  1. I've been waiting for AC Syndicate to drop below £20, while it's hovered tantalisingly close for months. I went to Sainsbury's looking to get a LIVE GOLD subscription, as they have improved their Nectar double up offer substantially, but it wasn't included in the offer. They did have the AC game though which is pretty miraculous as the selection is rubbish at my local store. and with the offer it only cost me £10 in nectar points, and no real money at all. Result!
  2. I just completed Sherlock Holmes: Crime and Punishment on XO. It was a free game with gold, which I got one month of for £1 so it didn't owe me much, but I enjoyed it quite a bit. It's a point and click, which was my favourite sort of game, but i've not played one for ages. I came to the correct conclusion for each case, and never got into the situation where you're wondering around revisiting places wondering what to do, so it was quite easy for the genre. Having said that, some of the QTEs and minigames were rock hard, needing fast reflexes and pinpoint accuracy, which didn't fit the pace of the game or the target audience i'd imagine. I'll look for similar games, or by the same developer, so i guess that's as much praise as you can give.
  3. Even if road markings are 100%, there could be snow or wet leaves obscuring markings, or wet roads and low winter sun combine to create reflections that dazzle out road markings. Rural roads often don't have edge markings to begin with, and while it's a nice idea that roads are fully maintained, that's not going to happen, and frankly that's not how I'd best like council's scant money being spent. I find it a bit troubling they're pushing forward so fast with this when such a fundamental issue is unresolved and their solution is not only impracticable, but doesn't even address the underlying problem.
  4. I think that's the first time I've heard of a demo actually achieving it's goal.
  5. If anyone's got Miitomo, add me on facebook, so I can add you on Miitomo, please! www.facebook.com/JoeAConnolly

Oh yeah. Much as I hate facebook, I often completely forget about twitter.

  6. Possibly the cutest thing in this thread.
  7. Bearing that in mind who knows how real this is It's on Reddit posted by someone who says that he works at a triple a dev . (Haven't read the rest of it yet, will add anything else interesting if I see other) who knows if it's real but it certainly sounds like a better prospect than the fake one, but then makes me wonder what will be happening with the 3ds if the controller is take awayable but not a full stand alone handheld console not sure if that makes space for a new compatible portable console. Edit. Read through most of the thread... Not sure how believable it is. Don't know why I bother with this nonsense should just try and wait until Nintendo finally say something.
  8. Where'd you end up getting it from? Hope it ends up a worthwhile purchase for you, Don't think I'll be risking a early adoption of it.
  9. Dean have you looked into bravely default? Several people have said that while it makes concessions to modern conventions, it's a return to the roots of the final fantasy series gameplay. Very much s best of both worlds rather than falling between two stools..
  10. ...I hope I never got it on PS+, I forget I have that as there's not been anything decent on it in so long.
  11. The gameplay is supposed to be pretty average but the Alaskan native theme is interesting and is interspersed with high quality specially made documentary footage and artwork and it was made with input from the native community throughout, which overall make iit a worthwhile experience.
  12. It's £350 in the UK but needs a PlayStation 4 camera for an extra £40/£50. Still not a bad price though. Wonder if using the single controller will hamper the experience over having one for each hand. Really can't decide if I'm excited about vr or not. Suppose I'll have to see what sort of games are available or if they're just a load of 'experiences'.
  13. If you load the main page with ad block enabled, is the resource usage reasonable? It may be the status updates that are a doing it? I'm always suspicious of those as they take longer to load than the rest of the page.
  14. Wasn't it always Ms dragging their feet on cross platform, eg with portal. Hopefully it will become standard as it will make people's console purchasing decisions a lot easier. Wonder if they're doing it because they're behind Sony this time so it's too their advantage to offer it now as people can buy one even if their friends have a ps4
  15. Didn't really know where to put this or if it will be of interest to anyone, but the official BBC online shop is closing down at the end of the month, until then there are substantial reductions on a lot of its goods. Some cool stuff on there. Oh and it's free delivery in the uk so if it looks like a bargain, it will still be a bargain when you check out. bbcshop.com
  16. Sorry, A new paper Mario game not Mario and Luigi, coming this year. I tend to lump the two together, as the gameplay is similar.
  17. Mario and Luigi Dream Team (Bros.) was in an Amazon lightening deal and it is supposed to be one of the good Marino RPGs which people seem to think are a bit hit or miss. Loved the reaction to the new one on Wii u which only had a thirty second clip but Seems to have been written off by the public at large. I. Thought it looked charming.
  18. Generally imported sweets are absolutely ridiculously priced and knowing nine times out of ten they'll be disappointing it's not easy to convince myself to try most of them but I really want to try a Twinkie just because they're so famous, but fully expect them to be a massive disappointment. The only one I've particularly liked is butterfingers which is annoying as there is nothing even vaguely similar in the uk to my knowledge.
  19. Of course I noticed, how dare you! I just thought it should posted twice within three posts of each other...
  20. Microsoft is closing press play, makers of max: the curse of brotherhood and have stopped production of fable legends and are discussing the closure of lionhead studios. Can't imagine it will escape the axe, at least in its current form. I'd be counting my days if Microsoft ever bought a studio I worked for it always just seems a matter of time. Xbox.com
  21. That's how I'm going to read everything in my head that Dean posts.
  22. I've not got iTunes and don't plan to. Did have a few issues with space, for some reason my tumblr app was taking up over 3gb of space, and another one a similar amount, but I sorted that a while ago. Just surprised I have quite so many problems on my iPad. It's better than android but far from the utopia they want you to believe.
  23. Apparently it isn't a spoof. I can't quite believe it.
  24. I've been reading about how the system works, but can only see information about what happens once you've voted for the delegate to send, not who can vote in the first place. Can you only vote for a delegate if you're registered for that party, or can you vote for who you want to send for both the republican and democrats?
