  1. at least you now have legal recreational marijuana to take the edge off.
  2. It was stunning as you'd expect, but I think I need a wuss edition without all the death and peril.
  3. I'm playing that at the moment, enjoying it but not paying enough attention to see if there's any knack to getting different cats to leave mementos. I've never installed facebook messenger. I used to have the FB app when it had messaging built in, but it crashed all the time and was a massive install, so when they hived off messenger I just uninstalled it. Annoying thing is you used to be able to see your messages on the mobile website, but now you can't do that and have to go to the desktop version - really a faff but at this point I'm not changing my mind. Luckily I don't have enough friends that it's too much of a bother.
  4. I'd like to use it but I tried once before to get people away from whatsapp, and failed miserably so not sure I can be bothered to try again. Really wish I didn't have to use whatsapp
  5. Nintendo had a £5 voucher for halloween, plus when you get it from Nintendo direct, it comes with the stickers and keyring I'll never use. Also, I've never bought directly from them before so wanted to try that.
  6. Moon was really good, though I don't think really it gets to horror is certainly in that sort of area. Cube was good as well (though I saw it many years ago so the memories are hazy). I think you could call that sci fi horror.
  7. what's Class? I've not heard of it.
  8. I'd recommend the novel of "let the right one in" if anyone is interested in that sort of thing.
  9. how was the VR for a whole game rather than just an "experience"?
  10. It's just a deal you can use on games if you want, but anything sold by amazon if you don't. Buy a £30 gift card (which you can apply to your own account), and Amazon will apply £7 credit to your account (to be used by mid January) so you're getting the 20% more free. Link.
  11. that's the video without the 2m18s timestamp
  12. So what do you guys think of GAME charging people for a go on their demo PSVR units (£5 for 10 minutes): fair enough or cheeky bastards?
  13. Ah, that makes sense. But it better hadn't be that dear. I'm hoping £300 for the bundle version.
  14. Why'd you need them to price the Switch before you sell the Wii U? Surely the price you can get for the Wii U will only go down from this point so the sooner you sell the better
  15. Guess Link may not be the only character people complain isn't voiced soon. Most games I wouldn't care if they used a sat nav style voice synthesiser, tbh. I just want to know what I have to do next and it wouldn't be worse than half the acting jobs out there.
  16. I've been playing watch dogs on my XO. Gone a bit mad on the side missions, but still on the first act. Really struggling with the convoys though - going to leave those for now .Think it'll help the main story tha I've connected all the areas to ctOS now, so I think that at least was worth doing first. Plus it means I have most of the skill upgrades already. Enjoying the game so far, and not minding the similarity to Assassin's Creed at all. Looking forward to the sequel now. Been streaming it to my laptop with the xbox app. Mostly it's worked well (once I realised it wasn't the smartglass app you're meant to use) but has stuttered sometimes resulting in a few crashes and civillian casualties I hadn't intended. So It's been good for the side missions, but I wouldn't do it for the story ones.
  17. wii u is N, so it won't be lower than that. Maybe ac, but I don't think most people have that so if it's that much pricier to implement I don't think they'll have any qualms leaving it out.
  18. I always wanted to play Meteos, but never could find it for sale. I own Henry Hatsworth but haven't played it (yet?). I think I could never buy a game again and still have a lifetime's entertainment sat on my shelves.
  19. Wasn't the Wii U a completely different architecture though, and the Switch won't have enough power to emulate it. I think the best you can hope for is remakes that are cheaper than original games. Plus, already:
  20. Half price on Wii U, which surprisingly is supposed to be the best version.
  21. Am I being optimistic or does that make it sound more like it's based off a tegra 2 than tegra 1? Either way, It's a step up from the Wii U and I don't buy Nintendo hardware for the specs, but it would be nice to have a more efficient processor in there. @Dean: Won't the basket ball game have been EA? If they're back on board that can only be a good sign as they are the only ones that actually came across as not wanting to work with nintendo, rather than just not wanting to waste money on extra development for underpowered consoles (and low install base in case of Wii U) which I think was most developers issues. To me, I am pleased. Once the general concept was leaked, this is about as good as I could have imagined it. I like that it looked like you could just pull the console straight out of the base and carry on, rather than having to prepare it for removal (e.g. go back to home menu and "eject" it, then reload the game). It looked seamless. I wonder which bits you actually get with it. There seemed to be a base unit, a screen, a controller base that the screen attaches to, and the "pro controller". Hopefully they do something akin to the premium Wii U where you'd get the standalone controller and a game bundled in, and a cheaper version without to tempt more people. Things I'm wondering about now (apart from price) are, after reading FMW's post, I hope the region-free rumours are true,. Games linked to your account (hopefully you'll be able to play your virtual console games you've already bought (several times) on there without having to play again. And where I'll put it, my consoles go on a shelf under the TV so there will be no room there to pull the console out of the base. Also, they've called it their new home console, I wonder what that means for the 3DS and any future successors? Maybe they'll keep producing a budget portable line, download/virtual console only. Maybe it means they'll keep on the 3DS for a few more years and then that will be them done with handhelds - seems weird though if they go down to one format does that mean all future consoles from nintendo will have to be hybrid? Also, this is where the Facebook link goes from the Switch teaser on Nintendo UK's official youtube channel...
  22. There's a free Sun and Moon Special Demo version available now for download. UK. US.
  23. I bought Chase: Cold Case Investigations - Distant Memories. It's by a lot of the people from CiNG, so I'm looking forward to it. I bought is using a 20% off gold coin voucher from My Nintendo. It's the first time I've used one and it worked really well, surprisingly. Still got a lot of coins to spend and vaguely hoping for the promised physical items to return. Not holding my breath though.
