    Just got back from seeing Harry Potter Part Deux. We had quite the audience alongside us: 1. Zombie Dobby (Some girl wearing elf ears and a bag covered in blood stains) 2. Some dude with fairy wings 3. Loads of people wearing dress shirts under sweaters to mimic the school look, swinging wands around and screaming spells 4. Some teenager walking around holding three wands, asking what side we were on. He knighted anyone who said they were with the good guys. I said I was on Team Jacob. He didn't appreciate that. 5. By luck of the draw, the fucking potheads from my Transformers 3 outing landed into my theater. OUT OF 20 THEATERS, THEY FIND THEIR WAY INTO MINE. The movie itself was rather well-done (save for the very, very end, but since that was also fucked in the book, I knew they would have to go through with it). Dan Rad got his chance to flex more of his acting muscles (with varying results), and Hans Gruber once again killed it as Professor Snape. Oh, and Helena Bonham Carter was Helena Bonham Carter. I can't even tell her characters apart anymore. Overall, I'd recommend it to people who have watched Part 1. A fitting end to a great series... until Rowling releases Pottermore, and I end up buying every book again on eBook formats and re-reading them. EDIT: Forgot to add that when people screamed "MISCHIEF MANAGED" when the credits rolled, I wanted to punch someone. I'm a nerd, and I respect nerdy things, but even I have my limits. Especially when it's 3 in the goddamn morning.

    Got into Spotify! It seems... just like Rdio. Except I don't have the hipster friends that recommend me hipster music on Spotify. And do the ads at the bottom go away with paid membership?

      Yeah, I got in too. And yes, I think they go away with the premium membership, but not the unlimited one.

    Forget Half-Life 3, Kingdom Hearts 3 is the new Duke Nukem Forever. With Valve, I can at least trust that HL3 will be a good game.

      Never could finish KH2. Came in pretty late and the rental copy I had kept freezing at the same place :(

       

      Though I recently read something about SE looking into HD-conversion tech. A KH HD collection would make me very happy. Think it also mentioned something about KH3, now that I think of it. It was on IGN, I believe.

      KH2 ended then what do we get? 358/2, Re:Coded and Birth By sleep. Re:Coded's ending hints at what will happen next and we get a KH3D announcement. Birth By Sleep Final mix ends and what do we get? Birth By Sleep Volume 2 secret movie. God.Damn.

    Sometimes, after I finish a game, I go back to my Steam list and go over all the great games I've never played and should play. Then I boot up TrackMania again.

    Went to Blockbusters to rent Deathly Hollows Part Two. The Blockbuster closed three days ago. Back at home, I hit up iTunes and the rental is only a dollar. Now I don't feel so bad about Blockbuster disappearing.

    If you want good coverage of indie bands, go with Rdio. In the end, they're practically the same services, only Rdio is pretty indie-friendly. My sister's boyfriend's sister, who is currently working on a contract with Universal, has all her early, independent stuff up on there.

      were you pronouncing it "eye dee"? I know it's the word id not initials, but just cos I.D. is more common that how I always think of it before I correct myself.

      Yeah, I always read it as "eye dee" as well. Even though I realized it was wrong a few years ago, "hid software" still sounds weird to me.

    DNF is already on sale? CALLED IT. There's no way people would continue to buy that garbage for full price. It may still be a little too rich of a price for my blood, though I need to play that damn game and get it over with.

    There's only one scene that made me flash back to Office Space. It featured a fantasy scene with angry rap music in the background, which was 90% of the best scenes in Office Space.

    I think I dislike "by-the-numbers" movies more than I dislike movies that are just plain bad. I feel like choosing a Netflix movie Russian Roulette-style to wash the plain off me, but it's almost 3 in the morning.

    So, Horrible Bosses... That's a movie. Parts of it were funny. And that about sums it up. Don't know exactly what I expected, but it felt rather by-the-numbers. Which is odd, since I don't remember seeing any movie before this one where the main characters were trying to murder their bosses.

    Is it just me, or are 2-hour dinners absolutely unbearable, especially when they're with your parent's elderly clients? I can't wait until I finish college and go out into the real world as a journalist.

    Did they mention if it will be in English? I know it's rather popular to play in Japanese with English subtitles, but I prefer entirely English voice overs, and it would be nice to sample the quality of said voice overs. Yep, it'll be in English Sweet.

    I admit that I almost burst into tears during a particular scene at the end, but I also felt resentment towards the movie instead of a true moment. My thoughts were "Fuck you, movie! This is cheap as hell, and I'm still falling for it!" It happened both times I saw it.

    It's not fair when I start a download around 11:00 in the morning, and then right when it's about to finish Steam gets overflooded and my download stops. Stupid people wait their turn.
