If you renew your contract the iphone 5 is less than $200 for the 16 gb. Some carriers don't carry the Nexus 4 and you have to buy it from google at $349 and add it to your contract.

I was just going to really dive myself into Civ until I read what Fallen Enchantress is... at $14 it seems very tempting.

Civ V gold upgrade and Gal civ 2. I've been very good at not splurging during the steam sale. It helps that I had lost my bank card a week before and my credit card security numbers rubbed off.

So I watched that video and went to the youtube channel. I'm not sure if they are anti-theists (read anti-christian), or anti-atheists. If it is the former, then its pretty cleverly disguised, if its anti-atheist then its very poorly done. Either way, its confusing.

Every once in a while I remember something that happened that infuriates me. Such as the one time a cab drive honked at me while driving next to me for no apparent reason, when we stopped at a stop light he got out of his car made threats and proceeded to grab something out of the back of his car. I called his cab company (I already hate cab drivers) but never found out if he was reprimanded for acting dangerously.

No, I was in my lane driving next to him after we both exited a large (very large) roundabout. I was in the middle lane and he was in the left lane. We never came close and he was not intending on changing lanes at all (he turned left after a while). I never went into his lane, nor intended to. We drove next to each other for all of 40 feet before he honked at me and stopped at the red light.

I love that turn of phrase. Whenever anyone does that with me the conversation tends to go:
"Hey how's it going?"
"Sorry, I'm not sure I know you."
"Oh, my bad, I thought you were somebody else."
"I am."

What Zimmerman did was morally wrong and grossly irresponsible. During the trial though they had been able to prove that he was within his rights to do so. I don't think that the final verdict is wrong based off of the law, although I think Zimmerman was in the wrong (especially after the police told him to leave the kid alone and he refused to do so). What I don't understand though is how Zimmerman was not charged with something else, such as aggravated assault (if that is such a thing)? It was Zimmerman's choices that led to the events, how is that not a factor of some form of charge?

This might sound really pathetic, but I have no idea how to make possessed weapons STILL! I'm sure when I started I just skipped through the tutorial and now I just don't understand.

Sooo, old thread I hope its not too frowned upon to bring it back from the dead. I have been enjoying this game for a few weeks, slowly making my way through the worlds. The problem is I made it to earth, and they do this stupid thing where its all corridors (opposite of everything else this game has done) with the same 4 enemies for over a half hour. To make matters worse, they give you this gun and force you to use it, with a terrible camera, that doesn't allow you to see any enemies close to your character. These enemies dont take a lot of damage but dish out a lot, which isn't too bad if they don't get close to you, but if they come up behind you, you will be boned. There are no shops throughout this entire "dungeon" (which there haven't been before in dungeons, which isn't so bad), so you have to teleport out and back in, which brings the enemies back who rush you. Someone really phoned in this dungeon. It makes me especially disappointed when you think about how the first game did an amazing job at the post apocalyptic earth, and this just is boring, frustrating and way too long. Other than that, this game has been fantastic. There seem to be four worlds, the makers (a Norse like world), the dead city (my favorite world so far), Lostlight a beacon of hope for angels, and I assume the demon realm. I cant express how much I enjoy the combat and puzzles for this game. I love it and frankly the whole "B-movie" style game is my favorite. I like games that don't try to be amazing, that don't try to create this immersive "your aren't playing a game, you are playing an experience" style gameplay. Its a game that feels like a game and I love that about this game.

After reading two negative grown up reviews stating "if you liked the first one then you'd like this one" I feel like I was the ONLY person who liked the first Grown Ups.

Funnily enough, W&S, when I was in middle school I was one of two kids bused in from my area, so they sent the short buss to pick me and this girl up in. They were comfy.
@FDS Grown Ups was an Adam Sandler movie about how he and his friends were older men now

It's a light-hearted comedy about Adam Sandler and his closest friends being paid to screw around and have fun. Which means having a vacation and lots of pee, fart and physical pain jokes. The acting of every child is horrible. They laugh at every one of their jokes. And the women in general are there as eye-candy.

@FDS I believe that is correct. Also, I believe that the light bar is an LED its self using up the same amount of battery as the little red one on the PS3. I also want to point out that I wont be looking directly at the light bar itself so I probably wont notice. As for the light reflecting off the TV screen, I cant imagine it being any worse than the PS Move ball, which I never found to be any kind of problem.

If you got the one that looks like a revolver, I think there is an easy mod which increases its power and range.

That doesn't seem so bad then. If its pulling results from the web them I'm not against ads being thrown in there as well, as long as the adds are spat through my apps and files.

I guess I don't know what smart search is, but is this a web based search or a search on your computer or is it like Apples spotlight search that searches everything from files to apps to emails? I guess the only way I would find it acceptable is if it was a desktop online search like Google desktop or Bing Desktop, and this seems to be more like Apples Spotlight search but integrates online searches as well. This hits that gray (or grey) area in my head that I'm not sure if I'm OK with it. I guess if I'm going to get down to it, I dont mind ads on web pages or web searches, but if its something that I'm not using a web browser for, then I think I'm not OK with it.

My PS3 keeps freezing and shutting down when watching Kickass on Bluray. When its off its a blinking red light. It turns on normally and goes through data to make sure nothing was damaging. What does this mean?

yea, I've come to think its pre YLOD, I will be backing up my data and buying a new PS3. I lose my PS2 BC but the last time I played a PS2 game was ages ago.

you should see if a friend is gonna buy the ps4 and is looking to sell his old ps3. You could probably buy it cheaper than a new/used at a store.

I think 8.1's biggest accomplishment on making people adjust is the feature that the background from desktop mode to the start screen is the same, making it feel much more connected to the desktop mode.

I said to my friend, as a movie buff I will always prefer to watch a movie in the theaters. The problem is there are days where I'm just not interested in going out, or don't want to go to the theaters and deal with the crowds. For those days thats when I would pay to stream a movie. If I'm home sick, or if I am just being lazy. If I'm not willing to see the movie in theaters, chances are I won't stream it anyways and will wait until I can rent it for $1.

I saw "This is the End" and it was not only a very funny movie, and a good disaster movie, but it made me think a lot about the end of the world. If a comedy can make you think outside of the film in a context, no matter how absurd, it makes me appreciate the movie a lot more.

I have all the DVDs to do Machete order, so I intend on doing so. Episode one is the only episode I don't have on DVD, I have it on VHS and never bothered to get the DVD copy.

My problem is I keep failing before I can get laser weaponry available. I started a new game last night and so far so good. I lost a few good men and one mission, but overall I'm getting the hang of playing much much much more careful.

I recently started replaying XCOM: Enemy Unkown on classic mode. My friend and I are playing together using the same settings as me, and for some reason I keep getting fucked up the ass game after game and he isn't having the same problems as me. I don't even move all of my soldiers beyond their blue zone for my first turn and I am almost always swarmed with 9 enemies. My friend has never experienced this, but I will run into more enemies in one turn than he encounters in his entire missions. Every enemy that lands a hit on my soldiers has a critical hit of 7 or 9, instantly killing my soldiers. Every soldier that gets promoted dies in the next round with one well placed shot. I had a Floater shoot my heavy with 9 hit points and kill him in a single shot! Its frustrating. Is this what classic is supposed to be? I like the challenge and I like the idea of the likely hood of losing my characters and needing to play super safe, but this is grueling. I wouldn't question the legitimacy of the gameplay if my friend was experiencing the same thing, but hes not. His runs are much better than mine all because the game isn't bending him over. I can't even get past the second downed UFO before failing the game! I've started 5 games and all 5 games ended the same way and have been way more difficult than my friends experience.

I go to work and find that Sony's most recent update bricks PS3's with large HDDs. I hope it was pulled before my PS3 auto updated early this morning.

1) Bandwidth cap
2) Downloading everything on a game console is about convenience, having to redownload something is a total pain in the ass
3) Considering PSP/PS3/Vita all have incredibly slow download speeds, I don't see that changing on the PS4. I don't want to wait a day.

3) Download speeds are reasonable unless it's something brand new in my experience. Half the time I let it go while I work or I'm sleeping anyways.

I struggled with Revelations, and I couldn't really put my finger on why. I got through it to play 3, which I loved. Seeing as I've always loved pirates, really liked the Pirates of the Caribbean films, I'm more than stoked for Black Flag.
