I bought Watchdogs for £15 last week, but found the complete edition for £13 today so bought that. Luckily, this is one time my procrastination has paid off, as I didn't unseal the first copy, and bought it in an IRL shop so can take it back easily enough. Only trouble is the other one is being delivered while I'm on holiday which I don't particularly like, though I'm sure it will fit through the letter box. [picture of Watch Dogs box art]

I have a nexus 5x and apparently the nougat update started rolling out 22 august. Does anyone know how long it takes until they're finished so i can prepare myself for the worst case scenario as the wait so far had been interminable. I know I can sign up for the beta programme to get it but at this point I'm hoping it can't be much longer.

Risking another banning, but I almost bought Tales of Vesperia as it's really cheap on LIVE, but it's not backwards compatible. What do you think are the chances of it becoming so, or would I just be wasting my money.

I just bought 3D Out Run on 3DS as it's half price. it''s supposed to be a good remake and my brother and I loved it when we were young. I couldn't find it from the Nintendo site search though, and had to go out to google the game's page to purchase it so that's not a great user experience. While I was there I read a notification that they're extending the life of gold coins to 12 months from 6, but the silver are staying at 6 so I got the Zelda Picross to use some of my silver coins. Hopefully spending some real money and some virtual coins will save my bacon. Fingers crossed.

Tropico 4 is free on the humble store so i now own that.

Nintendo's first proper mobile game (available first for iOS, this December - presumably Android next year). It's a sort of endless runner, free to download with in-app purchases. I'm sure it will get plenty of downloads, but it will be interesting to know if they make any money from it, and if it's a success on their terms, which I believe they stated wasn't so much to make money in its own right, but to bring more people into the Nintendo fold. Also will be interesting, come March if it has any link to the NX, either with a Mario game on the console, or if it will be available on the console itself maybe.

well, I'm underwhelmed. I thought I'd be chomping at the bit to get one once it was shown officially, and honestly I;m not sure If or when I'll be getting one at this point.

I'm currently 454,133 taps in to Abyssrium. I've stopped tapping during the Song of the Moon boost though, as it was making my finger ends tingle. I'll probably stop when I get the sun fish as those are ace.

The chip in a chip and pin card has to be physically read by the machine (I.e. Slotted in) and then you enter the PIN number. Android pay and Apple Pay work on nfc, they don't work on all chip machines (at least not in the UK) they only work on the ones that are enabled for contactless payment*, which is when you tap your credit/debit card on top of the machine without actually putting it in and also don't require you to enter you pin. I think the rfid part of that is sandwiched between the layers of the card, separate the the chip and pin chip which sits on top. These contactless payments are limited to a maximum of £30 per transaction, as anyone that finds/steals you card can use it without any security checks. Since the apple/android pay use your fingerprint to verify your identity they can be used for higher amounts but as my bank isn't signed up for that yet I haven't tried it. *most aren't compatible yet. As I get 5% cash back on any contactless payment purchase I make with my debit card I look out for them and I would say it is around half the places I go have them.

Asda have PlayStation TVs for £11 in store if you can find one in stock -i imagine they'll sell out quite quickly but may be worth having a look if you're near one

There's some quite heavy discounts on the preorders (£35 on console) so I don't think there's a lot of confidence this is the big draw it once was. How was that demo thing received? I thought it was awful but I could be in the minority

Got to the shard collecting in Wind Waker HD but can't remember how to work out the locations in game so am going to resort to an online guide which I didn't need for the GameCube version. Pretty disappointed with myself.
