A very self aware film (and one of the few I've watched all the credits for). Though very simple plot n telegraphing. You don't bring in Peter Stormare for the start and have him escape for that to be the only scene he's in. Onwards to more films!

Personally this struck me as more a "Film Theory" thing since it's more about temp music at its core, mainly using Marvel as an example since it's such a hugely popular franchise. It also avoids that most of them were humming theme tunes and he covered incidental background music. There is actually an avengers theme and it's re-mixed into a chunk of the films see It's just not very iconic really. (also everyone messed up with not singing AC/DC or any of the numerous tracks in GotG)

Yeah, I felt given the reports this was a pretty solid "beginning, middle and end" type story. Was expecting a much more drastic cut-off. It's obviously not a "everything got wrapped up" story, there's the loose threads of conspiracy but it's to be expected. Given we know most of the "bad guys" are gonna be kicking around for JC Denton to take down. Jensen was always going to be limited to taking on the minor plotting or inconsequential Illuminati members, heck if anything it'd be more likely he'll accidentally set-up creation of the Dentons and gray death given what we know of his genetics.

Remasters drop in price quick? I've been eyeing up Nathan Drake Collection and Last of Us for a while now n they don't seem to want to drop much in price. Though I am in tight-fisted mode at the moment.

Highlander I feel I'd need to have seen it at the time. It's sort of one of those "bad it's good" kind of films. The dialogue is trash, the editing janky, the sound is just horrendous. But it's a solid standalone story and something a bit unique (That got beaten into the ground ages later). Also rocking Queen soundtrack. Even makes it fit in 17th Century Scotland. Also the native Scottish Sean Connery playing an Egyptian born Spaniard is like ....they're not taking their own film sherioushly.

Hey they're doing a sequel. Love that opening sequence Seems very similar to the previous with shinier graphics. The guy doesn't seem to talk (I skipped through the video a bit so maybe he might at bits) which is a bummer since no expanding on potential new bits. edit: there is of course thier YT channel

Elias Toufexis (Adam Jensen) playing Mankind Divided. He takes advantage of the ability to ad-lib lines. Talking a bit about the process of making the game, and "that Dota thing that took ages". It's mainly a play through of some of the more talky-sections.

You still have SDTV? Anyway when PS3/360 launched the vast majority didn't have HDTV, but eventually folks did and their consoles were there to upgrade with them. I think this is less a console for folks looking to upgrade, though they will be there, and alongside the Slim another option and enticement for first time buyers. Given that the PS4 and Xbone have both moved to an X86 base and essentially off the shelf components we're likely to see a more iterative upgrading approach. In much the same way we don't have "Gaming PC 2", just annual improvements.

I imagine they'll make money off it. Pokemon GO is raking in a fair bit, up to $400m last I heard making it one of the more profitable Pokemon games. It's just a bummer still not doing a VC app.

Part of the PS4 Pro stuff they knocked out a minor segment in 4K with promise of more upcoming. tbh the environment looks a bit...generic isn't quite the right word but like...it looks like a place that wouldn't be out of place in say Destiny.

I'm going for it, this game has put out demos (two), had plenty shown playing through, walked through a bunch of the systems, and hasn't implied there's MP in there. I'm a bit bummed that it's further heading from the older turn based FF battles, but it's fairly close to FFXII so not too bad. It looks like it'll be gorgeous as hell. And I'm kinda intrigued by the world they've set up, especially following Kingsglaive.
