  1. Here is the thing to remember: the saber can be harder to wield and control based on the crystals used. Barab crystals are very dangerous in a saber and hard to handle. There are some crystals that are easy to break and need to be protected. That could also be a reason for the design.
  2. I almost bought a die cast Falcon last night. But the detail wasn't good enough. Disney needs to step up that game.
  3. Happy Turkey Day to all my fellow 'Murcans! May your food poisoning from aunt Ethel's homemade mayo and pickled herring be mild.

375 for 4 hours? You know I'm done

  4. I can appreciate the lesser of two evils thing. That is also how I vote. Plus, I despise Manning The Lesser. What douchebag asks for a trade on his draft day because he doesn't want to play for 'that team'? New York is a perfect place for that dog fucker.
  5. We make them at home. My wife loves them. And, yes, it is a long-ass process. Boil and keep the boil going while adding more water every hour or so. The nuts are soft, almost like beans. It is worth it for her (not me).
  6. I think he proved himself a cockney chancer.
  7. Welcome, Jesse. We are friendly (that is what they tell me to say). Find a fun post and jump on in.
  8. Wife on phone with Medical: "So, since he brings in $1642 a month from his pension and social security, he has a co-pay of $1052? How do people even live like that." Social Services worker: "I wish I could tell you."
  9. Poor, poor, GOH!. Here I thought was a man who upheld the belief that people have the right to choose. Little did I know he was a conformist that wanted everyone else to conform to his PC ways. Democracy is now dead, comrads.
  10. It was a fun episode to follow the repeat of the freemium gaming episode.
  11. http://www.pcworld.com/article/2847341/ubisoft-pledges-fixes-for-assassins-creed-unitys-atrocious-performance-issues.html Well, it's not like we didn't hear how buggy it was going to be from the early reviews.
  12. I was wondering who would be the first to notice.
  13. Only one way to figure this out. Knife fight! Well, two ways... Hottie, take a pic in that jacket. We can then take a pole.
  14. We found the best deals were cyber deals for stock gift items for the kids, like clothes and shit. We hit Kohl's with some coupons. Their website was screwed up, so we had to call their sales people. It took about 3 hours on the phone over a couple of days to get our order placed, but we got some deep-deep discounts on everything. They not only honored their coupon codes (which their site didn't work on, due to them taking so long to help), but they gave us additional discounts for all of the problems we had. Because they did that, we also added on some clearance items, like shorts and tees for the kids at sizes for the next year. Plus, we got back Kohl's cash. I'll never forget that haul. Toys R Us had some good stuff in store. We spent ass-loads of hours at the store and had to deal with the idiot clerk and their system that didn't ring up the correct prices, but it was worth the rise in blood pressure for the money we saved.
  15. Also, as of note, LEGO Minecraft is pretty hard to get. So, if you have kids in the 6 to 10 range who love LEGO and Mincraft, that is the gift to find. The prices for them keep rising. Toys R Us lowered their price on one particular Minecraft LEGO item and it sold out very quickly.
  16. I go with friends and family to doorbusters. I don't always have the time to spend with them during the day, so midnight on the way to save some cash (or spend some, depending on your POV) is a great time to catch up. Plus, I know people who get a rush from BF shopping. I might be one of those, though I only tend to buy things I will use, not because things are a cheap price. As far as the best deals on console games, bundles are nice. For those that aren't on bundles, unfortunately, WalMart or KMart have been the best place to get them. Last year, Dishonored for $5 at WalMart. I was at Target, and they wouldn't price match, so I lost out on that deal. Still sad about that one. Avoid GS. Their prices suck ass normally. They have almost no deals that are decent (last time I went, Ni No Kuni was the only thing worth being there for, and it really wasn't that great of a deal). Target's prices weren't bad, but nothing to write home about.
  17. Metro 2033 is free right now on Humble Bundle.
  18. They mentioned it on io9 this morning that they were changing the name. I'm pretty sure the hard part is my penis. Hard for 2 minutes, then napping for 30.
  19. I saw this and got giddy. The hard part is waiting for the new season.
  20. Election day! Get out and vote for something. I'm voting we annex Canada, strictly so we can claim Toronto. I heard it's a nice city.

I'd vote for annexing Canada. In terms of population it'd be the second largest state. ;-)

From what I'm to understand you guys voted against democracy, and no to monarchy.

I think it was a vote against Obama's reign, mainly. I voted for Obama in the last 2 elections, but it was a lesser-of-2-evils situation. I had to vote for him.

  21. Cockney chancer? Does this mean arrogant a-hole?
  22. Sorry I couldn't be of more detailed help, but spoilers are a funny thing. Sean Pertwee was probably hired as more of a care taker than a butler for the series. You can tell he's going to be more involved, as he's definitely not a side character for the long run, but someone crucial to Bruce. I think Alfred's background is too vital to the character to not use in the show. Really, they are developing the characters and storylines still while little things are happening. Episode 6 really packs a good punch from all of the happenings, IMO.
