  1. Volunteering tonight to clean up after a charitable event. Going to be tired, but always worth it to help out.

  2. I can't say I know much about those shows, but I did love the show " 'Allo 'Allo ". I grew up watching that show, and man, that was the shit.
  3. I BBQ'd some up for lunch today. Had three, even though I wasn't hungry. Just that damn good! The person below me has a hairline like Theresa from Real Housewives of New Jersey.
  4. Jets-Cowboys was a great way to cap off the night.

Curse you! Jets-Cowboys was a travesty and entirely unacceptable. Why does my pet team insist on losing in the most spectacular of fashions all the time?

Hey, at least it was a good game, win or lose. I hate it when there are games, like my Chiefs losing to Buffalo while at home and with the star players all healthy. That is embarrassing.

It was a good game. I'm a Romo fan but he was the goat last night. I can't believe those last two turnovers. The Cowboys gave the game away.

  5. There is no time to game when I have NFL, Project Runway, and Jersey Shore all on TV in one night.

I assume Jersey Shore is the adrenaline rush?

Only if The Situation rams his head into the wall and knocks himself out . . . again.

      Classic The Situation.

  6. Convinced co-worker to get Gunstringer instead of Rise of Nightmares for 4 yr old by showing gameplay. Crisis averted.

Get the kid to play Zombies Ate My Neighbors and Super Ghouls n Ghosts. See how far the kid gets.

Ghouls n Ghosts?! I thought child abuse was frowned on these days!

  7. There are some editors that keep gaining my respect. And there are some that lose mine. But, judge for yourself. http://kotaku.com/58...ist-whore-skill
  8. Getting my boy his first DS for his birthday. Now I just need to torture him with educational games for a few years.

Make sure Harvest Moon is one of those games! Educational? Maybe. Awesome? Hell yeah!

  9. Ban Hammer: Gawker > Kotaku http://gawker.com/5836987/this-week-in-commenter-executions-capital-offenses
  10. We have some Kotakuites signed up, too. We just need a few more brave men (or women or other) to join for some serious head-to-head competition. X-Talk needs to represent!
  11. Welcome, Doc Suess! How have you been, health wise? Hope you are feeling better these days.
  12. War. War never changes. But you can change by joining the X Talk Fantasy Football League! (PM Yantelope for details)

  13. Yes! I only have 2 going on this year, so I feel dirty right now.
  14. That is exactly what Gawker is: an online tabloid. I love the recaps of Real Housewives and Jersey Shore. They make me laugh something fierce how they make fun of those shows/people. And the coverage of LiLo leaves me wanting more. Maybe that is it. The answer is that Kotaku, Giz, i09, are just drama queen extensions of Gawker.
  15. Oh, here go, hell come! "Britons are up in arms after teabag-maker Twinings changed its 180-year-old recipe for Early Grey tea. The new recipe added extra citrus flavor, and irate customers complain that their beloved cuppas now taste like "foul-tasting dishwater." Some are campaigning to persuade Twinings to revert to its original recipe."
  16. http://forum.pressxordie.com/index.php?showtopic=534&pid=60943&st=920entry60943 We have seen it. As much as they talk about this creating page hits, it also helps ruin the credibility and community that supports the regular posts. So, cannibalize your tribe to eat, but soon you won't have anyone left to eat.
  17. Here is a good response to that I found. http://nerdpuddle.com/my-brief-okcupid-affair-with-a-world-champion-magic-the-gathering-player-ugh-ugh-ugh/?t=%E2%80%9CMy+Brief+OkCupid+Affair+With+a+World+Champion+Magic%3A+The+Gathering+Player%E2%80%9D+UGH+UGH+UGH
  18. I don't dislike many people, so I have a hard time saying bad things about anybody (and I like Joel, my opinion being in a very small minority, it seems). But, this guy just seems like a jerk at Giz. http://gizmodo.com/5835521/this-25-tiny-thumb-pc-can-actually-run-quake-iii?comment=42255988 Jesus Diaz is an editor. This is straight trolling. I'm embarrassed for the guy who he trolled. It was rude, crude, and socially unacceptable.
  19. @Battra: Tips 1 and 2 work well in the working world, too. The best people I've seen use journals to make all of their notes in. They keep detailed records of all meetings, events, and people's names. Excellent post!
  20. I'm always fighting them Imperials.
  21. When I'm watching British shows, I have to look up certain things, like how much is a stone. I always picture large rocks on one side of the scale.
  22. VMAs had better moments than in past years. GaGa knows how to put on a show, that's for sure.

The whole time I was seeing her, I was trying to visualize her real face in there; impossible. She was so grungy, which was good.
