  2. I never sing in the shower, but this morning I suddenly started belting out the theme song for MGS3: Snake Eater. I think I may need to get that HD collection after all...

Do it, Duke. I know I am! I'm curious as to the trophies.

  3. Is Capra Demon that thing that attacks you as soon as you enter and has two wolves that are also circling you? That thing is so frustrating. Still, it might be easier than fighting these golems and that stupid hydra/moonlight butterfly.
  4. What's your name on Origin, excel? I know our pings will probably be shit but I want to try playing you anyway.
  5. It's interesting to think about how we treat different social networks. On Twitter, I just flat-out recommended "I Saw the Devil", but on Facebook, I had to warn with "If you're squeamish, don't watch" so my aunt and parents don't watch it

I guess it's how you are portrayed or portray yourself. For me, my Facebook is professional, so I'll only do so much. But my Twitter and Blog are anonymous on face, so I have more flexibility in regards to how I wish to be perceived.

      Oh, and great movie.

  6. I Saw the Devil. Such a superb movie. The director gets extremely creative with the foreground and background, and makes a rather beautifully-shot tale of horror and revenge. The acting is also fantastic, and the movie kept me guessing until the credits started rolling. That being said, I think I've been desensitized to on-screen violence. Plenty of actions in the film were truly disturbing and gross, and my brain registered them as such. But in terms of getting a shock out of me, it was more like a "wow, that must hurt" rather than a "OH MY GOD WHAT AM I WATCHING IS THIS REAL LIFE?". Anyway, I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys a nice, disturbing thread of death and destruction. Or any budding filmmakers out there, to get some prime examples of how to properly add weight and tension to a scene.
  7. I don't see anything wrong with the "faggot is a dirty word" story. While I can never claim to understand where he's coming from as I've never been molested, I do tend to get upset when someone posts something rather hurtful about a subject they couldn't begin to comprehend. Back in middle school, some students took advantage of my mentally-challenged nature to make me the class joker of the school. It's why I've always had a lot of trouble with jokes about mentally-handicapped people. The COMMENTS on that story, on the other hand... let's just say seeing some of those comments makes me very angry.
  8. So I've come over to the dark side of the Force and bought Battlefield 3. I'll admit, I had my reservations at first. But I am having a blast with the game.
  9. Yes, Johnny. If I don't go ahead and set it to start in offline mode, no games for me. Then again, if I'm playing offline then no Battlefield 3. It cuts both ways.
  10. We did the same thing when we watched The Grudge 2 on some cruise ship. The girl would appear under someone's desk and we just kept snickering.
  11. Please go and say that to the Iraqi vet who served TWO tours of duty and is now in a coma from a flash bang OPD claims they never threw. I'm sure you'll make his day... if he ever wakes up again.
  12. I feel a burning need to discuss everything happening around "Occupy Wall Street". So I've decided to make a thread where we can link to pertinent videos and articles, and discuss this radical movement. First, an excellent article written by Slate about the mainstream media's obsolescence and inability to properly discuss just what the hell OWS is about: http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/politics/2011/10/how_ows_confuses_and_ignores_fox_news_and_the_pundit_class_.html?tid=sm_tw_button_chunky Next, we have some forceful beatings of a peaceful protest by the NYPD, which especially made my stomach churn: Let's not forget the flash bang that caused this particular protest in Oakland, thrown at an Iraqi vet that served two tours and is now in a coma. Oakland Police still deny that they ever used flash bangs, though this video makes that claim pretty hard to refute: http://youtu.be/QqNOPZLw03Q And this is how the Washington Post decided to cover it all: http://wonkette.com/455265/washington-post-illustrates-oakland-police-brutality-with-cop-petting-kitten

I was really sad about Stan Jobs' death too. He was Steve's younger, and less loved by his parent brother. Stan Jobs, you may not have invented the iPod, but your invention, the Poopie, was still just great. Keep on chugging along.

  16. http://www.giantbomb...-promised/3770/ Alex Navarro adds his own voice to the whole Battlefield 1943 controversy. I agree with him that the problem is not that it isn't included, but that no one notified customers of this AT ALL before they started complaining about it being missing. 17. Last night I dreamed that I was Harley Quinn's old partner. For whatever reason she decided to swoop back in and torment me. Except she wasn't the normal Harley Quinn you see in Batman fiction; more like a cross between Quinn and Mileena. She kept appearing at every corner with a creepy smile, and eventually she decided she had enough of this little game, unhinged her jaw, made this horrible, guttural sound... Then I woke up.
