I just bought 3D Out Run on 3DS as it's half price. it''s supposed to be a good remake and my brother and I loved it when we were young. I couldn't find it from the Nintendo site search though, and had to go out to google the game's page to purchase it so that's not a great user experience. While I was there I read a notification that they're extending the life of gold coins to 12 months from 6, but the silver are staying at 6 so I got the Zelda Picross to use some of my silver coins. Hopefully spending some real money and some virtual coins will save my bacon. Fingers crossed.

Tropico 4 is free on the humble store so i now own that.

I don't think we'll get a VC app until Nintendo abandon hardware.

Nintendo's first proper mobile game (available first for iOS, this December - presumably Android next year). It's a sort of endless runner, free to download with in-app purchases. I'm sure it will get plenty of downloads, but it will be interesting to know if they make any money from it, and if it's a success on their terms, which I believe they stated wasn't so much to make money in its own right, but to bring more people into the Nintendo fold. Also will be interesting, come March if it has any link to the NX, either with a Mario game on the console, or if it will be available on the console itself maybe.

well, I'm underwhelmed. I thought I'd be chomping at the bit to get one once it was shown officially, and honestly I;m not sure If or when I'll be getting one at this point.

I'm currently 454,133 taps in to Abyssrium. I've stopped tapping during the Song of the Moon boost though, as it was making my finger ends tingle. I'll probably stop when I get the sun fish as those are ace.

The chip in a chip and pin card has to be physically read by the machine (I.e. Slotted in) and then you enter the PIN number. Android pay and Apple Pay work on nfc, they don't work on all chip machines (at least not in the UK) they only work on the ones that are enabled for contactless payment*, which is when you tap your credit/debit card on top of the machine without actually putting it in and also don't require you to enter you pin. I think the rfid part of that is sandwiched between the layers of the card, separate the the chip and pin chip which sits on top. These contactless payments are limited to a maximum of £30 per transaction, as anyone that finds/steals you card can use it without any security checks. Since the apple/android pay use your fingerprint to verify your identity they can be used for higher amounts but as my bank isn't signed up for that yet I haven't tried it. *most aren't compatible yet. As I get 5% cash back on any contactless payment purchase I make with my debit card I look out for them and I would say it is around half the places I go have them.

Asda have PlayStation TVs for £11 in store if you can find one in stock -i imagine they'll sell out quite quickly but may be worth having a look if you're near one

There's some quite heavy discounts on the preorders (£35 on console) so I don't think there's a lot of confidence this is the big draw it once was. How was that demo thing received? I thought it was awful but I could be in the minority

Got to the shard collecting in Wind Waker HD but can't remember how to work out the locations in game so am going to resort to an online guide which I didn't need for the GameCube version. Pretty disappointed with myself.

I think Fargo is dragged out a bit too long each season but I still enjoyed it enough to try a third season if it appears.

I literally just bought a copy of this :^) Is revelations a full game like the other two or is it more of an add on?

I will get an NX at launch no matter what (having never regretted buying a Nintendo console yet), and had planned to buy Breath of The Wild with it (when I thought the power would be PS4-ish), but at the moment it's not clear that NX will be the best experience for the game so I'll wait to see what format to get the game on.

If it's really based on a 2 year old mobile processor, I'm disappointed that again we've got a Nintendo console that will be shunned by third party. they've effectively gone handheld only and abandoned the home console. Not sure what to think to be honest though I'll wait until i get actual facts from Nintendo. Still a day one purchase, but I may be getting breath of the wind on Wii u after all .

Last week Windows update hung after it restarted on a plain colour screen with the busy dots spinning In a circle, but no writing. It started in safe mode fine but using a restore point it just got to the same screen. I reset Windows and it worked fine but it's just updated again and I've got the exact same problem. Any ideas?

I just got to max rank for the last ever Splatfest. Reached it for the first one too, but not many/any in between so quite pleased. I think Nintendo have supported this game really well and done a great job, especially considering they've tried nothing like it before. I'm very likely to buy an nx sequel, though I'll happily continue to play this one until then.

I hope it's good for their sake, but I can't say I've ever enjoyed a sonic game so am not looking forward to it personally. The 2017 project looks more like the dumb stuff they've been up to lately but they've confirmed it for nx so I hope it's decent too. Looks less likely for that one though.

Wasn't sure about it but it was only 83p on Wii U so I'm not losing much if I don't like it.

So Nintendo's strategy to release IP on mobile to pull people to their dedicated hardware is actually working.
