  1. I haven't played much of Civ anything, but I do own Civ V and I will join in on this!
  2. I bought my self a new vizio 50" smart TV the E-series
  3. If anyone has a kindle fire and uses Comixology app, they will know that you cannot purchase DC comics on the app. Amazon has some agreement that they sell the DC comics through their store, meaning that Comixology doesn't actually sell those comics. Well luckily for all of us, there is a loop hole, you can buy DC comics through any other form of Comixology and look in your purchased history and download DC comics through Comixology onto their kindle fire.
  4. I think its clever. Like you said Dean, chances are that many of those people wouldn't have even considered purchasing the game as it stands. Their sales may have made no more if they didn't upload the game, but they are pretty much bringing the point that pirated games have an effect on a developer. To make things even funnier, there are people asking if they can research DRM for their games in the game, to stop the pirates. This is coming users who have a pirated copy. I've said it before, I don't care if people pirate media, it has almost no affect on me, but to claim that it doesn't effect people at all is asinine. That is their point in the pirated version of the game. Its ironic that users are upset by the piracy ruining their game when they them self are running a pirated copy. I never heard of this game or Game Dev Story, but I can tell you right now I'm now interested in both because they look fun. For $8 I'll pick this game up, and I'm doing so because this stunt made me aware of its existence.
  5. I have two castle crashers on steam to give away. PM me if you want them.

  7. Hands down, best TV commercials for any video game were the Halo 3 commercials.

Oh yeah, I loved that ODST training one too.

  8. My girlfriend loved the book, bought it for me to read, then we went and saw the midnight release. As someone who read the book I honestly disliked the film, not because the book was better, but because the movie opted to focus on the teen love more than what was present in the book and monumentally changed some pretty powerful scenes in the book. It was understandably changed to capture the "Team Jacob/Edward" audience, and the book wasn't particularly fantastically written, but there were some very deep themes in the book that could have pushed the boundary for this audience that they opted to go without.
  9. I went to that Sponge Bob Style kid's Youtube page. I can only say "Oh no"
  10. I just bought it on the PC and started to install mods. I would like to see the support for this game last a little more than 1 expansion pack DLC, 1 (well made) quest line and a house. Oh well, I got more than 150 hours in the game, so its not like I was feeling like there was anything left to desire. I just had high hopes that the Dragonborn expansion would be telling of more things to come, I would love to make a small trip to Hammerfell or High Rock.
  11. I saw Jurrassic Park in 3D this weekend. One of my all time favorite films. I loved it and as Ethan said, it seemed as if the film was made with 3D in mind. Having said that, I was hoping to see some really cheesy 3D affects thrown in, such as the T-Rex roaring out of the screen. I'm glad they didn't change the movie to put stuff like that in, but boy that would have made the 3D experience really fun.
  12. A video here at the bottom of the page http://www.pcgamer.com/2013/04/14/here-are-20-leaky-minutes-of-elder-scrolls-online-footage/ It looks like it plays like Skyrim, using a block button and clicking to attack. Overall I'm not super excited but I would love a chance to play the game with my friends.
  13. Alright Zelda fans, I've got a mission for you all. I've never truly played a Legend of Zelda game. I had seasons as a kid on my GBC but I didn't really play it all that much. I'm very interested in the classic story of the series, even though I know nothing about it. I have no Nintendo Systems aside from a working Gameboy Advanced. I am not above using an emulator. What LoZ game should I start with?
  14. As a huge Spider-man fan, that must be the reason why I liked Batman Beyond so much.
  15. I just had my good gaming buddy tell me "I don't like video games, I like experiences. If a game can deliver a good experience then I will play that." We typically play stuff like Battlefield 3, Orcs Must Die, and he champions that Indy games are by far better than all other games. He's kind of pretentious about it, and his opinion changes daily.

I always wonder how far some people classifcation of Indie/indy go. Just without a publisher? Less than 10 devs? Would the kickstarted Wasteland 2, PE, Numeria count? A game made with less than a million dollars?

    4. Faiblesse Des Sens

      Faiblesse Des Sens

Well most indie games have publishers. Self-publishing is not the norm for any independent industry. It seems to be a matter of size. Perhaps once you buy another studio you're no longer independent?

  16. When Skyrim came out I didn't have a gaming PC. Now I do. I was bored and was reading about the survival mods on the PC, broke down and re-purchased Skyrim on steam. I'm not proud of myself, but I do really enjoy Skyrim so I'm OK with the purchase.
  17. If you don't understand why someone would want to pay less for faster service, then Google Fiber isn't for you. Just because you don't need the speed, doesn't make the slower internet for more money a better deal. FDS I have a question for you specifically, for $1130 you can buy a 13 inch laptop with an i5 @2.5 gh, 4 gigs of ram and a 500gb hard drive or for $800 you can get a 15 inch laptop with an i5 @2.6 gh, 8 gigs of ram and a 720 gb hard drive, which would you buy? If your answer is the $800 laptop, then you understand why having more speed with Google Fiber for less money is good. Also, America has one of the worst broadband infrastructures when compared to like economies in the world. Google Fiber is bringing the American Broadband to a higher standard for less money, when the other broadband companies are saying "Americans don't really want better internet."
  18. People call it the savior of internet because its the fastest residential internet available at the same cost that other fiber networks are providing. Google advertises gigabit internet for $70 a month. Verizon Fios has $75 a month for 50 mbps.
  19. I got a traffic ticket today >:(. Rolling a stop sign, luckily the officer didn't double the fine due to being near a construction zone... one that I was working at! Oh well

  20. Doesn't Ron Swanson voice Axe Cop?
  21. I just finished assassin's creed revelations. The opening sequence started off very strong and it ended very strongly, although a bit strange. The main body of the game was just a chore though. I enjoyed watching Ezio grow old and seeing his story comes to an end. It's a tad strange watch a character grow from this young ambitious kid to the leader the guild. I just wish they wrapped up Ezio's ending with a scene of him on his farm with a child or something.
  22. Thats good to know. My Gpu is my weak link, so I'm a little timid when I move on to newer games (especially when I upgrade my TV to a 1080p TV). Once I make my way through Revelations, I'll pick up III, but man I feel like trying to run through mud when playing revelations. Such a shame because old Ezio really intrigues me.
  23. What are your rig's stats? I only ask because I plan on getting AC3 on my PC and I fear that my GPU may not be up to snuff (GTX 550 Ti). Everything else I have is pretty top notch.
  24. I'm trying to finish AC: Revelations before I get into AC:III, but I sure am struggling to get through it.

Yeah, the only tower defense I played was the tutorial.

I did the tutorial and then I had a tower under attack and tried to defend it. I lost, mostly because I couldnt be bothered to care.

I went with my girlfriend, she is a Disney nut. She works for the Disney Corp so we had a huge discount on everything, and free entry to the parks.
