Guys I need serious help. I talked with my doctor yesterday and I'm afraid I have Persona 4-Obsessive Disorder. It is described as playing this damn game until 6 am and waking up with hopes of playing it more.

The cure is to pursue both the single mother and what's-his-name Konishi social links. Then you won't feel the urge to play the game so much any more. Stay away from Rise, Kanji, and the family at home. Those links will lead you further into the darkness of your addiction.

Is it weird that I'm currently sitting at almost 70 hours clocked in and I still am right after Rise's dungeon?

Yeah it started out as the best of the best for consoles in the xbox, and honestly mantained its quality and position as the most user friendly and versatile online system in this gen. But Sony released Plus and it's just a better deal. While PSN isn't nearly as friendly or as sexy as xbox live as a whole it's free. It's like if somebody told you that you can have a gourmet burger once a month for 8 bucks, or pay 8 bucks a month for chances at getting free sandwiches/burgers/fries whenever you wanted during each month. The gourmet burger will be better quality wise but as a deal/quantity the second is better. Dean hit the nail on the head here: Microsoft has been moving towards a trend of making the xbox a set-top multimedia box over a gaming machine exclusively. Not to say gaming won't be the main focus but they've put most of their resources in acquiring online deals first and to get video streaming apps/etc. Also trying to get cable companies to sell the 360 instead of a cable box. I can't remember the last time they put money into a big studio to produce a good respectable exclusive. They see us as wallets that talk. Not to say that Sony and the rest don't, but at least they're more subtle about it. MS wants you to pay for gold for shit other services do for free and for the most part better (such as netflix), No thanks I'm done. Heh. Funny enough I'm leaving MS when I'm the closest to having the money to not care about these relatively small expenses.

Started on Persona 4 Golden (borrowed friend's Vita he never uses). This is my first Persona game and according to him it is arguably the best one so it should be as good of an experience with the game as any. So far I like the combination of dating sim-ish aspects (spending time w/ people, studying, sports, etc) with the rpg mechanics. -
Anonymous source towards a site that tends to be reliable, take it as you will but this isn't the first time the rumor surfaces and unless the trend breaks EVERY major rumor dealing with Microsoft has been true.

I think this is the main reason I haven't watched MIB3. If after many years the best they can do is "slightly better than the second but nothing I need to watch twice" then I don't wanna give them my money

Yeah if you HAVE to read something read the Last Wish. Like I said earlier the main incentive of reading the novel series is to see the relationship of Geralt, Yess, Trish and Ciri and how it evolves.

Aren't these early screens supposed to be in a semi-Witcher 2 engine anyways? I mean one more year for polishing should do wonders. What sucks is that it'll be like Bioshock Infinite where I'm really hyped for it but I have to wait like a whole year for it. The brightside is that Bioshock Infinite is here in like a month

first game starts out with you in a coma and all characters, aside of going "Oh my god Geralt! Remember me??" will be fully introduced Plus really anything that happened in the novels outside of Triss, Ciri and Yennefer is unimportant to the games. They may mention old characters from the novels and basically all the friends of Geralt are friends of his but any backstory you need they'll tell you. I would still recommend reading them just to get to know Geralt, Triss and the universe better.

She's mentioned in the game as a story one of the bartenders/npcs can tell you. I think in the Witcher 2 she mightve been mentioned a bit more.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the Last Novel is only a collection of short stories, not a novel. Blood of Elves is part 1 of a book series of about 5 novels.

yeah their personalities clash too much. As to the gameplay I'm excited. I mean I can't fucking get into Skyrim anymore due to the combat but mix this game's with open world and I'm so game. Also it appears they removed mutagens from the alchemy tree but not like it matters. If this is anything like the second game one of the most OP builds is alchemy/swordmanship

How old is Ciri? From speculation she was born in 1251 and the massacre occurred in 1268. Take into account a couple of years passing between the first and second novel, and maybe a couple more passing during the second game all the way till the third and she could maybe be in her mid 20's. I personally wouldn't want her to try and go for Geralt if she's in the game though as I always saw their relationship as father/daughter mentor/student.
