Well that was a whole load of nothing. I've had shags that've lasted longer.

I'm pretty sure that stand is purely a HDMI output and charging cradle. The Nvidia piece doesn't talk of it having two components to it, and it'd be highly unconventional. Essentially it's a tablet with a dock. A nintendo branded version of one of these: Just unlike say the Nvidia Shield I've a inkling the Switch won't support Shadowplay/PC Streaming. "The west" as far as gamers go far outweighs that of Japan though, so be a good idea for them to try n get some stuff on there. I doubt we'll see FFXV make its way to the Switch given it being a tablet. It's a pretty high-end looking game. It's also taking up much of the 50GB available too, which'll be suuuppper pricey to do that on carts. edit: @Ethan I've not really been following this along much. And "known" is up until Nvidia publishing their article today more "rumoured". edit2: I guess World of Final Fantasy would be up its street.

Oh it's not gonna perform anywhere near what you'll get in the PS4/Xbone. But will likely be on-par with a modern phone, which these days with Nvidia chips in them are pretty dang powerful (like compared to say...3DS). But it's what's expected of Nintendo, they don't do the whole particle effects n godrays stuff. Hopefully the nunchuck things are cheap cos they're gonna bust in an instant. Unsure what the local play thoughts are, it seems they showed for out and about you can play like two players with the controller split into two bits, but obviously your game choice will be limited if you've only a stick and a few face buttons. Kinda bad idea to show off Skyrim imo, I know it's getting a remaster out soon but end of the day it's a 5 year old game. It's also the only third party they showed which kinda reinforces the whole "Nintendo sucks for non Nintendo games". But that's just my thoughts. I'd have either stuck purely with Nintendo stuff, or made sure to have like 3+ or so third party stuff than a single 7th gen game for a ....err....assuming a console per generation they're now into "9th gen", but Wii U I guess was a bit of a fuck up so this a do-over I guess. edit: hahahah. So my whole "likely on par with modern phone, which powered by a nvidia chip can be pretty dang powerful". Guess who is back in the "console" game: https://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/2016/10/20/nintendo-switch/

I'd guess it's in its own timeline, much the same as how Old Man Logan is in the comics. e.g MCU is Earth-199999, Old Man Logan is Earth-807128. A "possible" future.

Neat music choice. Also old Patrick Stewart....err for what that's worth Prof X n Wolverine Road Trip movie. (also that's X-23 I assume)

yeah gerrymandering would only apply if you could completely recreate states. (p.s I imagine the real things don't allow you to vote more than once, though I'm unsure how) Also McCain was probably the last decent republican nominee, apart from the whole VP choice.

Iceland (the frozen food supermarket, not the country) has these "Hashbrown Fries" which are quite nice, especially when crispy. My only beef is they're a bit oily.

Huh, I thought US had opposed computer voting cos of the whole "but it can be hacked" thing. We still rock old solid paper n pen ballots over here. I guess that alone makes it easier to push the idea that it's rigged given it's "computers". Are they super bound to their states popular vote? I'd understood it as being more of a "suggestion" for them and while 99% of the time they'll go with the popular vote, they technically can pick whatever. So a few pennies in the pockets of the delegates n hey presto. Especially given I believe they cast all their states votes on one candidate, rather than a pick n mix based on the pop vote ratio. (e.g My state has 5 votes, the pop vote puts Hillary at 60 n Trump at 40%, so I put in 3 for Hillary n 2 for Trump. Instead I put all of them towards Hillary).

@Mal: Ahhh. Hadn't noticed there was a hat on your avatar. My brain just kinda went "anime girl" n left it at that @TN: See my thinking on the "it's all rigged" is: 1. There's likely thousands of ballot counters across the country from a broad range of political backgrounds. It'd be an immense conspiracy in same sense of faking the moon landing. 2. If he wins the "rigged election" then what does that say about how he won. If it was rigged he shouldn't be able to win, unless he rigged it in reverse.... 3. Though ultimately the electoral college is fucked up so wouldn't matter on the popular vote in theory. (which kinda confuses me on why all the effort to sway the popular vote) Ultimately he's just laying the foundations for his (hopeful) failure so he can be like "I never stood a chance against crooked hillary!". But yeah the disenfranchising people thing is kinda toxic.

I'm guessing it's a US thing in the context I've seen it, and with Malicious using it as "spooky halloween name" it's not something good. But what's "MAGA". I tried googling it n found there's a few Krava Maga classes in my city, so I guess Google doesn't know either.

I had played it, stopped a while back. IT didn't really wholly engage me and was pretty slow to load up n get going which for a mobile game means it's not quite a "I'm waiting on the bus let's pop something on for a bit". It is extremely simplistic in battles with only a single guy to control which removes the vast majority of tactics you could have, and largely down to luck if you'll get say health orbs to heal up or whatever. Exvius I've stuck with though and that has a better story (still weak by modern standards but there's enough of a thread to it and the characters have some personality to them), and better tactics to it with a broad range of weapons, characters (both original and from past FFs). It's free to play so always worth checking out n see if it clicks for you.

Heck, over here "White African" is an ethnic group cos we know not all africans are black and not all blacks are from africa (quite a few are caribbean cos of colony stuff). Asian British is an officially used term too (given well colonies again). Officially I am "White British" for example when filling out gov forms n such. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classification_of_ethnicity_in_the_United_Kingdom#Ethnicity_categories I have heard of some brits moving to US n getting called "African American", which is wrong on so many points

Well nice to know it's working out well for some.

Still crap music choice. But looks neat, seems they're defo going with the overall arc of the first/start of second in him learning skills n using them to escape. Also it's the "Assassins Order/Brotherhood of Assassins/etc", the "Assasins Creed" is their rules: -Stay your blade from the flesh of an innocent. -Hide in plain sight, be one with the crowd. -Never compromise the Brotherhood. As well as I guess: Nothing is true, everything is permitted

Was chatting with my mum. She said when I moved back in after uni she hated that I'd be constantly singing Monkees songs. At first I thought she was joking, but then I saw her face. And for Gerbils above.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-37679896 I'm pretty sure at this point no one knows what the fuck is going on and the March deadline is just to try n come up with a proper excuse to just stop it in its tracks. A big part of the Leave campaign was against "unelected bureaucrats" yet May wasn't voted by anyone and is pushing through Article 50 and not allowing it to go to vote in parliament. I just don't understand what at all she expects to gain from being the PM that pushed through Article 50. Considering all the Thatcher comparisons she's already on a backfoot for a positive legacy. In other news the UKIP MEP that got punched by a fellow UKIP MEP has quit UKIP http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-37682828

"the asian subcontent". Over here due to the influx of folks from that region for empire reasons "asian" usually meant folks from india n pakistan, but (i assume from american influence) is starting to lean towards east-asians. Russians just sit twiddling their thumbs in the weird european-asian venn diagram. anywho I came here to ask a question about the 2nd amendment but when I went to copy paste it I realised it's not quite wholly phrased in the "being necessary to the security of a free state" bit how I thought it was. (I thought the word "tyranny" was included in there somewhere given we're taught it was a response to us). Heh when you think about it this is the ultimate culmination of the revolutionary war in that going from no taxation without representation to potentially being represented by someone who isn't taxed.

Yeah saw about that other week, it leaned my purchase of FFXV towards GAME since hopefully the amount I have on my rewards card will be valid come end of Nov n it's a healthy chunk from buying PS4.

Thursdays are pretty spooky. Like Thursday 12th. That's Friday 13th Eve. Anywho, RDR never quite got it hooks into me. I completed it n all but never felt like it was anything special. I liked the mechanics for walking alongside NPCs (as mentioned a couple weeks back), n the shooting stuff was sorta okay. iirc my general impression of it was it was ridiculously empty, but I imagine that can change with a modern console.

It's October, let's play some spooky games!
deanb replied to toxicitizen's topic in General Gaming Chat
GMG are doing a deal of a 4-pack of horror games for 49p. You're probably not gonna get like REVI or whatever (I don't know horror games so dunno what's new n hip n £40) but I imagine you'll get something spooky-ish n hey it's 49p. https://www.greenmangaming.com/games/halloween-4-game-pack/ edit: oh n if you did the Golden Joystick thing you have £/$/€1 credit so it's essentially free. -
So I noticed yesterday that GAME have knocked up the price of Move controllers now the PSVR is out to £60 a pop. I've got a set with Move n Nav for like £5 a couple years ago from them.

One of mine from many many moons ago: So Nic Cage and John Travolta walk into a bar, and the bartender says, "Why the wrong face?"
-
Sentinels of the Multiverse on Steam cos it's 69p.

Someone at the BBC wanted some 4K cameras. Ethan will be happy.
