Yeah, I'm so tempted to jump on that, but I'm afraid I might step on my secret Santa's toes haha. Thankfully the Big Picture sale has some stuff for me that I hadn't put in my wishlist yet.

  2. Everyone say HAPPY BIRTHDAY STRANGELOVE!

  3. turns out my steam id is actually excel_excel after all! So USE THAT.
  4. I'm fine with short games, to an extent. I rarely buy games full price these days, and if its something that is around five hours then I'm even more unlikely to buy it on release day, but when its on sale, I'll have no qualms about buying something that's short but quality as much as I would a long title. Its rare that retail games offer that little amount of time because game length is such a variable these days anyway. Jamestown, for example, is short in terms of level length but the amount of time you will play that content is far more then its game 'length'.
  5. That's fucking awful. Worst part "The resources are permanently edited, rendered useless." That could be years of work ruined because your legitimate version might fuck up. Mike Dailly, I presume the studio head of Game Maker Studio, commented they are removing this 'destruction protection' with an update tomorrow. Will it actually fix people's ruined work though?
  6. Beat Hotel Dusk: Room 215. Loved it. Its an adventure/visual novel, in that you explore the hotel in a 3D environment, but your interactions with characters are visual novel in a nature. The memorable characters, the smart writing, the beautiful rotoscoped sprites, the puzzles, this is top stuff. The way the characters change and develop over the game is just so well written and natural feeling. Its like you are getting to know actual people. Now to get the sequel!
  7. Dark Souls PC download $14.99 amazon.com, comes with a Steam key http://www.amazon.com/Dark-Souls-Prepare-Online-Game/dp/B00917DBUE/ref=sr_1_31?tag=cheap0ca5-20
  8. Gamefly.co.uk, Skyrim for £10, and then with this coupon code NOV20OFFUK its down to £8 http://www.gamefly.co.uk/Download-The-Elder-Scrolls-V-Skyrim/5002231/#axzz2D57B4m2G
  9. I played that on the Gamecube. It was hideously bad back then as well. and the way the characters mouths move like moving rectangles.......
  10. Bought these 2 in CEX on the cheap a little while back. All Stars was its Wii price which was like a tenner so WIN WIN FOR ME. Both really enjoyable. WWE All Stars really surprised me, its much more immediately enjoyable then the current WWE games series. And I bought this on Zavvi for €13. Zavvi are rubbish though, they take so long with some deliveries. Still waiting on 'processing' with this one.
  11. Happy Thanksgiving to all the Americans! Everyone else carry on. Nothing to see here.

  12. Devil May Cry demo is out. Its decent and it feels like DMC. Its pretty good. Also the demo has some secret challenges accesible during it, love that stuff.

The combat feels like DMC. Of course its 30FPS instead of 60FPS, but it was a smooth 30 FPS during gameplay.

Also, quite a looker. The environments look great. There's one bit where you're travelling through a church and the floor separates in such a cool way.

just played it. It was definitely DMC combat. And the humor was great too haha. All the F bombs actually made me lol

Microsoft will pay for this treachery. I do have friends on xbox live! I think....its been a while. Jokes on them, instead of watching their apps and playing games, I moved to Mexico and watched Titanic a million times.
  14. Good choices from the lads, Demon's Souls is a great choice too and Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time is fantastic fun. Heavy Rain is worth experiencing once and that's also really cheap as well. On PSN, Wipeout HD and Pixeljunk Monsters are two top titles.
  15. no.....steam sale tomorrow...noo...NOOOOO

  17. Hoping for a 25% off deal at Christmas. C'mon Sony.....c'mmmmonnn. Ya know I'm good for it. This is something Nintendo and MS should do. Really improved Plus has. And getting the Vita plus with your regular PS3 plus? That's a deal SON.
  18. ah shit, getting 404 errors and on the site they games are all priced. Must be a UK only thing.
  19. http://www.zavvi.com/games/platforms/pc/dark-souls-prepare-to-die-edition/10605069.html Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition PC for £9.95/€12.85 on Zavvi. BARGAIN. Delivery is always a bit of a wait but at that price I don't care.

Enjoy! Getting hyped with the positive reviews for the launch titles. NSMB Wii U looks to be the best NSMB ever.

  21. http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2012/11/frozenbyte_indie_developers_have_more_control_on_wii_u_eshop good news about indie games on Wii U. They set their own prices and NIntendo don't seem to have a strict price set in place for patches or a limited number of patches a game can have. Very interesting and good news.
  22. Are you trading these or giving them out? YES PLEASE! Can I have Superbrothers: Swords and Sworcery? Thanking you! http://steamcommunity.com/id/excel_excel
  23. I JUST WON 60,900 CASINO TOKENS FROM A SLOT MACHINE IN DRAGON QUEST VI! These little places in JRPG's like casinos that house mini games, are fantastic. in DQ VI the first casino I'm at (there's 3 in the game I'm told) I can play the slot machines, which have charge more depending on which you pick, and I can play poker and try get more tokens that way, to buy powerful items. You pay 20 gold coins (the games currency) for 1 token. A little addictive distraction in a big world, I love it. Of course the best example of a JRPG going totally crazy and giving you practically a themepark load of different mini games to play was Final Fantasy VII and the amazing Golden Saucer. Snowboarding, Chocobo racing, Basketball throwing, Mog's house, crane games. Awesome. This trope should be in every JRPG. Casinos, card games like Tetra Triad from Final Fantasy VIII and Tetra Master from IX, glorious. I may have actually wanted to slog through XIII for more than 30 hours if they had an awesome little mini game like that to play.
  24. Flash drives will work but they advise 'against it'. They'll still work though. Not ideal at all, but hopefully its something that can be put down to individual games that cause these issues.
  25. Oh that tumblr is glorious! I'm cautiously optimistic. Me and GTA just never gelled. I've never finished one. Maybe its time.....oh and yeah I think all the PC gamers feel like this man succinctly put it.
