Finished Unlimited Blade Works. I was hoping it would go more into the intro stuff to see if I could just watch FZ with my friends then make them watch this, but they expect you to be completely familiar with all the characters and what happens in the Fate arc because they diverge quickly and expect you to just go with it, with no character intros whatsoever. I'm glad I ended up watching this, though I still think the Saber x Shiro relationship of Fate is the sweetest out of that one and Tohsaka. We'll have to see once the Heaven's Feel anime comes out how that one is, since that seems to be the favorite. I'm also glad I watched this because the fights ended up being more badass but holy shit what they did to Ilya and Lancer. Lancer specifically transformed from hated character who kind of redeemed himself, to manly tears motherfucker. I still think FSN is kind of.... how to put it nicely..... crap compared to FZ. It's too stereotypical anime shonen stuff. Fate wasn't as much but that just felt like a harem with a cool plot. Unlimited Blade Works, while the fights are fucking superb, made Shiro into TOO much of a badass all of a sudden. What the fuck. That was my main issue with UBW, everything else [preferring the Saber relationship a given] was better, and I assume introductions and details weren't skipped in the VN so I can't hold it against a 1 hour 46 film vs a 3-4+ hour VN.

The more you say desu the more I expect you to say Kawaii. Either ways decided to remove the stick from my ass with FSN and I'm currently downloading the Unlimited Bladeworks movie for 2 reasons: 1. Just watched the 40+ minutes intro episode of Zero. HOLY SHIT. I don't know if it gets lost in the original FSN novel, but FZ is fucking straight up badass great quality seinen anime. Since the original FSN anime follows the Blade route I assume the other two routes are much better since they're more well loved, so I'll give UBW a try after I finish zero and eventually will watch the Heaven's Feel one. Since Sakura doesn't look as unattractive in the anime as she does in the visual novel. Plus seeing these supposed epic battles in actual animation instead of reading "ZING BANG BOOM CRASH OH MY GOD IT'S SO EPIC IT'S HARD TO DESCRIBE" while a shaking image is in the background might be good. 2. I read a somewhat spoiler of who Archer is. Never considered that by only following one path I wouldn't get the whole story derp.No wonder Archer gave such good advice to Shirou.

Yeah I've been temporarily stuck until I can find better fucking armor, but the spawn chance of a chest with armor is fucking low so I'm rage quitting till he hopefully increases the rate or something.

Started watching Black Cat. It's been 3 episodes and Sven is already the best character in the whole show. edit: maybe I was hoping too much for the show but it started out very promising like a modern Cowboy Bebop and went downhill fast. Anybody have any recommendations on anime with a father/daughter relationship? I've been eating those up since Clementine, Marceline and Ellie.

I feel like they're trying too hard to be bad to the point it's not genuine. I love the original story though.
