Now I have to convince hall gov to use some floor funding to get us new TVs, because the DLP ones fucking suck and keep breaking.     After thinking about it for a good long time, I think I can safely say that The Witcher 2 is the best damn RPG I've ever played.

    Apparently you'll be forced to use your web browser to search for games on BF3 for PC. http://www.destructoid.com/battlefield-3-has-no-in-game-browser-server-on-pc-209346.phtml That means if you want to join another server after you're finished playing in one, you have to quit out of the game completely, head over to the Battlelog website, and look for a new one.

    I love that scene in the movie. The entire audience practically let out a gasp, while some loudly proclaimed "What the fuck?" It was truly a magical theater moment, and one of the best I've ever had.

    I guess I just expected something more intelligent from Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead are practically air-tight comedies; the timing, execution, and humor are all top-notch. I guess removing Edgar Wright from the equation may have caused a less-than-ideal result.

    3DS is having problems connecting to my campus wi-fi! FUCK! How am I supposed to pick up my 20 free games if I can't connect to Internet? Worse yet, how can I Super Street Fighter (a game I was thinking about picking up) online?

    Paul. It has some genuinely great jokes, and some cute references to nerd culture, but it doesn't really get you to care for the characters. Also, just like The Invention of Lying, it became way too preachy about atheism. It's also one thing to have valid arguments against Christianity and quite another to base your entire point on "Hurr hurr, Christians sure are dumb!" You want to have a thoughtful discussion about a serious topic in your dumb comedy? Fine, but make sure the material is handled properly, so your points don't become as goofy as the rest of the movie. (Disclaimer: Certain Christian movies are just as guilty when it comes to shoving the faith down your throat in unsubtle, heavy-handed strokes.)

    "30 Minutes or Less". I don't know what my brother saw in this, because it was absolutely awful. Maybe going to see it early made him look at it with rose-tinted glasses (but he did confirm that a particular part in the beginning was awful, so I don't know). I'm usually a fan of everyone involved, but the script was garbage.

    Returned the malfunctioning Beats to Best Buy and got a new pair. Holy crap, these make everything sound better! The Bejeweled announcer now sounds like an evil god.

    Didn't he say it was extra items? That sounds entirely fair. It's not like you're missing out on entire sections of the game; just small, item-filled hatches. If I remember correctly, Dead Space 2 did something similar, only the hatches were brought online by owning and running Dead Space Ignition at least once.

    Bought a pair of Beats Tours, took them home, plugged them in, "Whoops, defective!" Hopefully it's a fringe case, because my cyclist friend (yes, I see him in real life) swears by them.

      I would love to, but for some reason, my parents won't let me spend my own Goddamn money on anything but in-ear headphones. And since they would trust Dillon with their lives, I'm also shoehorned into choosing something from the Beats line.

       

      For what it's worth, the sound quality seemed pretty decent to me on the pair he had me try out.

      Also, the problem with headphone research is that almost every pair of every brand has 5 star and 1 star reviews. Each pair is both the best thing ever or a gigantic piece of shit.

    Wow, my 3DS battery died rather quickly. Does turning the 3D functionality off expand the battery life significantly? I'll need all the juice I can get for the flight on Sunday.

      It's been a long while since I read up on that, but from what I heard was that there was a slight difference, not a big one. In the least you can charge them both up just in case.

      I seem to recall reading somewhere that turning off the 3D almost doubles the battery life. I wouldn't know since I always play with it on, haha.

    Blows my mind that people are shocked over the non-Portal video winning the "Exile, Vilify" music video contest. It's the only one that lets the damn song stand on its own two legs, like a music video is supposed to do.
