  1. The coroner? I'm so sick of that guy!

  2. Catherine is the shorter one, but it can get very hard near the end. Hard to the point where you can get stuck. Gravity Rush is about 12-14 hours and its pretty easy for the most part. ME3 should be saved til last.
  3. Floor 98 is kind of a bitch. Giving an enemy a high tolerance for their only weakness and THEN giving them a spell that nullifies my only line of defense is kind of cheap. Oh, and also giving them a spell that more than doubles their spell power(a spell that hits every person at that)also irks me. It kind of guarantees you spend a long time dwindling down hp, then you just die when youre a handful of hp from killing them. Ugh. I need to level up some more I guess.
  4. From the looks of their mockup/prototype controller, it looks like the middle will be a touchpad, like on a laptop or the back of the Vita. It actually looks pretty sleek.

  6. http://penny-arcade.com/report/editorial-article/the-reality-of-the-ouya-console-doesnt-match-the-hype-why-you-should-be-ske Well...fuck. Here's something that says it better than I ever could have.
  7. Maybe retail is different. Then again, retail has tons of annoying people....maybe there's a connection there..
  8. Actually, I have an even bigger issue - I actually don't even believe in Kickstarter. I also think that's a fad. I used to be the type to not so easily dismiss things as fads, but the more you spend online, the more you realize how truly fickle and particular people can be. Things have become ridiculously disposable. That's probably why Im being such a dick about this in the first place. So I think Ill just move along. There's no point in arguing when I find such a big fundamental flaw. Im curious to see what happens next and even more curious once a capable person gets their hands on it. But I cant get excited about it.
  9. Ive been in a few group interviews and im almost certain being overenthusiastic and self confident will get you the job. I personally find that kind of ego driven type annoying, but employers seem to love it, no matter how fake it may be. And I also dont think they really buy it. They know you dont feel that passionate about that job, but it still shows that youll try hard to show it. I fail at interviews often because i try to be bright and positive, but im self conscious and dont want to overdo it to the point of being annoying. I try to balance it out. It turns out employers love annoying enthusiasm. Then again, im easily annoyed. It just might be my problem.
  10. Thanks FDS for the hype meaning. And I assume megaton is a reference to F3 because...well, people didn't use that word online before F3. Simple as that.
  11. Like I said earlier, I'm not trying to go out of my way to dump on your dreams. But when I saw that article, my eyes rolled so hard that if I were a cartoon character they would have popped out of my fucking head. Im all for being optimistic, but its hard to be that way in the face of such blind devotion and optimism to something that doesn't even exist(I still even doubt it ever will). Its an open platform for anyone to make a game and its good technology for a cheap price. That's about the gist of it and it does sound good. But why would games be made on it when so few will have it? Not to mention using tools to make something on iOS or even better, a pc game. What the fuck is wrong with pc games? As far as I know, you can also develop anything you want on it and you can still hook it up to your tv and play it with a controller. Its the same shit. For years pc gamers have tried to convince console gamers that hooking up your pc or laptop to your tv and a controller is EXACTLY as convenient as a console. "Well, you can sit on a couch in front of a huge hdtv with pc games too!" Now its NOT easy and its NOT convenient? Make up your fucking minds. Their tagline even points out how its so cool because its on your tv and not on your pc monitor or phone. And what about preexisting apps and games? No one is going to bother to update them to these new controls. Some already have it, but most do not. Why would you even bother if there such a small install base? No one is going to pay you to put that extra effort in. And people think phone games are cheap because most of them are. Theyre cheap and theyre hollow. I still cant believe people play Angry Birds on their fucking tv. Thats ridiculous. But I suppose that proves those dullards exist. I will also dont see this changing anything. Its just not. MS and Sony and Nintendo consoles aren't going to ever be open to modders, hackers and developers. At most and this is me being very optimistic, it will make them rethink putting such barriers when it comes to putting games up on their online store. Then again, the fucking XBL indie store has so much crap already. So I don't see that as a positive change. I need someone weeding out the shit. Im too lazy to try a million different games to find the ones I like. Gaming is only my hobby up to a certain point. I personally am not willing to work for it. This thing will survive(if it even gets made) for a few years because of people who want to develop on it for the sake of developing on it, for the novelty of it, kind of like people who make games for a TI-83 calculator. No one wants to game on that shit, but its cool to have Super Mario Bros. on it. As a novelty. Just to say it's capable of it, though cheaply. Honestly, I see this thing being a really awesome media machine. They should have thrown in a remote instead of a controller. And no, i don't want this to fail. It'll be great if I'm proven wrong. The prospect is sound, the enthusiasm for it isn't. Not exactly at this very moment. Prematurely blowing your load is not a good trait to have. Once it gets into the hands of the people, then you can begin to get excited for it as you are now. Ill be right there with you. Otherwise, this is parallel to a politician telling me theyre going to solve the economic crisis without actually doing anything. Its just them saying it. its worthless to me. Show me first.
  12. Overgeneralizing is what it's all about. Its how you gauge success and failure. More people don't want this than want it. 40,000 people donating to this thing is a drop in the bucket. The 3DS just sold like 8 million and its only been out for a year. THAT is something that matters. Remember that whole Kony thing? That made a stir too, but we wont bring it up by this time next year either. A fad is a fad. You're banking on potential. Potential goes both ways.
  13. But I'm not looking for a $100 machine at all. I have a home console, a pc/laptop, and a smartphone. I got all my bases covered. I would think most people interested in games or technology are the same. Hell, the average person has at least a pc and a phone. They dont give a shit about this thing either. It's a novelty. Its not going to change anything like people think it is. The landscape will stay the same. That's why I think it's pointless. I will say that the people who are funding this will get a kick out of it. Theyll tinker with it for a year or 2 and their hundred dollars wont be in vain. Nerds like fucking around with gimmicky shit. Thats why Kinect is so much better on pc than on the 360. But the average person wont even know it existed. Thats how little impact it will have.
  14. http://www.engadget....-ouyas-success/ I had a long written rant about how this thing is overrated and pointless, but....yeah. It's overrated and pointless. That pretty much covers it. It's a fad and we wont be speaking of it by this time next year. I'm calling it now. I try hard not to barge in and rain/shit on people's parades, but the hype is hard to ignore at this point.
  15. What the fuck does something being "hype" mean? I get if something is "hyped", but something "being" "hype?" Also, "megaton." I know what it means, but please tell me it isnt a reference to the town in Fallout 3. That's just stupid. That's like saying something is "Arkham City."
  16. Yeah, he's slow and he taunts way too much. His pattern is ridiculously obvious. The problem is that he has a ton of health and it will take you a while to dwindle it down. Its the same with Goro and that cat Goro. I think its kind of cheap.
  17. Ah good. I also haven't actually even liked an MK since MK3. Deadly Alliance was kind of ok I guess. This MK is by far the best one. Its fun, just really really hard. Like, infuriatingly hard. The difficulty isnt even balanced in any way, it just forces you to be cheap. It doesnt take skill as much as it takes patience. Good luck.
  18. There is an explanation - cus they're idiots.
  19. I think it has to do with the firmware update. I mentioned it earlier, but theyd need a firmware update just to add a new section to the store. The store works pretty well on the Vita, but it is sorely lacking in sections. Theres no discount sections(PSP only so far), no best selling section, and dlc is still in the same section with the games. They dont even have a wallpaper or avatar section. You cant even change your avatar to a premium one on the Vita either.
  20. If you can beat Story mode without reducing the difficulty, Ill give you a cookie.
  21. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-07-12-sonic-and-sega-all-stars-racing-transformed-release-date I completely forgot this was coming out. Now that i don't own any Nintendo hardware, this will help me get my Kart fix. The first one was damn good too.
  22. Man, fuck you people with your buying habits and your money to uphold those habits cus you got a good job and shit. Fuck that!

Sorry? What did you say, Strangelove? I couldn't hear you over the noises of the poor people I'm paying to fight for to the death, for my enjoyment.

  23. 3 is much better in almost every way, but I still prefer KZ2 because of how dark and Nazi-ish it was. That and Visari and Radec. Brian Cox is amazing. KZ3 has tons more variation in it's locations, enemies, and weaponry. I can't say Ive ever played anything like it in the fps genre. Oh, and Rico is likable now. They changed that. It's a good thing.
