I'm a single player guy as well. But I wasn't much of a shooter guy until Halo came along so I'm willing to hear them out. edit: and by the it's never been attempted before I meant an MMO-esque shooter. But thinking about it there was one that failed (can't remember its name) and another one that was never released (was supposed to come out from some korean studio for 360).

Everytme a developer adds a push-to-talk button they tend to add an option to remove it somewhere and most do. People don't want yet another button to push. I get your desire to not have to deal with the stupid shit but options to lower those exist. Mute and lowering the volume being two. Sony has the upperhand right now over MS. All they need to do right now to absolutely obliterate them [at least for me] is to NOT announce a Used-game preventing mechanism and to not have some mechanism in it to fuck with gamers.

Either ways I'm fucking excited. This is my last year with xbox live before I cancel all relationships with MS and their money grubbing hands. Might as well go out with a bang.

Maybe. But if it had been me I would have gone with the guys who make Borderlands over the guys who are notorious for issues with deadlines and bugs. Though Obsidian would have at least made a cool RPG hybrid. Either ways Gearbox won't come out shining from this yeah. If that new game that used to be a Brothers In Arms ends up being disappointing they'll basically only have Borderlands as their shining beacon.

Correct me if I'm wrong but they had little to no input on that. They basically finished the code hat 3D Realms had already made. I can't blame them for respecting the wishes of the original makers.

Honestly I see this and think to myself "even if Gearbox had a huge part of this, it is ONE bad game. Once they make two, then I'll be worried"

I'm gonna play around with the new controller but if I can't get used to it or as comfortable with it as I am with the 360's then I'll probably get one of those custom controllers

If it's anywhere near in size the 360 controller I'm so fucking game. I'd like an angle to view if they fixed the awkward triggers.

Nothing like working on stuff with classical music playing in the background via last.fm. I can't concentrate fully with tv white noise and other music is too distracting.

I understand that Geralt and Yenn are like fated for each other due to that curse but I feel cheapened out. It's not that I don't like Yenn, but I always liked Triss better.

So I'm gonna be forced to go for Yenn? That's fucking nice. Nevermind that those who haven't read the books will feel ESPECIALLY wtf'ed as they don't really know Yenn and the main romantic interest has been Triss for the past two games. I'm gonna watch the video later but I'm hoping this means that throughout the story you two are doing your own thing and meet time to time and not a "oh she left somewhere else, you won't see her at all throughout this game"

This is a serious question, what the fuck happened with Microsoft? Is leadership so fucked up that all of their strategies/moves fo the xbox brand are entirely their fault? Or are people seriously so uncaring about a console that gets no big exclusives outside of Halo and Forza that they'll continue to get shafted by MS?

The problem is that MS isn't customer oriented. What does the customer want, or what can you convince the customer they want? From a marketing perspective, they are lacking focus (not doomed to fail, but falling way short of what they can potentially achieve). I love my OG Xbox, and am kinda 'meh' on my 360, so I'm probably not going to buy the new version and stick with Sony for this gen.

It isn't from Rocksteady AND it no longer has the guy that wrote the premise of the other two titles. And if it's a retro Batman game that introduces the Joker again I'm going to scream. People have such a hard-on for the Joker it's ridiculous. Yes he's fantastic but there are a million other Batman villains, give them a freaking chance
