I have the Ultimate Edition, but I havent played any of the dlc stuff. Any of it worth it? It also seems to be that most if not all dlc missions dont carry over to the main game. Theyre not all connected like Mass Effect 2. But at the end you get stuff for the main game. So should all the dlc be done before they main game so you have all that stuff? Or afterwards? I just hate having to start a new game just for dlc each time. Unless Im getting it wrong.

I also love Vice City. The references crammed in that game are really insane. They got 1980s culture down pat. Not to mention that EVERYTHING it added over GTA3 in terms of gameplay was fully realized and useful. I cant say the same for SA. And I guess I should clarify a bit about GTA4. I have no problem with it's change of mood. I dont need to beat people up with dildos or a jetpack, but the gameplay is just really boring. Its like they took it too far with trying to differentiate itself from it's past. Plus yeah, Niko and his friends suck. I actually prefer shitty one liners than whatever the fuck that guy was about.

Is it bad that I only really replay FF7 for the music? I love the soundtrack. I even quit the game halfway through since the best music is in the first half.

I really wish there had been an option in GTA4 to break that fucking cellphone in half or throw it in the river. Ugh. Making menial shit fun in games is the exception, not the standard. Just because you do it doesnt mean its going to be fun. Maybe 5 will have you do your tax returns, or have you stand in line at the post office. If its a minigame, people will eat that shit up, right? Its fun, right? Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah....

Yeah, dlc not normally dropping in price sucks ass. PSN and XBL have sales every once in a while and PSN permanently drops some DLC every week, but its never anything I want or its something I already have. Its too random. Its not like you can just think "ill wait and itll drop in price", because it might never happen. Thats my problem with it. -

Anyone else getting Festival of Blood today? I wish it was add-on dlc instead of standalone though so I could keep all my powers and use the new powers in the core game, but it sounds like theyre going to be completely separate things. They wont meet in any way.

Yeah, thats the same reason I also never bought anything on VC. Not to mention the fact that they never even attempted to make it possible to transfer over those games to the DS. Maybe not the 64 games, but the NES and SNES games could sure as hell have been possible on the DS. I do hope some day they do get their shit together, cus they have tons of great properties available to them.

The consensus seems that be that Uncharted 3 is better than Uncharted 2, but the leap isnt as big as Uncharted 2 took over Uncharted 1.

I feel almost certain itll be under 400 dollars. I cant see ANYONE releasing a 500 dollar console nowadays, unless there are different models. But im sure a model of the PS4 will be under 400 or exactly 400.

I actually preordered it about 2 or 3 weeks ago to guarantee I was getting the PS+ discount. I also got a free dynamic theme out of it. Im liking this preorder thing on PSN, though it also sounds ridiculous.

I finally played and finished Sonic CD on my PSP. What an awesome game. Im currently going through all the Genesis Sonic games. And id also like to say that overall I think Sonic has had the way better soundtracks than Mario. At least in the 2D games. Theyre just great and weird as hell.

The engine is already incredibly different from the one in HL2. There's no need to release "a new engine" because it's already basically a new engine, just without the "2.0!!" PR addendum attached.

Shadow Broker is possibly the best dlc game addon ive ever played. Its just so well made. And long too. Project Overlord is also pretty cool. I also hate to bring back ME2, but I got a question about the karma meter. Is it possible to ALWAYS be able to pick one of the renegade/paragon paragon choices? I was filling my renegade meter during my second playthrough and I still didnt have enough renegade meter for some of the scenes that appear in the game. Is there a specific order to play these? Is it even possible to fill one completely? I wanna know how i fucked this up. I also noticed that Shepard's eyes start glowing brighter and brighter as the renegade meter goes up, but after a while that stopped. What the fucks up with that? I liked the glowy eyes....

So graphics? Yeah....that was kind of my point. I dont care if I see the same 10 cars over and over in GTA.

You guys keep saying it, but youre not explaining it. What limits? Besides graphics and loading times, what limits are there to game creation this generation? Yeah, once consoles become a lot more powerful you could theoretically make a game 20 times the size of Morrowind, but no one is going to do that. The more advanced we become the more work it is and all the publishers can do is up the price of games by maybe ten bucks, if at all. There is no incentive for them to make things better outside of graphics and load times. People havent demanded it. If anything, weve regressed. Despite what people may think, making a full on remake of FF7 would probably lose a lot of money. A game of that size with detail of FF13 or higher would take forever and cost a shit ton and theyd still have to sell it for 60 bucks. A lot more work, but not any more money.

Sorry if I am completely wrong, but it seems most game developers are comfortable with what they got when it comes to AI and the such. ive never heard a developer complain about this console's lack of power when it comes to AI. And as for interactivity? What do you mean by that? What else can we do that cant be done on this generations hardware? How can we even make things more complex that are actually beneficial and noticeable? How is this all going to improve videogames in a significant way? In a 300-400 dollar way? Everything thats wrong with games i blame on the person making them, not the console's lack of power. Maybe Im wrong and they deserve more sympathy.

Ugh. I hope its 2014 or later. I think weve plateaued. Everything just gets shinier and rounder from here on out. Its not going to change gaming in any significant way. Oh, I guess we can have 64 online players in our FPS like the PC...umm..yaaaaay. Ugh.
