Yeah, I wish rubbing the 49ers losing in the face of my dad and brother didn't factor so much into my decision.

I hate the Falcons for beating my Seahawks, but why'd they have to go lose to the 49ers, probably my least favorite team. Will definitely be rooting for Baltimore, if only to see Lewis go out in style.

I'd do it. Duke and I played a match closer to launch, and I've played with other folks. Net code issues aside, it'd alright.

Me neither, I just found that whole sequence hilarious. Open door, guy kicks you, says something dumb like "The West Coast is ours", and backflips out of the frame as wubwubwubwub starts going in the background. Definitely one of the funnier scenes in a video game in recent memory for me.

I take it that's the wubwub boss battle you're talking about? I found that fucking hilarious. Also never beat it, so that's as far as I've gotten in that game.

There's Blood Bowl, but it plays more like a sports game than an Advance Wars esque wargame.

Just don't ever play a server like that. It's somehow even worse with explosives. On that note, the lack of servers playing maps and modes I like is probably what made me sort of stop playing this game. I've put 150+ hours into it since release, but there's only so many times you can play Grand Bazaar Conquest and Canals TDM before it just starts to get boring. Although I didn't particularly enjoy Close Quarters, it's pretty sad to see that expansion completely dead so close after release, and my personal favorite (Armored Kill) seems to have gone the same direction. Really, this'll probably be the last Battlefield game I buy on launch at least. Haven't missed one yet, but I'm a little disappointing in the direction DICE (and more so the playerbase) have taken BF3. For a playerbase that I used to think valued larger maps like Karkand or Wake Island it's a little disheartening to see half the servers for BF3 being 64p 24/7 Metro fragfests.

That's the suppression trait. If you move them out of cover of course they'll hit you, it also doubles as overwatch. Basically any time they're suppressing you those guys are pinned for a turn. You can try and fire, but the one thing you don't want to do is move out of that cover, as they'll fuck you up real good with overwatch shots.

I would be more interested in GMG and Amazon's position as reputable Digital Distribution platforms if their top sellers weren't all games that activate on Steam. Not that their sales aren't fantastic, but until their items not activating on Steam start selling through the roof too I see no reason for Steam to even be concerned. I'd wager they've made just as much on this sale as they have on past sales simply because people got onto the platform with recent Amazon sales a...

People are buying the Steam games through Amazon and GMG because they're selling them much cheaper than Steam are. Which incidentally is likely an additional reason (to the "I own most games already") for folks saying this year has sucked. GMG n Amazon really flowered this year.

Digital Combat Simulator. It's that A10 button simulator the giantbomb guys like to stumble through. And yeah, as Cyber Rat said, probably the best way to do it is just to yell at me beforehand and I'll do my best to get whatever game you'd be playing installed.

Boy, from the looks of it FLD and I own way too many games. As far as stuff to play the only MP games I play regularly nowadays are ARMA and DCS, but I'm usually down for a game of Killing Floor, TF2, Left 4 Dead, Dota, Counter Strike, Battlefield, Chivalry, Starcraft, really anything. I know I've played with PXODites in most of those games before.

I beat 16 games this year. Notables include all 3 Mass Effects and both Alan Wake games (although those are short). If only I had kept track of the amount of games I got really close to the end of and never finished, though...

From last year. 1) Failure. I guess I got an AA degree at least? Still doesn't feel like enough. 2) Success. Yaaaay. 3) Failure. I've actually lost weight. Down to 6'3" and 135 now. 4) Failure, sorta. Stuck to a few games a lot more now than I did before, but still have a gigantic backlog. So I guess for this year I'll just carry over 1, 3, and 4 from last year. 1 in particular is something I'll need to do before I go insane, 3 and 4 would just be kind of nice. Also, since the relationship I was in kind of fell apart, finding someone I like and can connect with would be pretty nice.

I think the 2500K is a generation old now. I have the same CPU and love it, but there might be the 2550k (think that's what its called) that'll give you slightly better performance for about the same amount. Same socket too.
