  1. The sticks are bad until you get used to them, and don't touch the 360 controller for a long while. Mean while I think the PS3 triggers are superior for driving games, but less so for shooting.
  2. Here is this weeks match up. I'm playing my boss, I'm the Master Chefs. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
  3. I'm getting it on the PS3. Mostly because I don't plan on keeping my Xbox Live account around much longer.
  4. After reading comments on Ubisofts new "JRPG" it seems JRPG is a sub genre reserved for Japanese developers only. I think its a subgenre for a style of game. What do you all think?

Yeah, it started out because different styles developed in different parts of the world, but now I'd say a game with that style can be called part of that genre no matter where it's made.

Pretty sure had this topic before and concluded JRPG and WRPG were stupid as fuck genre names and ARPG, Turn-based RPG and such were much better terms.

There's a pretty noticeable divide in overall style, though. ARPG and Turn-based RPG would be a different tier altogether.

  5. The biggest reason I haven't bought a Vita is because I don't like Handheld gaming. I'd rather play on a TV and don't commute enough to need one on the go. I just would like to play games such as Assassins Creed: Liberation, Uncharted, and Killzone Merc. If a lack of touch input means I can't play those games, I'll hold off on buying it right now. EDIT: Why wouldn't they make a PS Vita Paid app for your PS3? I would pay $50 for an app on the PS3 to play Vita games. There must be something more to it than I'm aware of.
  6. 10 teams in my league QB: Tom Brady WR: Antonio Brown, Vincent Jackson, Julio Jones RB: Trent Richardson, Doug Martin TE: Rob Gronkowski Kicker: Matt Bryant with Chicago as my Defense
  7. I joined in on the company Fantasy Football league. I did it last year and had no idea what I was doing... I don't think thats the case this year, although auto draft seems to think that I picked the best team in my league. I'm using Yahoo sports, where as last year we used ESPN, which was kind of broken and didn't save some of my team changes and forced me to lose a few games. I'll be honest, I never really paid much attention to football in general, I understand the rules of the game because I went to every high school game (Long Beach Poly, #1 in the country when I was a freshman there), but I never kept up with it when I went to college. I may ask for some tips here, hopefully you guys may be able to help a fellow out at not losing $50
  8. This is an interesting turn of events. I always liked having to chose only one starter, made the choice that much more strategic. We'll see how it plays out.
  9. Thats good, especially since i played BC2 and BF3 on the xbox and am getting this one on the PC. I need to buy a flight stick now too.
  10. In Two weeks I get to take my first flight lesson. I'm excited!

Doing most of my ground school now. Lemme know if you have any questions, especially about ATC.

  11. Thats why I typically avoid pre-orders. The GTA series along with the Elder Scrolls series I will always pre-order. I love the special maps and shit, they really do get me off, and those tend to sell out, so I jump on the pre-order. I don't want anything that will change my experience, I don't mind getting extra weapons or items, but I don't want them to be free in game, I want them to be part of the game.
  12. Yea, and you don't have to buy them, which means I can avoid it if I want to. It just bugs me when every time I go to the gun store I'll have guns I can buy for free, seeing as I'll probably spend most of my "fucking around town" time in Multiplayer. Also, if they do add new areas to the Multiplayer, I want San Fierro to be the next update.
  13. So I was about to pre-order GTA V, and then I saw the Special Edition! I saw the map, art book, and some extra tattoos/clothes. That really jazzed me (minus the in game clothes). Then I saw that it came with a handful of weapons in the clerks inventory, ooh neat! They are free to your character... What? No... why? I HATE when a game is like "hey here are some things for free because you have the special edition" I bought the ultimate version of Burnout Paradise and that came with all the cars unlocked. I would have been mad if I spent more than 7 bucks on it, but still. I want the game to still make me work for this stuff. I don't want to automatically have the most powerful weapons available to me. I'm not sure if I'm planning on getting the Special Edition any more. I want the map and stuff but I don't want the game to be easier...
  14. I rode some public transportation after playing GTA IV and riding the subway. I blame the video game for encouraging me to ride a train to the Airport instead of driving.

      No, trains are jerks.

To be fair, 'Frisco has the best public transport.

  15. RED. I thought it was very fun action-y and clever at points. A good airplane movie.
  16. I was surprised at how the people reacted to SWTOR. It was this hype machine and the minute it was released people just went sour. After watching that the only thing I could think is that any MMO with any form of hype can potentially fail as quickly as that MMO did. Internet has made people quickly move on and quick to point out flaws. I hope this does well, but I also don't want it to be too successful and then Zenimax says "well why not make a Fallout MMO instead of Fallout 4?" "You want a new Elder Scrolls game? We have one, its ESO, and its constantly evolving, we don't plan on making VI for a long while."
  17. Problem I am finding is that I am on Dragonbrand, which is in the top 6 servers on WvW, so I think that the major portion of our population is all on WvW. I'm going to guest on your server and see how things are going.
  18. WvW does scale you to Level 80, although none of your skills are unlocked, and your armor and weapons only level up proportionately. A level 80 sword is going to beat the shit out of my level 1 mace/focus combo. My guild seems to be happy having a tanking class, and they told me to play the game the way I want to play and not worry about what everybody else says. If that I can play with people who are in it to have fun and not be too serious in the game I may actually be OK. I haven't been this hooked in an MMO in ever. My lvl 71 warrior is my highest level character I've ever had in any MMO, and this is the most consistent I've ever played an MMO. CoH may have the most overall time, but never this consistent. This is my absolute favorite MMO, but man does it feel empty in a lot of zones still, and maybe this happens in all MMOs after a year of release, the higher level zones, but not max level zones are nearly empty. GW2 though rewards you and makes it fun to go back and play low level zones.
  19. I don't think a subscription based MMO is a bad thing, its just not the best idea. The world was FLOODED with MMOs, all of which just tanked, less than 3 years ago. The market got saturated with F2P, which were bursting with WoW imitation, and then got better and better. F2P always was and always will be a Pay 2 Win thing with the really cheap MMOs. It ruined the image of F2P, because we got saturated in that as well. The problem is, how do you get players to believe that your product isn't another shovelware MMO, but not jump into the dying subscription model. So far there doesn't seem to be an answer. GW2 seems to have hit a great balance, but I think its safe to say that the B2P model GW2 is using wont work for everyone and may just end up being an anomaly for a while. My answer? $8 a month subscription. Its cheaper than WoW, but its not F2P. It may give the game the "budget" feel that ESO doesn't want, but if the game is quality people will look over it. Its the same price as a Netflix subscription and very few people scoff at that price. Just like Guild Wars 2, if ESO is a good enough game people will think of it as a great deal and a venture into a new pricing strategy rather than a budget game. Problem is, people's reactions to the beta have been very middle ground, and if its an average MMO running at less money than WoW, maybe people will actually see it as a budget MMO.
  20. I actually joined a guild late last week. I did my first guild raid with them but they wanted me to use Mumble and I couldn't get that to work. As far as my warrior goes, I'm making him more of a tank character who throws out banners for attack and defense, with a shout to remove conditions when playing in a party. When playing PvE its mostly just what ever I feel like playing as. Most people do play warrior as a glass canon with high DPS, I feel like I'm playing it wrong by not choosing to do so, but every time I join a party people always are happy that I can take the damage and support. I have a guardian that I am only using in WvW to see how far I can take a character through WvW as well as an Elementalist that I had played with a friend just to try something different. Elementalist: Guardian: Also, I don't understand why the texture of the rock and my boots are looking so badly in my Charr Warrior picture, my graphics are up all the way.
  21. I think its a stand alone Expansion.
  22. So I've been playing this game for the last 3 or 4 weeks now. I think its my stress relief because I have had a few very stressful days at work, and I come home and just explore the world (which rewards you with quests, skill points, and others). I really enjoy the game, the combat felt kind of dull in my 30 to 40 range after I unlocked all the skills, but now that I am starting to really get into grouping I started to learn how to properly play the game. Five attacks, one self heal 3 buffs, and your elite skill (which my warrior in groups uses a buff for all characters and instant revives people in the vicinity). I jumped on last night after the patch and I was moved to an over flow server for the Iron Marches, which is a first since I've been there. I was so happy to find out that I had that many people in that zone as most 40-60 zones are nearly empty. Anyhow I still need to stop the Clockwork invasion and listen to the queens speech. Here is my Charr Warrior
  23. Every time Battlefield Premium is brought up (for BF3 or BF4) people consistently say how it is ruining the gaming business. I don't understand how people think this is a subscription and not see it as a season pass!

    1. Luftwaffles

      Luftwaffles

It's basically a season pass marketed as a subscription.

  24. And I thought Edward was the nice one!
  25. I remember that episode. Even stranger was the episode ended with Henry in the tunnel. He came out in another episode but was a downer still something like that.
