  1. Sweet. I've spent a bit of time in SLO, so I probably won't stop by to check out the school, but if I do end up there or swing by I'll let you know. I have something kinda related to that, but waitlisting online classes fucking sucks. I mean, it's an online class, not even a hybrid or anything. What's the point of a waitlist for a class that doesn't have a seat limit and doesn't meet in a classroom?
  2. @FLD I'd be up for a few matches sometime. I'm pretty trash at the game right now, but I didn't have a whole lot of trouble with the SP minus the first few missions.
  3. Just put in CSU apps for SF State, Humboldt State (fallback if I don't get in elsewhere, but I'd rather move), and Cal Poly SLO. And unlike the CSU system, I guess I'm poor enough to get the fees waived. Score. And Malicious, if I end up going to SLO I'll totally take you up on that finding a place idea from page 1. It's not my #1 choice at the moment, but if tuition falls through for elsewhere I could definitely see myself choosing there.
  4. Humble Introversion Bundle, a few Fallout New Vegas DLCs, Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising (for bro-op and then never again), Tropico 1, 2, and 3, and preordered Saints Row 3 a few weeks ago. So far, this sale hasn't been too deadly. I'll wait for a cheaper sale on Space Marine and RAGE.
  5. So Kovach and I finished all the coop missions. And unfortunately, it looks like you totally have to replay a few to get the G3 unlocked. With all but 3 of the missions done on Easy, Normal, and Hard (have to finish hard difficulty for 3 missions) and I've got about 238,000 points, about halfway to the G3. Which is unfortunate, but with the exception of a few missions it seems fairly replayable.

I totally deserved it, and I knew it so I drew a penis all over his Africa.

I'd like to point out that I was Mexico in that game, betraying my close friend North America. But mostly Canada.

  6. I bet the guy would just say "you mad" or "haters gonna hate". And really, if this guy is really a "product of the internet" he'd know the phrase goes "for teh lolz" instead of that actual work "the", god forbid.
  7. After all we've been through with the delays and release, it better fucking be cheap.
  8. At this point I'm really just trying to see what I can get into. I'll have 60 community college units, so I will be an upper division transfer, and I think that might give me a better chance in the grand scheme of things. My only reason for going private is for scholarship and financial aid opportunities, which I hear could be better. Who knows. My standards are low after going to a community college for long enough.
  9. Silly EA, making me buy Dr. Pepper for free BF3 shit.

I want that "Friday" dog tag, but there's no Dr. Pepper in Russia.

@Maritan, I can send a code your way next time I buy some.

  10. I'm really only applying to see if I can get in and see what the price would be. I figure if I'm going to be paying 30,000 a year I might as well go private, though.
  11. @Ethan Giantbomb did a Quick Look of it. It looks like... not my cup of tea.
  12. Well, I guess I can add application fees to my list of college shit I hate. I just put in my application to UC Berkeley and UCLA and now I'm out $140. I knew it would be like that, and I get why they exist but I think $70 a pop is a little excessive, especially seeing how much I'd be paying to them if I actually got into their schools.
  13. I feel like that happened sometimes even without invisibility armor in Oblivion...
  14. Props for Pavement. Probably one of my favorite bands ever, and they really don't get enough credit. They don't get enoug credit? How many music forums do you go to? I was thinking more of when people think of 90's bands they come always seem to come up with Smashing Pumpkins, Weezer, Soundgarden, Sublime, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, with Pavement rarely mentioned. To answer the question, though, pretty much zero.

  16. Definitely hit the nail on the head here. I guess my opinion is definitely biased toward the cops on this just because of the actions where I live. The cops have been completely civil and given the protestors plenty of time with their tents before drawing the line, and the protestors have sat around, smoked weed, and become more vilified by the community each day. The pepper spray photos make me mad, and sad that that's what it's come to, but I don't think this police brutality is necessarily surprising seeing the direction the protests were going. It's just sad that all the news about Occupy Wall Street has changed from a nice, organized message to old ladies getting pepper sprayed. If a bystander was just trying to learn about the movement now, I think it might be difficult for them to actually understand the message they're trying to convey, and that's a problem. If they really want to get their ideas out now, something needs to change with their police interaction.
  17. That is a really, really good book. Had to read it for an english class a few years ago, but I recently re-read it and it was just as good the second time around.
  18. Wow, that song came out in 2004? I feel so old...
