Vita TV handles things by having a controller with touch built in. I'm still down with the idea of that controller thing being similar to DS4 with the central bit being capacative. Touch is likely gonna include things being like Angry Birds n such. Be stupid to miss out on that.

Man that's a shitty quality screen, especially at that size. The original Shield came with a 720 screen at 5" and that'll be nearing 4 years old when the Switch is out. I guess I kind of expect really really shit screens from Nintendo these days, but I figured with Nvidia in the mix it might be a 1080p screen at minimum.

They've put out some weird trailer thing. Noctis shouldn't drive when distracted. Also curious on that final bit given what we know from Kingsglaive about their "gods" (as far as I know there's actually 3 sets of gods being the main god/etro-type, the asc-something or other(summons), and the Luci, which provide the "Old Wall" for Lucis n Regis is now part of.) Also today revealed there will be online MP somehow. It was in the Paris stream though which I didn't watch(je ne parlais pas francais) so all I know is their minor post about it on twitter. I guess a way to have people take over other non-Noctis party members. Also it has Midgarzolom in it (a fair way from home), and also went Gold today.

America ruining remakes? Well I never!

Doctor Strange It's an MCU film so yeah it's solid. Kinda middling in the spectrum I'd say. Partly feel it's mainly to set up an infinity stone. But it's really good visually, plotting is solid you barely notice the dive into the third act. And while it has the "end of the world" type ending you get with comic films it's err done in a smart way. But yeah visually the SFX teams will have been having a shit ton of fun (or major headaches ) The cape is great.

A statement they've issued it is put towards the purchase of a PS4/PSVR if you go on to buy one. And supervising its use is still costing GAME, having to sit with someone for like a 15/30 min session (however long it is) is time that they're not selling games. They could just not do the demos and ideally have like Sony touring around bigger stores in the UK with it.

Corvo wearing the mask looks reet stupid, much better from a first person perspective with you putting it on.

He's your friend and a whole lot more.

Storks Picked by my younger brother to go see. Wasn't expecting much, got 2 star off Empire, hadn't seen any trailers except snippets playing off their phone. Wasn't overly terrible, I think could have been "good" if it had polish and maybe got rid of the pigeon character. The wolf pack was fun though, they start forming a bridge, in much the way you expect of climbing on top of each other to then fall across the chasm, instead they build a suspension bridge, and this sorta continues throughout the film. Some of the lines from the kid were pretty fun too.

I'm not watching it, but it's on my list to give a shot down the line.

On one hand kinda poopy, but saw someone mentione that it kinda makes sense in limiting access to a piece of hardware that's several hundred quid. The freeplay consoles they've got out it's only the controllers out so they get bust it's kinda cheap. But PSVR and that's a few hundred for GAME to eat. Though also someone mentioned in the same vein they could just do it as a £20 deposit of sorts on buying a PSVR.

In time for Halloween some special effects for horror films and such. (I like the thumbnail is for the first Terminator and it's clearly a dummy )

Sticking this in here since he's an x-men though I don't think this is following the Fox stuff at all.

https://www.sagaftra.org/files/struck_video_game_productions_list.pdf A neat thing to come from it is a neat list of all the upcoming games that are being err striked(?). Wooh, Blood Dragon! Also "Crash Bandicoot Remaster Project". Though there's sooo many code names . Best is EA making "Timbits"

Nintendo Switch and Pokemon S&M

eh, voice acting isn't exactly easy in the long run, and if they fuck up their voice they're just as out of work as if you're a labourer and unnecessary strain fucks up your back. Given what we know of the video game industry and the fact that it's purely video game VA going on strike and not other VAs I'd guess the strike is deserved. Given the slowly encroaching cinematics of games it's not really a case of recording "finish him" and "godlike" anymore. video game guys likely wanting similar rates as hollywood pays, which given quite a few games out-gross even top hollywood releases it makes sense.

End credit tune. Kinda weird. Oh n current theory, and makes a lot of sense to be true, is the Eye of Agamotto is an infinity stone, likely the time gem. Leaving Soul Gem leftover, likely to pop up in GotGvol2 in possession of Adam Warlock.

Donald Glover. Lando Calrissian.

It has been suggested that it's Nintendo that've self-saboataged the messaging on the 3rd party stuff given Bethesda n 2K have much the same release it's possible Nintendo told them what to say. It sounds like Nintendo are going radio silent for a while on confirming things until start of the year too, so speculation about really (a biggy being "does it charge off USB like every other device out there or some propriety thing like they usually do?"). Anywho mainly came here for this: http://i.imgur.com/5CFOMEr.gifv

So we're into day 2 of Switch announcement and already one third party only semi-confirmed with games coming. And they were in the damn trailer: http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2016-10-20-nintendo-switch-officially-revealed Oh Nintendo.

Yup it's 18-rated. I guess that means the end of Apocalypse was a tease for this? Also it has Richard E. Grant in it which is always neat (found out recently his autobiogrpahy is called "With Nails" ). People have noted his twitching is either(though possibly both) his excessive drinking or cooler: the fact his healing is reduced the big foot long claws springing out of his forearm through his wrist and out his knuckles are probably severely fucking with his tendons.

The Wii was pretty damn interesting. And yeah like that. No one seems to have them just the trailer thing n Nintendos site is just the trailer atm. One thing they didn't show is if it does touchscreen. I imagine that'd be a pain for the TV-mode, but I'd think for the tablet-mode it'd be a bit of a requirement by modern standards. Be very self-limiting to not have touchscreen support. Unless I guess the pad being powered would be that big central strip is a touch pad like the DS4 has.

@Thursday so it does. I kinda wish Nintendo put out some press shots for this.

I like how no one has linked the trailer, but I guess it'd take longer to do that than watch it

I'd imagine the basic controller base thing would come with it, would seem weird not to include that since I'd imagine it's pretty much just something to clip the bits into and hold on to. It doesn't look any more complex than that. It probably won't come with a power cable though knowing Nintendo I'd guess in theory they could do a stripped down basic SKU on par with like the 12GB PS3/Xbox 360 Arcade, just comes with the tablet, charging cable and the two "joy-cons" since that's literally all you need to make it work and target that as a handheld. But I can't imagine the controller grip and a base station would add much more cost to it so kinda might as well sell it with full capabilities. @Gerbil: Ah hadn't noticed that at first. I guess that's two games. Haven't most major players pulled out, like Ubisoft were there last big guy and I think all Ubi knock out for Nintendo now is Just Dance games. Oh and the Skylanders/Infinity/Dimensions stuff. @TCP: Skyrim Remastered + Vita Remoteplay. @Thursday: Not sure it'll have an expandable battery. The Wii U was clearly built to stick in a bigger battery but that model seems really slim, I doubt it'll have much space in there, tablets are usually build very cramped together.
