's cheating so far as the whole gamerscore thing goes. MS can't really get folks to buy into the whole idea that achievements are super excellent, and worth grabbing enough that you'll even buy shit games with easy achievements (which you'll never guess why shit games have easy achievements...), if they let folks cheat the system. I don't really get why you'd do it anyway. Should you later want to play that game you won't get that little ding, and your achievements are for games you've never really played, be a bit of an empty .... achievement. That and eventually MS will find you, hunt you down, and...remove your points. You know this is probably why MS commented he can earn his achievements back 'the normal way'.
  13. So I guess this would be the big one if possible. Basically just wondering if folks are maybe planning to pop along to any tradeshows and if maybe meetups would be a good idea? It's maybe stupid I'm suggesting this since for certain I won't be able to do 2 of them. (also I may of missed some out) So this years events are: US PAX East -11-13th March (this may be a bit late now) Boston, Mass PAX Prime - No idea, Seattle, Washington. Blizzcon - Oct 21-22, Anaheim, California Europe Eurogamer Expo - 22-25 Sept, Earls Court, London Gamescom - 17-21 August, Cologne, Germany GAMEfest - 14-18th September, NEC, Birmingham Japan Tokyo Game Show - No idea, Tokyo If I'm missing any, pipe up. Those are the ones I know off the top of my head.

See!!. I'm not the only one.
  15. ...was a cheater after all: http://consumerist.com/2011/01/mom-admits-autistic-son-cheated-on-xbox-live-meriting-label.html Called it. You don't get banned for being too good. He may of been better than most, but the reason you have an average is cos inevitably people would be above it. And MS would get nowhere if it was was known they banned pro players. Kid was autistic, not a saint.
  16. I may not completely approve of the game but the bulletstorm whip is a pretty nice change of pace from most weapons.
  17. So a pretty simple game. You make a statement about the person below you and then they reply with it is true or false (feel free to add additional information if you wish) then they make another statement and the chain continues. The person below me dislikes JRPGs
  18. http://kotaku.com/5747784/its-time-to-confess-our-video-game-lies Okay this one is kind of getting to me. It's a fair bit assumptive that because leigh lies about what games she's played, what bosses she's beaten, that obviously we all do it. Nope. I'm pretty damn open about the fact I've never touched a zelda game in my life, suck at SMB3, etc. Whats the point anyway? Especially when you're in a position you're surrounded by gamers, you're gonna get called up eventually. edit: replaced link with regular one. (totilo linked to the beta version) But now I've read regular version, most of the comments line up: Folks don't lie about their gaming achievements. Once again kotaku editors are out of touch with the gamers that read their site.
  19. Hey it's 1up. and 2up,3up,5up, 7-up etc how many did you burn through that day? (july btw) And Yes Man is a moderator testing account thingy.
  20. Yeah, console versions pretty much always hit the net well before the PC version. Sometimes as early as 2 weeks. Because consoles have 'no' piracy they don't stick any DRM or such so all it takes is someone getting the disc from warehouse or backroom of Gamestop and ripping it and uploading. DRM may seem flimsy, but it's definitely much more effective than fuck all.
  21. Yes I know. The article was amended to reflect that. Sorry that one cell in that entire chart being wrong apparently invalidates the whole thing for you. edit: Okay I have amended and prettied up the chart:
  22. Oh god. Just watched one of the best scenes ever in history of TV.
  23. Thing is I'm pretty sure they mentioned that already when talking about the Uncharted NGP game.
  24. Yeah I was away for weekend hehehe. Well you get what I meant at least?
  25. Luke Plunkett? Credit a tip? Have you just broken out a mental institution cos you sound maaaddd I'm just disgusted they're once again trying to tie current affairs news to video games. "Oh look a pop culture reference from Alien. This must be VG news!"
