Apparently there's a day 0 patch that addresses frame rate? Not sure if just Switch version or Wii U too.....

Yeah, the Switch probably isn't worth it, but ironically, I think with this, the other HD Zelda games, Bayonetta 2, Mario Kart 8, Xenoblade, Super Mario 3D World, etc plus things like NES Remix and the Virtual Console, I'd probably finally recommend a Wii U to someone now. Too bad Nintendo pulled the chord at their first opportunity.

I've bought a few games digitally, including recently Twilight Princess (cheaper digitally without the amiibo) and it's worked out fine. Here's a secret: when I do get a Switch, I'm probably going to be 100% digital. Danger is my middle name. I'm Cowboy DANGER Poet.

Amazon in Canada, who is usually far superior when it comes to Nintendo, still doesn't have a delivery date for my copy of BOTW. My plan is to go to a store, let's call it Shbest Shbuy and buy a copy there, then when I get my Amazon copy, return it to Shbest Shbuy (Amazon copy will be cheaper than Shbest Shbuy). If I can't find a physical copy, I'll just download it digitally. The fact that you can download it digitally makes me hopeful that they won't try to Twilight Princess this and under supply it. We'll see.

Whole lotta nerd talk goin' on in here. Remember when Mordor came out and everyone was like "wow I can't wait for other devs to copy this idea into different franchises". What the hell happened to that? I want this in Ass Creed. EDIT: I was talking about the nemesis system, if that wasn't clear.

Yessir. Also just realized you can't purchase the DLC separately, so if you want to play the new dungeon, you have to buy the full seasons pass. Fucking Nintendo.

I'm watching The Affair. It's pretty good! It had this really interesting "unreliable narrator" thing going on, which isn't something I've seen explored in television too much. But holy shit, kids sound terrible. Never have kids.

Yeah I'll probably hold off. The first pack is not that interesting. The cave of trials/ordeals/whatever are always tedious.

Interesting. So if I play BotW on Wii U, when this new dungeon + story comes out in the fall, I'll still have to play that if I own a Switch at that point. It kind of sucks that hard mode and the cave of trials, which have just come with past games are being cut off for DLC. But a new dungeon is cool, I'll probably be in.
