I mostly got it to finally have a decent version of Tetris on Steam, although regular Tetris is weirdly hidden away. You have to go in the challenge modes, pick the Tetris Marathon mode and remove the 150 lines limit in the settings. The main game modes are all battle modes versus other players or AI opponents. Haven't tried the one that mixes both games yet but so far my experience playing Puyo Puyo for the first time went a bit like this: First game: This is stupidly easy... *watches video tutorials* Second game, trying some of the advanced strategies from the tutorial: This is ridiculously hard!

Made a few QoL improvement purchases. Holy crap, how did I ever live without an SSD?! My PC used to take a solid minute to get to the Windows login, then another extra 2-3mins just to launch everything and be ready for use. Now it's down to like 20secs and rebooting takes about as long instead of the 5mins it used to. It's not exactly instantaneous but it sure as hell feels like it compared to before. That alone makes it worth every single penny. Right now I've only got Warframe installed to it but I can't wait to try something more demanding in terms of loading, like an open-world game. The little bit of extra space is nice, too. My OS used to be on a 150GB partition and it was getting a little cramped. That partition has now been reclaimed by the storage drive it rightfully belongs to. As for the chair, my old one broke a couple months back and I've been sitting on a shitty wooden chair ever since. My ass has been hating me the entire time. It cannot get here soon enough. I'm honestly more excited about it than the SSD.

Well, the ending is literally all I know about the plot of Halo 2 but that's probably a fairly apt comparison, yeah.

I liked the first Rage but it's pretty uneven. It's one of the best shooters I've ever played in terms of gunplay, I remember the way the enemies react to being shot being super satisfying. But the open-world stuff is pretty meh. I'm tempted to replay the first one now that we're finally getting a sequel but that trailer makes me think I might be better off not doing so. The trailer feels like there might be a bit of a tone shift and the long gap between the two makes me wonder how much of a direct sequel it'll actually be. The original ended on... not even a cliffhanger, more like it ended just as you thought "oooh, shit's finally about to get started!". It was basically a non-ending. So maybe I'd be better off leaving the original as a fuzzy memory and going into the sequel somewhat fresh.

Damn, I actually liked Radical Heights. It was fun and seemed to have potential. The state they released it in reeked of financial desperation, though, so this isn't exactly a surprising outcome.

Season 1 was 11 episodes and 2 and 3 were 10 each, that's why I said that. But yeah, I assume they upped the amount of eps per season here. It's still a crazy amount of episodes relative to how many already exist, though.

So, I guess Rick and Morty just got renewed for like... 7 seasons?

I know, I know. I got at least that much. It's just funnier to say "the moon got kidnapped".
-
Well, it's certainly better than trailers that give away the entire plot, so I'm not complaining here. But surely there's a better middle ground to be found other than straight up making shit up lol. People would've noticed and speculated but, I mean, that's gonna happen anyway.

Only me, I guess? FLD#1974 Not sure when I'll really start digging into it. I played the first hour or so the other night and the combat felt really tight and fun but the story was all "Traveler this and Speaker that" and then I guess the moon got kidnapped or something? I had no idea wtf anyone was talking about. It really felt like I was missing something from not having played the first one lol.

So, while watching IW I couldn't help but notice how some lines from the trailers happened in completely different context or locations and last night I realized I couldn't remember hearing Thanos' "Fun isn't something you consider when balancing the universe..." line in the actual movie. I ended up rewatching the trailers to see if I noticed anything else and uh... Talk about false advertising! I want my money back!!

I fucking love the internet sometimes.

Well, there's a game I never expected to buy. Mostly because being forced to skip an installment has a way of making me lose interest in a series completely. I also always figured that these MMO-like loot games just weren't for me but over 150 hours later I'm still completely hooked on Warframe, so I was dead wrong on that one. So, I've been curious to try out some more of them. I was more interested in The Division tbh, but Humble Monthly tends to make things a little more tempting with the secret games potentially sweetening the pot.

Finally got around to watching Black Panther last night. It was alright. Went to see Infinity War tonight. Holy. Fucking. SHIT! There were at least half a dozen times during the movie that I thought "This is the best movie ever!" Seeing all those characters interact on such a scale was just pure joy. As for the ending I have to say, though. I'm kind of insulted that they think I have any interest in watching a fucking Ant-Man movie after this lol. Like, who gives a shit about that right now?!

Falcom thread (Trails, Ys, Xanadu, etc.)

I'm aware of this one and Yakuza. What other ones were there? I'm guessing it's simply a matter of it being easier to program a soft lock rather than actually removing content and compiling a completely new build. But yeah, if you're not careful that soft lock might be a little too soft lol. -

Holy shit, so Alienware had some Disgaea 5 demo keys for Steam. Grabbed one and today I'm getting an alert that it was revoked. I'm still not 100% on what happened but the game is no longer purchasable and apparently the release date has been delayed. Lmao what the fuck is up with this company? -
I'm kind of offended that you'd waste a perfectly good bottle of whiskey on a Sonic game.

Still gonna have that NISA localization, though. At this point I'm legit hoping for a PS5 remaster, just on the off chance it might end up going to XSEED and we get a do-over. -

Welp Seems performance is somewhat improved but people are reporting a ton of weird issues. From constant crashes and (apparently?) locked internal resolution all the way to movement being limited to 8-way. They had 7 fucking months to get this sorted and they still couldn't do it. What a joke lol. It's a shame SteamSpy recently died because I would love to see just how abysmally this is selling. If there's any justice in the world, it's bombing even harder than XSEED's releases. If Falcom ever give NISA not just Trails but literally anything else, I'm gonna have a hard time justifying supporting them in the future. It'll be a sad day when I have to wait for deep discounts for Falcom games out of principle. edit: Lmao, people (including Durante) are reporting that some of these issues weren't present in previous builds (as recently as last week-end). So the question is whether they uploaded the wrong build or somehow fucked it up overnight lol. -
I left that one unfinished for the longest time because I was missing a resource for the last step. I finally completed it a few days ago and I log in pretty much every day for the daily reward and that idiot still seems to hate me. It MIGHT be because I let him bleed out a lot during missions. But in my defense, he's pretty fucking useless and gets himself killed a lot lol. The loyalty thing seems fairly easy to recover just by petting him on the ship, though. What does annoy me is how he has like... bad DNA or something and you need to keep spending credits to buy stabilizers to keep him healthy.

So, after finishing Prey I thought I'd take the time to jump back into Warframe and finally check out what this Second Dream quest is all about. It was the entire reason I started playing the game and I had been putting off playing it for like 2 months at this point. Well, I did and uh... I don't know if I'd call it "one of the best quest in all of gaming" like some people have, but in the context of Warframe itself it is pretty freaking nuts. It's not just that it's more cinematic than all the quests that came before it, it's not just the lore significance of the reveal or even the impact it has on the actual game. It's the sheer insanity of hiding this quest behind like 50 hours of gameplay. And apparently I got there pretty quickly because I often see reports of people getting to it around the 100+ hours mark. Games have a tendency to frontload their best content to hook you in right away, so this was a pretty ballsy move by Digital Extremes. So yeah, I'm playing a lot of Warframe again. At the very least, I'll give a little push to get to the next quest ASAP because it's usually mentioned alongside Second Dream.

Free week-end is live, so I gave it a try earlier tonight. Played for about an hour and had to uninstall it lol. What I played was awesome but when I saw what kind of game it is, I knew I should probably quit before really getting into it. I decided to stop buying games (except for the occasional bundle) and focus on my backlog for a while, and I already broke my rule by impulse buying Chrono Trigger a few days ago. So, the last thing I need is to tempt myself to get this one right now. It's definitely going high on my wishlist, though.
-
Isn't Ghost Recon originally stealth-oriented? Also, do you need to unlock that mission somehow or will I be able to just try it once the free week-end starts?

Xseed teasing their Marvelous slate for 2018. So, an old X360 game that looks kind of awful, Ninja Boobs and that Fate musou sequel/update(?). Not the most exciting line-up, sometimes I kinda wish they weren't owned by Marvelous. They don't exactly have the most amazing ouput. Hopefully they have a few surprises left for E3. Although after the last couple years, I'm not getting my hopes up too much. Surprised to see Senran Kagura confirmed for PC at the same time, though. They usually come months later, so I wonder if it means simultaneous release.
