Changed my preorder of the PS4 DS4 launch bundle(extra controller) to the Killzone launch bundle. Saved a bit of money since I doubt Ill want an extra controller any time soon.

Biographical films are typically cheap Oscar bait. Any decent actor can elevate themselves to award winning A listers by doing a decently written biography. Shit, Reese Witherspoon won an Oscar for being in Walk The Line. Ridiculous.

PSA: Akira on blu-ray is up for preorder on Amazon for a November 12th release. 'Bout goddamn time they rereleased it.

...but Akira has already been released on blu-ray. It was one of the first blu-rays I saw and really convinced me about the format.

RE6 plays a lot better than Revelations, but Revelations is a lot more tense and horrory. Its got the atmosphere, but not the gameplay. Revelations also still feels like a 3DS game upscaled to HD. It feels like a handheld game. Or maybe thats just me. I loved Revelations on the 3DS but I tried the hd demo on Wiiu and I really didnt care for it. On the other hand, I found RE6 to be a lot of fun. The game is way too long and shootery, but other than that its a pretty sound game. Anyways, theyre both good games, but I thought RE6 was more fun and more deep in it's game mechanics.

Wind Waker might be the first and only 3D Zelda game I enjoy. The others have been pretty big disappointments.

Id be more comfortable with a top 5 or top 10, but its only 3 and if I think about it too much Ill never nail it down, but off the top of my head - The Last of Us - just for plain out being the best overall experience in the last 10 years in gaming Dead Space 2 - didnt do anything new, but what it did it did the best, mostly being a fun tps horror game Fallout 3 - first "real" open world game I loved. If I dont count the old GTAs, cus I dont. -
FF-X/X-2 dated in Japan for 12/26. Who the fuck knows when we'll get them in the US. Seems like forever since it was announced. Assholes. They also released this nice little new render.

Beyond: Two Souls. Not much to say really, just a really really good game. It keeps getting better and better as it goes on. The graphics, voiceacting, motion capturing, soundtrack are all top notch, the dialogue is actually not as cringeworthy as I expected it to be. Its actually pretty alright. Then again, they got magnificent actors who can sell anything. The art direction is also exceptional, not jus tin videogames, but in movies. Ive seen some things in this game Ive never seen anywhere else. Sadly, the overall writing is inconsistent. A lot of the time a certain scenario will play perfectly then near the end something gets added to it that kind of fucks it all up. I suppose the writers dont know when to stop. Doesnt happen a lot, but it happens enough to notice it. And unlike Heavy Rain, the overall story doesnt seem to matter all that much, all the pieces make up a story, but the pieces are the meat of it. Anyways, its not terrible writing in any way. Im not sure why people are saying that. Anyways, if you liked Heavy Rain, then you cant go wrong with Beyond.

Im not going to lie, I bought Wind Waker because I couldnt find anything I wanted but I had a lot of credit. Plus, I feel bad for my Wii U. Ive never played it, so I hope this is the 3D Zelda for me. All the other 3D Zeldas have been utter disappointments. Paid for and preordered this. Really wanted the Wii U version, but it's 20 bucks more than the PS3 version. It's quite ridiculous. But once again I feel bad for my Wii U, so I might pay the $20 extra to get that version instead.

The difference is that the PS3 was sold at a huge loss in 2006, even at $599. Bluray was brand new back then and the PS3 was actually one of more affordable options to get a bluray player at the time. The 3DS was $250 because Nintendo are arrogant assholes. That "Nintendo premium". And Id rather have $90 in my pocket than a bunch of roms.

They keep playing the same AC4 commercial on Hulu and it looks pretty badass. Im guessing THIS is the reason the series is still so popular. Awesome commercials.

I'm not quite sure what was do terrible about 3. At most the biggest problem it has its that its more of the same. I think all the additions it added were good ones.
