  1. http://www.isidewith.com/elections/2016-presidential/1361673083?from=VRDAR7uSH Well, I'm more liberal in the US than in the UK, but a centralist. I had voted and supported the Green Party, but have voted Democrat more in the recent years. I must be getting old and grumpy.
  2. Yeah, I just skipped the grammar school one altogether. I'm about the most left-leaning person I've ever met who doesn't actually want to overthrow the government, so yeah they're pretty left by US standards but I am too. Yeah, but we like you, anyway. I don't care what Dean says about you.
  3. Good for the UK on the good use of the morning after pill! I think I voted for immigration reform, but said something like the UK should do thorough background checks to ensure they are not allowing career criminals to enter. But, don't listen to my conservative ass, as I'm as bad as Donald Trump apparently. Can we rebuild Hadrian's Wall to keep the Normans and the Saxons out? Edit: I know why and who built Hadrian's wall, but it's not as fun as the Normans and the Saxons.
  4. I noticed there isn't one question about women's rights or the rights of minorities. Do you not have those same issues in the UK? Here are my results. I'm some kind of Hitler-esque commie apparently. http://uk.isidewith.com/results/1361327069?from=EFTABuGBa
  5. Oh, this is classic! http://falcontoys.storenvy.com/products/14248473-pop-art-frosted-han-solo I might have to get one and keep it in the pantry.
  6. Mini-fridge with your pre-order of the CE for SW:BF.
  7. Lettuce reflect on these thoughts. Wilt it kill us? No. Olive to eat another day. I don't carr/it is what it is. Now, orange you glad we had the stalk?
  8. Tres leches is a really moist cake, basically wet. It's very rich in it's density. My wife eats it more than I do.
  9. For those who want some good entertainment, come watch Fox News tonight for some racist/sexist/bullshit debate on TV. There are various drinking games out there, but there are also a ton of warnings on social media that drinking games happening during this debate could be fatal. Have fun listening to the biggest bunch of blowhards you've ever seen in one room!
  10. I picked up Adventure Time Puzzle Quest. It's a turn-based RPG-lite (in very simple terms) utilizing the Bejeweled clone scoring as it's basis. It's buggy and loses my progress at times. But, so far, it's the best Adventure Time game I've played, which kinda tells you how bad the Adventure Time games are.
  11. Right! I heard it was worse than The Net. A lot of the complaints I have been hearing have been from people going "Oh, no, not another Adam Sandler movie!". But, few people I have talked to actually watched Pixels. I'd give it a 5 or 6 out of 10. It's no where near as bad as a Disney Channel original movie, but it's not going to win any award for best gaffer or best person-holding-sound-mic either.
  12. Pixels. I was going into the theater with dread, but my son was hell bent on seeing it. So, I took him and we watched it in 3D. Much better than I expected. There were even a few scenes where I laughed quite loudly. The theater wasn't packed, so I tried to stifle my laughs, but couldn't. There are some plot holes, but every movie has them, some more glaring than others. I did stick around through the credits. I noticed something about the actors in the movie. A good portion of the cast had the last names "Sandler" and "James". A fun fact about the movie that should tell you the movie isn't going to win awards.
  13. Since I am always behind on everything, Big Hero Six. This was much better than I expected. The story was more indepth that what a popular cartoon movie usually turns out like (fuck you, Lilo and your god damn Stitch!). Good shit. I'd definitely watch again.
  14. It amazes me how neither party can pull their heads out of their asses to do some good for a change. A nuclear deal with Iran is a great start. The water bill that sits in the Senate would be a nice thing to see pass. The politics that are involved are the reason dipshits like Trump keep gaining support.
  15. I'm not saying he is incapable of creating such, but...
  16. Though I enjoyed John Wick, I thought it lacked in something. I couldn't pin one thing down other than some realism issues. But, Keanu has something I just can't resist. Worth seeing at least once, though I'll probably go back for seconds on this one. My wife fell asleep during Gone Girl and woke up with a 'hell no I ain't watchin' that piece of shit again!' attitude. It stars Ben Affleck. The 15 minutes I watched made me leave the room due to boredom. Not my cup of tea.
  17. I'd say "Happy Amazon Day!", but I have yet to find a decent wallet that is cheaper than one I could get at Marshalls.

Yeah, so far nothing has me jumping just yet. I assume after work the deals will get super hot. Fingers crossed the FX lightsabers go cheap, my wall is looking a bit empty

      Isn't Marshall's defective/didn't pass QA/QC merchandise?

  18. Is it wrong to say that the guy makes me laugh?
  19. Just look at the guy. He's probably on 6 different medications, has a trick knee that aches when it rains, and can barely do anything without his arthritis acting up. It's clearly past his 3 o'clock tea and nap session, too. Now, that little Prince George has my wife going gaga. She thinks he's the cutest kid she's ever seen. But, if he threw a tantrum because he missed a nap, I don't think any one of us would fault the little guy.
  20. I found the hammer thing hilarious! But, that's the only thing I disagree with you about. I'm more than happy with the movie. But, I'm old. My Marvel movies as a child were the 70's Spiderman movies. Even the newer Hulk movies are better than this!
  21. Any opinions on Fallout Shelter as a time waster?

I played a lot of it this weekend, I liked it. But I haven't done a lot of iOS gaming so I can't tell if it's particularly good compared to other games like it.

Luckily there's no Android version so I haven't wasted any time on it.

      deanb

Yeah, lack of Android kinda means no opinion. But I hear as far as F2P it's good (though in end it's sort of funded by FO4)

  22. Went to soccer game. Bored until second half when yellow cards started coming out. Then a red card for a bro on the bench. And then it was boring some more. I'm better off watching this at home with announcers and piped-in crowd noise.

Unless you're actually a fan of the game I don't think going to a game is that enjoyable. If you're going to get in with the 'louder' fans though, that's when it truly becomes fun. I used to spend 90 minutes chanting with half a stadium, that was fun.

how do you get a red card when you're on the bench?!

He must have said something about the ref's mom and an eggplant. Whatever it was, the walk of shame to the locker room was fun to watch.

  23. They have deductibles in the 5-digits, or out-of-pocket maximums? Cause those are two different things. No, it was the deductible. I remember that was the case because I went to the Covered California website to check and nearly had a coronary at that time. Now, when I check that same site, there have been some good changes! That maximum has changed and a few other things, such as insurance assistance. Obamacare has improved 10 fold. I'm glad they got the details more in check with what people can afford.
  24. Shit. That deductible is damn low! I know people who pay hundreds a month and then have big ass deductibles, in the low 5 digits for the most part. You got it good, Jack.
  25. I like it. Making my own Mario levels sound so badass.
