Isn't the range for the Wii U's remote play terrible, though? From what I heard, you pretty much have to be in the same room or something like that?

I'm really looking forward to No Man's Sky release, by the way. Maybe I should go take screenshots of the thread before you go back and edit all the evidence away. But seriously, the Wii U hate is a bit baffling to me. I mean, I guess I can't really put myself in the shoes of early adopters. But right now it has enough games I want to play for me to consider getting one once I get a job. Especially if the NX ends up being backwards compatible, since, unlike the Wiimote, they're not selling the gamepad separately.

Personally, I'm just waiting to find out what it actually is before deciding whether I want one or not. Weird, I know!

From what I've heard, "enhanced" doesn't really apply. Apparently they built it on an older build instead of the most recent version, so they ended up reintroducing a bunch of bugs that had already been patched. Also, I'm assuming because it was originally built for Wii U, it actually sometimes looks worse than the original. When I did my replay last year, I ended up sticking with the original version. Having Missing Link included in the campaign is a nice bonus, though. Might eventually give this version a playthrough anyway, just to see how well it fits in its intended spot.

Yeah, this was never PS4 exclusive. Kojima said from the start he wanted his next game to come to PC as well.

Amazon.ca has a 20% off promo for E3 that ends tonight so I figured I might as well pre-order all this stuff now. I was really hoping to grab Dragon Quest VII but stupid Amazon still hasn't listed it.

I'm interested in Dead Rising 4 but I still need to play 2 and 3, so it's not exactly at the top of my list. Plus, RE7 has a store page on Steam but not DR4, so whether or not I ever bother with it remains to be seen. Speaking of RE7, some more info came out. A post on the Capcom Unity blog confirms it's set after RE6, so it's definitely not a reboot. And apparently they said on stream that the demo isn't part of the full game and that we should expect more traditional RE elements. It's unclear if the full game will also be first-person. Kinda weird to announce the game like this. I mean, I get it, they're going for the P.T. angle. But if the game ends up not being like this at all, I really don't see the point. If it's really coming in january, then they must've had something more representative to show. Hopefully they'll do that sooner rather than later.

Yeah, I'm hoping that'll make this one easier to get into. I tried Endless Space a couple times and it seemed really cool but it's so unlike Civ (i.e. the only 4X I ever played seriously) that the "I have no idea what the hell I'm doing" phase was much harder to get through. I should probably just fire it up one day and stick with it for a few hours and see what happens.

Wait, I just thought of something! If RE7 drops the coop aspect then I don't give a shit what it looks or feels like, it's objectively an improvement. Although I hope that them keeping with the numbering means it's not a canon reboot. I need my cheesy plot with Umbrella, Leon, Chris, Wesker, etc.

Apparently, Kojima went on Geoff Keighley's stream right after and said he doesn't have an engine yet. Apparently it was more proof of concept than anything else, so yeah, definitely no earlier than 2018, if even that. It doesn't sound like he's going to be building his own engine again, though. So there's at least that.

Man, I really hope it won't take another five fucking years for Kojima to deliver whatever the hell that was.

So when it ended I just kinda went "Wait, WHAT?!" edit: Yeah, not sure I'm feeling it. That... doesn't look like Resident Evil? I mean, why call it RE7 if it's (what looks like) a reboot? Just make a new IP. :/

It absolutely is worse than Steam. But the main problem is that we already have Steam. It's a redundant layer of DRM/account and it's not particularly good. Same goes for other shit like Rockstar Social Club. It doesn't bring anything useful to the table that Steam doesn't already provide. It benefits no one but Ubisoft/Rockstar/whoever else runs it. It's not going to keep me from playing a game I'm interested in but I sure as hell wish I didn't have to deal with it.

Give it time. Their shitty store isn't doing well, and given their history it's incredibly likely that they're only doing this to push their new OS. I wouldn't be surprised to see that initiative die down within a couple years. Also, new South Park game is confirmed to be uplay. That's a bummer. Was really hoping it would be Steamworks like the first one.

Watch_Dogs 2 gameplay demo was great. Definitely looking forward to that.

The Dragon Quest Heroes port was.. okay. Far from perfect and a bit unoptimized but overall decent. As long as Berserk isn't a step back, I'll probably bite. Pretty cool move on Bethesda's part, definitely didn't expect that from them. Especially considering the work they put in improving the visuals.

Oh also, not technically an E3 announcement but there's a Berserk musou coming PS3/PS4/PSV for Japan and PS4/PSV/Steam for the west.

Welp, there it is. Jason Schreier was right. Looks like an interesting game but I'm not sure why they didn't rename it. It's not like a Prey reboot is inherently more interesting than a new IP, which this looks to be in all but name.
