IMO those that said SR3 went too far over the top missed the point of the game entirely. I'll admit I didn't quite get it at first, but once I hit the segment with the exploding rickshaws, I just kind of thought "Ohhhhh, so that's what this game is about".

So, MLS started this weekend. All in all it was a pretty good weekend of soccer (the New York - Portland game shown on ESPN was in particular quite good), and there were some pretty good goals. So. You should all watch some games or something. They're good fun, and most air at reasonable times.

I still liked Foals' first album, thought the instrumentation was much much more tight (particularly the drumming on the first album was fantastic), but I think I prefer this album over Total Life Forever. Might have to give it a few more listens though.

Funny you should mention FIFA, I think it's got pretty great microtransactions. It's likely what ME3 was based off of, I'd guess.

MLS starts today!

Yeah, the international competitions are my favorite too. They just happen so rarely, so I usually find myself following multiple club teams in the meantime.

Dean: Pretty sure on the international level American Women's soccer is followed a bit more than the Men's, but that's likely only because they're a bit nicer to look at and they actually win every once and a while. I think Americans are still sort of learning how to support soccer teams, when they win and when they lose.

Okeydokey. I shall attempt to enlighten you, Malicious. For European leagues, the big ones are the Premiere League (UK), Bundesliga (Germany), and La Liga (Spain). Each of them are strong, have loads of money going in/out, and each play a little differently. BPL is pushed along by a strong lower league system and promotion/relegation resulting in dynamic seasons with different teams each time, Bundesliga has an amazing fanbase and fast, pressing style of play, and La Liga has no defense and spectacular players (Messi, Ronaldo, Xavi, Falcao, to name a few). Each have a different style and fanbase, and each year they all come together and field their top teams for the Champions League (which is how you get games like Bayern Munich vs. Chelsea last year). As far as over here there's multiple South American leagues (Brasil has the strongest), and then Liga MX (Mexican) and MLS (American/Canadian). They're not on the same level as overseas by any stretch of the imagination, but fans are passionate, games are good, and when some of them come together (CONCACAF Champions League, takes inspiration from European Champs League) it makes for some interesting intra-country games. That's all I've got, and I may have totally missed the point, but whatever. I'm most excited about MLS starting back up since supporting the BPL team I do is like pulling teeth sometimes, and I no longer have to wake up at 8AM to catch live games. Also go Germany or something I guess. Not that they're doing any more than playing friendlies right now.

The European leagues are in full swing, American MLS starts up next saturday, and the next World Cup is in a year. Good time to be a soccer fan. So, is there any others on this board? I know we had a Euro 2012 thread, but it was pretty much just me and Nexus if I remember right. Also, .
