    Sonic All Stars comes out tomorrow. So does Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath. Lumines is getting a price drop and Rayman Origins and LBPVita are going to be on sale. Fuck. Im definitely getting Stranger's Wrath. I have it on PS3, but Id love it on Vita. Probably get Lumines too if its under 20 bucks. And probably Rayman Origins. Fuck.

    Its not about price to the people who want it. Its about the anticipation of wanting to play the game as quickly as you possible can, 60 dollars being probably the hugest barrier to a lot of people. I personally cant wait till its on sale. I wont. I really want to play it that badly. And I dont give a fuck about the cover because chances are Ill only look at it when I bring it home, when I finish it and put the disc back in and maybe once or twice more when I replay it in a few months or even years. Its fucking stupid to complain about it. There is no gray area or room for discussion - its a fucking cover. The actual game is probably going to be amazing, or at least better than the cover. Get the fuck over it. And Im not directing this abrasive behavior at you, just anyone.

    Yes, I'm sure none of the people complaining about the terrible cover have preorders for the game or anything. I really cant imagine anyone here paying 60 bucks for a game. I figure Im the only one who does(maybe 2 or 3 times a year). Maybe you mean PC(with some kind of preorder sale or special offer or something), which to me doesnt really count. Which would probably be downloadable, with no cover. Its be a moot point.

    I agree the normal cover is awful, but its really sad how so many developers and publishers will bend over for all the whiners lately. Its unsettling. Giving entitled assholes power...this games industry is so awful sometimes. Its a fucking game cover and you probably wont buy it unless its less than full price anyways...so shut the fuck up. Most people who buy this on release day or even the first month probably arent going to give a fuck about the cover AKA the real fans who just want to play an amazing fucking game.

    Vanquish is amazing. Possibly the best third person shooter ever made. It's also cheap, I got my copy for 15 bucks a year or 2 ago.

      It has more random elements, even with items turned off. Supposedly character balance is way off but that's more noticeable by hardcore players I guess.

      I don't see how more random elements makes it more of a party game. If anything balance makes it more of a party game. I think the only thing that doesn't make it a party game is playing with people way beyond everyone else's skill level.

      Meh, it looks beautiful in 1080p and all the levels are new, so who cares if the art assets are identical? Given the nature of the game it'd be hard to change them without redesigning the characters, and they're too iconic for that now.

    Im going to start a lot of shit, but I cant help it - ME1 plays like complete crap compared to ME2 and ME3. I dont care if the world and story is more fascinating in ME1 than the sequels, it CANT be the best game in the trilogy, not when it plays like this.

      Okay everybody. Move your collective asses to the ME thread...

       

      But not before I tell you that IMO ME2 was the best. I just love the pacing in that game, and how it's broken up into small chunks (a kotaku article described it as like a TV show with self containing episodes). Which is ironic because I want huge arcs on my TV shows. It really helped in getting me to replay that game 7 times.

       

      ME3 has the best game mechanics, ME1 has the best story. ME2 is just great. ME3...

      ME3's story is a bit boring. It's a race against time, which isn't really that interesting after the first time you finished it. ME2's story is a bit self-contained.

    I also got ME1 digitally. I'm surprised it was only 15 bucks. That's very unlike EA. I might have to replay the entire trilogy now.

    People are too judgmental when it comes to box art covers. They need to use sonething this generic to sell it to the average gamer. All that matters is the game. It's a tool mostly, not an expression of art. It should be, but it's not.

    I figure if a short game is good enough to charge a regular price, it's infinitely replayable. Smb3 can be beaten in about 2 hours, but I've replayed it so much because it's so good that I've probably played it longer than fallout 3. I'd easily pay 60 bucks for that experience.
