    Well, I took my 160gb harddrive out of my broken PS3, so now I have a 160gb and a 40gb. I bought this enclosure for 6 bucks - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003DSEJWQ/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details

      I should probably get me one of those. I just upgraded my PS3's hdd and my 80GBs is just sitting in a box being useless.

      I bought an enclusre for £5 for my old 40GB PS3 drive. Was pretty nifty. I used it as FAT32 transfer for PS3. (since my main portable was NTFS)

      Just had a quick look on Amazon.ca and I'm hesitating between a 2.5 enclosure or a USB to IDE/SATA cable that works for both 2.5 and 3.5 drives (I have an old 80GB IDE that's also just collecting dust).

       

      The downside with the USB cable is that without any enclosure the drives are just sitting there "naked". I'm thinking I might as well get both...

    Ive never seen anyone do this, but I think its due. This forum is one of only about 5 or 6 bookmarked sites on my iPhone. While this forum doesnt have that many people, it is truly quality over quantity. I like most of you, even some people like Chew who has always been antagonist. Keep up the good work, all of you.

    You know ive been watching a lot of South Park and they point out how a lot of people confuse emo with goth. I hate that. Ive secretly always wanted to be a goth and have hair like Robert Smith.

    This seems like the appropriate place to ask this, but how douchey is it to ask for a specific gift for your birthday? My birthday is in about 3 weeks and my PS3 just broke, so ive been thinking on asking my friends for a birthday donation to help me get a new PS3. Is that cool to ask or is it a dickhead thing to do?

    You guys ever do black friday before? I havent. Is it easy to get electronics and stuff from Walmart, Best Buy, Gamestop, or Target? Those are the places that are going to have the PS3 on sale. How early do you have to be there to get something you want?

      It seems pretty quick over here. I've never been but my dad went earlier in the year. He'd had some massive nosebleeds while sleeping, then one day he had one that would not stop, so my mum ran him to the hospital. He was going to have to wait about forty minutes before it could be cauterised but managed to 'jump the queue' by virtue of having swallowed so much blood he threw up. Bet that was fun for everyone there, and I'm kinda glad I was away that weekend. =p

    Well, my PS3 is broken and I dont think Ill be able to fix it this time. Fuck my life.

      It just shut off completely. Itll turn on for a second and then turn off. No yellow light or anything. I cant even get my disc out. I think its the power supply since it shuts completely off and I have to turn it on from the back. Its not worth fixing if I have to replace a part.

      If the red light blinks when it shuts off, it's overheating. Doing a quick search, others have had this problem, and you might want to contact Sony to see whether they'd charge to fix it. Can't hurt to ask.

      That's shit, bro. Definitely call Sony, see what the sit is. Might be one of the few things they fix for free. And they may have suggestions that'll fix it anyway. Fuchi's right.

    And heres what I meant. This all takes place on the tanker. His hair is long enough to have a ponytail, then when he changes it gets shorter to resemble Liquid and he has his sleeve cut off to show Liquids arm. It just happens.

    I gotta say, the ending of MGS3 is way too long. I finished it last night and goddamn is it long. Its longer than MGS2s.

    Not in the original release of MGS3. Clicking down R3 held the camera in place, and you could move the camera around a bit with R3 itself. In MGS3: Subsistence they added the free camera. I don't even know why they did it then, but they did, and it was brilliant. Do you mean in the HD re-releases you can? Because if so, that's great. I wasn't talking about the HD releases. Definitely ups my likelihood of getting the pack if you can in MGS3. Though it'd still be nice to have 3D camera in 2 also. Such a revelation. These games are the Substance and Subsistence versions. MGS3 only has the content that came on the first disc though. Youre not missing much really anyways. And actually, MGS2 wouldnt work very well at all with a free camera. Every section in that game is small and there are walls everywhere. In MGS3 it worked wonderfully because of the wide open spaces and the different levels of ground. MGS2 only had one - the floor. And Kojima added it because it was requested by fans. Yeah, that's fair. I think MGS2 would work with free cam, but you're probably right, at times it would no doubt get a bit clunky. It'd be nice as an optional choice, at least, like MGS3. Was MGS2's singleplayer campaign any different in the Substance version? I really enjoyed the VR missions. Are they in the HD Collection, too? No, the single player from what I remember is the same as the regular version. Only bid difference is getting sunglasses during your third playthrough and the dogtags are all different. And the HD version is exactly like Substance except for the skateboarding mode. They took that out.

    Well, I honestly think it was just a "for the player" thing. You heard his voice to distinguish it. Normally id say it was a copout by Kojima so he could retcon shit, but the visuals also support his idea. When Liquid speaks through Ocelot in MGS2 all of a sudden his hair is shorter and straighter and he has one of his sleeves ripped off, then when Ocelot comes back it goes back to normal. It doesnt make sense. For a man as anal as Kojima, I doubt he would overlook such a visual change as that one without doing it purposely. Or maybe he did and he just doesnt give a fuck. MGS3 also supports the difference between Snake and the player. The entire game is in Russian(except a few lines here or there), but the player here's everyone speaking English. Also MGS4 has the whole deal with the Patriots. No one is supposed to say "Patriots" without it changing into "La-li-lu-le-lo", but as the player you can still here some of the characters saying it.

    Such as..? Mostly when it comes it Revolver Ocelot and Liquid's arm, that whole thing. And a bunch of details on the Patriots too. A lot of the "articles" on there contradict either with the game sor the database itself. Not to mention it's not updated with any Peace Walker info either.

    Seriously. Even nowadays a lot of games dont have a pause option during cutscenes. i dont know if developers are egotistical to not include it or theyre just dumb.

    Umm, MGS3 DOES have the free camera. you press R3 to use it. Also, the MGS4 database has a bunch of inconsistencies. I wouldnt rely too much on it. What the games really needed was a pause button during cutscenes.
