  1. Where can you farm "7000 souls in two minutes"? I'm intrigued.
  2. Unless you are 100% certain that the developers/publishers approve of it (like the whole "Transfarring" thing Kojima's doing with the MGS HD package), when it comes to playing the same game on another system, you should buy it again.
  3. Dark Souls is incredibly awesome. Half the time, I'm saying "FUCK THIS THING" and the other half I'm doing a celebratory dance. I just hope my equipment doesn't start breaking before I make it to the first shop...

I just got forty pounds from my Grandfather as a late birthday gift, seriously considering grabbing it but I would only be able to play it during this weekend until December when I get home from uni for the xmas holidays.

It was great until a certain dragon with a certain needed item glitched out so now I'm fucked without the drake sword. Returning it through gamefly in a few days.

Just ordered it... Hah. Managed to get the day one limited edition so that's cool :D

  4. Never mind, got past them. FUCK THESE RATS. FUCK THIS BOAR. I really need to figure out how to backstab...
  5. Hey, what tricks do you recommend to get past the dragon?
  6. All right, I'll be free today and on the weekend.
  7. Hey, should I buy Dark Souls or RAGE? I CAN'T MAKE UP MY MIND.

Agreed with Faiblesse. Dark Souls is the sequel to what is in my opinion the best action RPG ever made, and everything I'm hearing makes the sequel sound even better.

RAGE is just a shooter with ZOMG GRAPHIX. For me it'd be no contest. Dark Souls any day of the week.

I imported Demon's Souls for $80 dollars... and never beat it. Not a fan of difficulty for no other reason than difficulty.

I've heard Rage is essentially Borderlands but prettier, though.

I've bee playing Dark Souls. It has all the difficulty people say, but it lacks the immersion of other rpgs. I would rent Dark Souls, rent/buy Batman, and DEFINITELY buy Skyrim.

  8. I loved the way Braid looked. Very painterly.
  9. I am really tempted to pick this up, but I'm also scared that I won't be good enough to handle it.
  10. Started Samurai Champloo. Man, this show has a top-notch sense of style! Also, another main character by Steve Blum? Does this dude get any sleep?

I just want a new show from the director. It's long overdue.

I really need to watch Samurai Champloo soon. I've heard so many good things about the show.

  11. Finished FLCL. Man, what a headtrip! While I really loved the first five episodes, I'm not sure how I felt about the ending. I was sad more than anything else when it ended. I guess what I had in my head was improbable, but still, it would've made for a pretty sweet ending. Also, I'm still not sure I understand the significance of certain events and story beats. What I do know is that it was one hell of a ride, and I'd love to watch another one like it, if one exists at all. That female character is so incredibly awesome.
  12. Finished Episode 4. It's been the most "what the fuck?" episode thus far. I also found out where you got your name from, Atomsk88.
  13. Today, my hopes are renewed. I may be able to drop this Statistics class after all. My brain is incapable of solving these math problems. I'll feel pretty pathetic dropping it, but it's the only thing I can do.

Statistics makes my brain hurt, and I'm someone who didn't think Diff Eq was too hard...

Or get a Ti-83 Plus calculator and learn how to use it.

      I have a TI-84. And that doesn't help.

  14. Any time this weekend, really. There's a football game, but I feel too sick to attend.
  15. http://www.theonion.com/articles/last-american-who-knew-what-the-fuck-he-was-doing,26268/ The Onion has their own take.
  16. http://www.giantbomb.com/news/transformers-fall-of-cybertron-announcement-reveals-dinobots-sadness/3720/ I read the tagline and knew immediately who wrote it. I hope to someday carry such a pervasive sense of voice in my writing.
  17. I think the lesson to take away from all of this is that we should aspire to leave the same kind of mark that Jobs left behind on the world. Sure, he wasn't as important as Einstein. But he did make one hell of a difference for millions of people and became the face of technological progress for almost a decade. That in itself is an incredible achievement, and one that more and more individuals should work for.
  18. NBA Jam: On Fire Edition. It's really awesome! Even if you're not a fan of sports or sports games (like myself), there's a lot to love in this revival of one of the best arcade games out there. It's incredibly goofy and entertaining.
  19. Reposting what I wrote on Kotaku. All I can think of is how sickly he looked year after year. His bony appearance made me want to cry. No one deserves to be turned into a husk of a person by cancer. Fuck cancer. He made Pixar, my favorite animation studio ever. He made the Apple computer, the first real challenge to Windows. He made the iPod, a device that made me sane in the years where insanity was all around me. He made the iPad, a tool that finally broke down the barriers between my autism and my work. For inspiring millions, and for everything he's done, I hope heaven gives him eternal peace and serenity in return. Rest in peace, Steve Jobs.

I don't, nor do I want to, participate in class action lawsuits. It's lame that they take this away, but I just wont bother with this nor actually mailing it in.

    4. Strangelove

      Strangelove

Im too lazy to care overall. I cant imagine ever involving in a sad ass class action lawsuit.

  21. This conversation has turned from a philosophical and ethical debate into personal attacks and judgments of character. We should either change direction or lock this thread entirely, because if it's just going to be personal attacks, there's no reason to continue the discussion.
  22. I think that touches a deeper concern on whether the price they ask for a game is too much. But that's another argument for another thread.
  23. Also, FLCL managed the impossible and made a Vespa look like a badass motor vehicle. Also, do the Japanese have some sort of fascination with punk culture? I thought it was just Suda 51 that was in love with punk, but FLCL's insanity with hard rock and a guitar weapon makes me think that it might be a widespread thing over there.
  24. I feel it would be beneficial if more companies set up an "instant trial service" like EA did with Gaikai (I think that's what it's called) or have both instant trials, rentals and purchases, like OnLive. Want to see if Warhammer 40k is worth your time? Get a 30-minute taste, and if you want more, rent it from their service, or buy it from the stores.
