  1. I snuck a peek back at Kotaku, and... I still can't believe KingKellogg has a star.

  2. Insidious. Fuck sleep. I won't sleep. You can't make me sleep tonight. It got too explain-y halfway through and I was ready to write it off but then James Wan (the sly bastard) pulls it all through for a freaky finish. I will watch whatever James Wan makes next. I loved the first Saw (he made that) and I love what he did with this one. I don't know what I'll do when that Del Toro movie comes out. If this one was only PG-13, and Don't Be Afraid of the Dark is R for "terror", then I'm fucked.
  3. Activision has announced a new Guitar Hero. So, did they just cancel the series so they could make their current employees "redundant"?/

They did say they were "putting it on hold".

    3. McBeeferton

      McBeeferton

But considering how fast they make GH titles, it's been on "hold" long enough in their perception of time. :P

    4. 「Advent Chaos」

      「Advent Chaos」

Yeah they said they were gonna be on indefinite hold or somethin', you can't seriously believe they would permanently kill on of their most sold franchises? Here's to DJ Hero 3

  4. FUCK THE FUCK YES ...I mean, "I dare say, that is one exceptionally-cool addition to a roster already packed with A-list fighters!"
  5. I crafted myself a Cow Mangler! It's the best rocket launcher I've ever used. My love for you is never-ending, Valve.
  6. I saw Deathtrap. It was good! Michael Caine sure loves movies with gigantic twists in them.
  7. @CapcomEuro: "It's a shame fans didn't want to become more involved :( if we saw there was an audience for MML3 people might change minds" CAPCOM BE TROLLING

  8. Game Journos guy is a dick. He's guilty of practically everything he calls out other writers for.
  9. I really don't get why so many people just post links to Kotaku being dipshits. It's already a given that they act like dipshits. You're rewarding them with more pageviews when you do this. I see any link posted by stephentotilo or crecenteb on Twitter, and I know not to click it. I have effectively cut out any pageview support I previously gave them. To really send a message and let your voice be heard, I suggest you all do the same.
  10. I feel like the shield actually makes him more badass. It's more than some protective measure; it's also his main weapon, and seeing him throw/smack it is pretty awesome. During the Quick Look for the game over at Giant Bomb, watching the shield hit three or four people in one throw, with a satisfying metallic clangy sound, made me want to buy midnight tickets to the movie.
  11. You know, I used to hate Jim Sterling, but now I don't really mind him so much. I just wish he'd tone it down on the salty language. Plenty of kids read sites like Destructoid, and they don't need to see words like "cunt" flung around so carelessly.
  12. Four Rooms. I feel like it's the cousin to Hudson Hawk; both are fascinating failures you can't turn away from. Rodriguez's "room" in the film is the only one I would qualify as good. Tarantino's was just okay. Every other room is rather painful, but Tim Roth keeps you watching. His bellboy character is so insane that you're just transfixed by him the entire time.
  13. Winnie the Pooh. SHAMELESS PLUG, GO! http://wp.me/p1C1NO-q Yeah, I loved the shit out of it. It's only an hour, but it's the most adorable hour you'll ever experience.
  14. I reviewed Winnie the Pooh! It's a rather grand film: http://wp.me/p1C1NO-q

And yes, the name of my site is "The Cunning Critic". I suck at naming just about everything.

What's sad is that this will be the first time most kids ever heard of a Spotted or Herbaceous Backson.

  15. I'm not entirely sure what part of the world you're from, but a 3D ticket costs $15 here. $15 to see a dimmer version of a movie everyone probably owns on VHS or DVD. The only significant part about that date for me is that they'll be re-releasing it on Blu-Ray, and it looks like they've cleaned up the visuals for the occasion.
  16. Sometimes it's so hard to love Hugh Jackman. Between this and X-Men Origins: Wolverine, it's like "What the fuck were you thinking? You can get much better roles than this any day of the week." Also: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCKCSBpfL0M Thanks a lot for further bastardizing The Lion King, Disney. "The Lion King 2" and "3" weren't enough. Now you've got to put the first one in "3D", which is frankly impossible. It'll just end up looking like you're reading a book with layers. At least they're still acknowledging the best movie they've ever made, though.
  17. I like Game Informer... But I can agree that IGN is usually a bucket of garbage. Remember that Dead Space 2 review http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/114/1145296p1.html I feel like it's been edited since I read it last. I could have sworn that it started with "Today, I'm going to write about Dead Space 2", but it's still pretty awful.
  18. "The Lion King 3D"? Fuck you, Gumby (Disney)!

    1. deanb

      deanb

wait, that's a 2D animated film. There's a couple CG elements, but not enough to make a full 3-D film.

    2. CorgiShinobi

      CorgiShinobi

I guess they could do some layering effect, but if it's true, we might be looking at an animation overhaul. :V

    3. Mal

      Mal

      ... Fuck. No.

I dare them to touch the older films.

  19. Isn't it kind of weird, how some people go watch a movie just to see the trailer? It's kind of like the people who watch a movie just because "such-and-such actor/actress is hot". I was considering buying tickets to the 3D version of "Cars 2" because I knew they would be premiering the trailer for "Brave" there, and I wasn't sure if Disney was going to hold the trailer hostage for months on end.
  20. I feel like the part that I didn't like all had to do with the very, very end. It looked like faces were superimposed onto bodies using CG. Also, it's a bad ending in the book, and it's a bad ending in the movie.
  21. So, Wilfred is pretty awesome. In fact, FX in general makes some of the best original programming.

That sounds rather accurate. I know my brother would think it was some "trippy hippy hipster shit".

    4. MasterDex

      MasterDex

It's based on an Australian show so I wouldn't call it original programming. That said, I have been enjoying it so far.

  22. I'm really not digging Spotify. I think I will stick with Rdio.
  23. Duke Nukem is the #2 bestseller in the US. Shadows of the Damned only sold 24,000 copies. I fucking hate people.

    2. Mr. GOH!

      Mr. GOH!

So a juvenile American game outsold a juvenile Japanese game in the US? Why are you surprised?

    3. Connorrrr

      Connorrrr

^Doesn't surprise me in the slightest but it's still shite. Shadows of the Damned was a pretty good game.

    4. Gigawings

      Gigawings

I see SotD and maybe it was juvenile, but it still damn funny.

Duke win because there's nudity and blowjob.
