  1. Without a doubt. I really appreciate the way the text will float around the characters head when i've got a choice to make. I'm still struggling with the combination ones though. They come at me too quickly and my puny brain can't process the information in time. Climbing up that mud slide in the first chapter as the detective was a nightmare.
  2. Thats a real shame. ZombiU was one of my games of last year. I put about 20 hours into that game over a 3 day period and loved every minute of it. I wonder; had it been on a different system (with maybe a Vita or a Tablet in place of a controller *I'm not sure how that would work*) would it have sold better?
  3. I started Heavy Rain this afternoon, and after initially struggling to get past the sometimes awkward controls its finally got its hooks into me. I'm not sure on the QTE's as of yet. I'm not a massive fan of them, but seeing as the game is basically built around them, i suppose i should deal with it. Also i'm still playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf; although i've not put nearly as much time into that game in the last week as i would like.
  4. The Witcher 2 Second play through, this time on PC. Decided to go down a different path with my story (after siding with Iorvirth) in my first play through. And whilst i enjoyed that story line more, this still had its moments. Now my canon is all messed up. I guess i'll be going with the events in this version of the game. Any idea if The Witcher 3 will carry over any information from saves?
  5. Picked up the entire Half Life set off Steam. I blame Dean.
  6. So i just watched Spawn for the first time. Anyone else seen it?

The Movie. Martin Sheen is in it for some strange reason.

I love the movie...for the same reason I love the SMB movie, the SF movies, and the MK movies: Nostalgia.

Don't waste your time with the movie. Here. Watch this. Follow up with finding the entire series. You'll be glad you did. www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NjhkwpFBbo

  7. Giant Robots, Giant Monsters, Idres Elba. This should pretty much be the pinacle of the hollywood blockbuster no?
  8. I think i prefer 'Olympus Has Fallen' as a film title. I saw Despicable Me 2 yesterday. Its a bit of a fall off from the original; which i loved.
  9. I say give them a read. Obviously you run the risk of 'it going nowhere', but the ride is worth it. Especially books 1-3.
  10. Anyone got any experience with VGBoxArt.com?

In what capacity? I've looked at it before.

I'm tempted to print one of their designs out.

  11. I've got the Early Bird rule going, so i'm not sure how well this will translate; but i found Isabelle asleep at her desk when i walked in 'to work' this morning. It was probably about half 7 (7:30) at the time. So if its a pure time thing, i'd imagine it's still possible for you with the Night Own rule in place.
  12. Thanks for the heads-up. Tried your method out, and after filling my box i sold it all off for over 200k. I used half of it to pay off my 300k Bell house loan, and the rest to complete my towns second bridge.
  13. I fear i've made a huge mistake in splashing out nearly 300,000 bells to get a 2nd floor in my nearly empty home. For a start, it's going to take me like 2 weeks to pay that loan back, and frankly the 2nd tier isn't really large enough to warrant that price tag. Fuck you Tom Nook; and your kids.
  14. Are you using the combat mod or are you already too far into the game to start easing it? I looked at the combat mod released last week, but i've been hearing they're having some compatibly issues with the Steam version of the game; so i continued on without it.
  15. Not bad, just a little boring at times. I think that might be more a problem with Superman as a superhero than Man of Steel though. Although i still argue some of those scenes go on for a little too long. How many times can you watch 2 almost indestructible men fly through buildings before it becomes tedious?
  16. Despite not loving Man of Steel; i think the OST is fantastic.

Though I'm pretty sure several of the tracks are the same.

They certainly re-use certain bits (themes? I'm not very good with music terminology), but thats fine as i love them.

Motifs/leitmotifs would be the word. Also, yeah, I agree. Great theme, though nothing can top X-Men First Class'.

  17. World War Z. After hearing about the films troubles for the last year or so, i went in expecting the worst. However, it was actually quite good. Unlike Man of Steel the week before, i was gripped throughout. The action was tense and to my mind, well shot. The story was okay and it didn't overstay its welcome (unlike Man of Steel). The only problem i had with the film was the lack of blood. For a film featuring millions of undead zombies trying to eat your innards, i'd have expected a bit more blood. All in all, a pretty enjoyable summer 'blockbuster'.
  18. I picked up a copy of The Witcher 2 on PC, so i'm currently replaying that after initially completing it on my 360 in 2012. Its a beautiful looking game, and the combat feels so much more natural than that of The Witcher (which i played over the last month or two of last year). Dat Kayran.
  19. Congratulations to the Blackhawks. I really thought Boston had them beat after game 3. Unfortunately for myself, some of the drama was lost as i was playing Animal Crossing when Bickel scored to tie it up. I guess i'd already accepted it was going to 7.
  20. I'm always seeing discounted PS+ Cards online. If you shop around i'm sure you could get it for cheaper than whatever Sony is asking for it outright. There's a slightly different selection of games coming to the EU (Gravity Rush and Uncharted: GA, Chronovualt? and Mutant Blobs Attack), but i'm still very much excited to get on board with this. It's just a shame Wipeout won't be available.
  21. If it wasn't for the impracticality of having to carry it around in my pocket, i'd be sold on the idea. The idea is sound, it looks great and from what i gather its an all around brilliant device. Its size is its biggest weakness and its biggest strength.
  22. Most probably got my wires crossed. I vaguely remember Thisismynext/Engadget mentioning something about the Vita running some form of Android.
  23. Isn't the Vita built off of Android?
  24. Skyfall - I'm not usually a bond guy. I tend to find them fairly by-the-numbers action flicks, but Skyfall really did knock my socks off. Daniel Craig is my favourite bond. I love the grit, and subtle (and not so) subtle references to previous films. All in all, a highly enjoyable film.
  25. Any of you guy's had a chance to play it yet? The early reviews seem to be fairly decent, but they've certainly not been overwhelming.
