  1. Jim Sterling says this: "I am incredibly grateful to Xenoblade Chronicles, for it has rekindled my love for console JRPGs, a love that had been systematically throttled by the likes of Square Enix and tri-Ace for the past few years." If someone else who hated FFXIII as much as I did loves Xenoblade then that makes me feel good.
  2. Sakagachi knows how to tell a story. Something Squenix knows nothing about.
  3. http://www.develop-online.net/news/40425/Nintendo-Wii-U-is-about-fun-not-system-specs This kind of marketing speak is pretty much proof that the WiiU hardware sucks.
  4. Ben "Yahtzee" Crenshaw was right, Resistance 3 is Half-Life 2

Where you go looking for the Pastor who is lost in the abandoned part of the town. It's dark and you get attacked by headcrab like things and creepers.

  5. Supposedly the initial run is going to be pretty limited so I just went ahead and preordered it. I'm a sucker for Mistwalker games.
  6. Yeah, it's perfect for the music bracket because you can actually post the youtube videos along with it.
  7. Yep, it's from Encino Man.
  8. Well, for the record Xenoblade is getting amazing reviews. That's what makes me want to play it more than anything. I do feel a bit burned out on Zelda at long last. I can honestly say I would not buy the Wii U for Zelda. Truthfully I didn't buy the Wii for Zelda either. I bought it because a friend sold it to me for $100 and my wife wanted one.
  9. The reviews for the somewhat highly anticipated Star Wars Kinect are not good. I'm wondering if we can finally declare Kinect a failure as device even if it did sell well. Thoughts? Disclaimer, I haven't played anything on the kinect since Dance Central.

BoA is hated for the bailout, screwing people over, etc. They are legitimately an evil company. EA is just a greedy publisher. BoA actually ruins lives and the economy.

I don't understand why people do their individual banking with BoA either.

If we're speaking relatively, I'm hard pressed to find any other gaming company that's worse than EA at the moment. However, when looking at every other company on that tournament, it's obvious EA isn't the worst. Like FDS says, BoA outright ruined people's lives.

  10. Everyone bought the Wii after playing "Wii bowling" for 15 minutes and then they took it home, played it for a few months and now it collects dust. I don't think that "OMG a tablet!" is going to be as effective as "OMG, it's like real bowling!" was. There was a bit of a party game mentality to the original Wii, I don't see that happening with WiiU.
  11. Terminator 3 is probably the worst retcon ever.

Terminator Salvation was pretty bad too. So was that crappy tv series. They really needed to stop with T2.

  12. Seriously, why aren't there any Virtual Boy games on 3DS? At least bring out Wario Land. That was a great game.
  13. Gamespot says this: "If you really want the extras, most notably the numerous DLC courses that the game constantly teases you with, you pretty much have to pay for them. The same goes for the golf bag pins that provide you with various buffs during rounds. You get the first pack free, and can theoretically earn the rest of them with lots of time on the links, but it's hard to imagine finding the time to do so without quitting your job, leaving school, freeing your dog on the street to fend for himself, and so forth"
  14. Apparently an automatic transmission adds about $1,000 to the car but manuals just don't sell in America anymore so pretty much everything comes with an automatic these days aside from sports cars because as Ethan said true sports car drivers use a manual. A vast majority of cars come with automatic locks and windows these days too. Some new cars have been coming with paddle shifters these days though. I know the Chevrolet Corvette had that option.
  15. In China they have countdown timers on all their lights so you know exactly when they're going to change. Vin Diesel would approve.
  16. http://www.destructo...13-225078.phtml "Tiburon had the audacity to integrate DLC courses into the career regardless of whether you have access to them, so you’ll occasionally come upon an event that you can’t initially play because you haven’t unlocked or purchased the course at which it’s taking place. (Thankfully, you can at least change the venue to an available course.)" It's stuff like this which makes you feel like you don't have a complete game. It makes you feel like there are gaping holes for a game which you just paid $60 for. "what’s particularly grating is that PGA Tour 13 goes out of its way to remind you at every turn that you’re missing out on content, like by leaving downloadable courses in the course select menu as grayed-out options."
  17. Probably to attract the nearest sim?
  18. manuals suck if you commute and get stuck in rush hour.
  19. Is this based on a study or something? That is interesting. I've never learned to drive a stick because almost every car is an automatic these days.

    Apple

I agree that 20 years is far too long also.

    Apple

Hmmmm... http://www.dailytech...rticle24362.htm So how is it the patent lasts until 2028? I thought these things expired after 10 years? Also, I'm curious how it's such a broad patent because I thought patents had to be somewhat specific. Still, if Apple did truly have a legitimate patent on multi-touch that sucks for everyone who isn't apple. Buy stock in apple now?
