I'd rather play a fun game. Oh come on, not this again. We all have our different ideas of fun, whether that be Dark Souls, Skyrim, I Wanna Be The Guy, XCOM, whatever. This dead horse has already been beaten plenty.

I'd go with the Nexus 7 if you're looking for a 7 inch tablet. iPad Mini might turn out decent, but I doubt it'll have the kind of hardware that the N7 has for anywhere close to the price.

I was all uppity and on my high horse because I got through the first couple missions after the tutorial without losing any men, but then suddenly one mission comes along and I lose 2 squadmates just like that. Needless to say I'll be playing a bit more cautiously next time.

Dirt Showdown. I'm a huge fan of the Dirt games, and while Showdown is really a terrible, terrible Dirt game, it's not a bad game, and that's something I was sort of surprised about. It's the best handling and best looking arcade racer I've played in a really long time, and as much as the whole Codemasters "narrator is like extra-bro DJ Atomica" schtick gets old, I still absolutely love the soundtrack, menus, and presentation. Lack of cockpit mode is a real killer though, and the game is stupid easy. I've been playing on the highest difficulty setting and leaders are spinning out in front of me and pretty much handing me the race.

Alex, does the HD remake of SA2 have split screen multiplayer? I figure there wouldn't be any internet MP, but the draw of that game was always the MP.
