  1. Well, it's because in the days of BF 1942: Desert Combat the keyboard was way better and it was the only way to fly a helicopter so I'm still very used to it. Back then if you used the mouse on a plane you had to pick it up all the time. I'll try to play it again with the mouse and see how I do.
  2. Did Chew ever bother to actually make the bracket?
  3. Ugh, I played some more last night and was even more frustrated by the jets. There was one guy who was like 19-0 and impossible to shoot down in a jet. He'd be on your tail in 2 seconds every time no matter what you did, it was a bit baffling really. He said 300 is the optimum turning speed though. I'm starting to wonder if using a mouse makes you turn faster, I've been using the keyboard for the jets because that's how I learned back in the BF1942 days.
  4. Any ideas for the next bracket people? Favorite game character? Worst game company? Best Villain?
  5. Arg! Not this again. Majora's Mask wasn't even a complete game which is why it was originally branded as Gaiden or side story. I seriously think you MM fans are trolling the rest of the Zelda community.
  6. Oh, Kingdom Hearts is named "Dream Drop Distance" because it's 3D. I get it.. Seriously though, are the people who name these games smoking something?

Square puts a lot of thought into their names, Dissidia Duodecim is a great example. Unfortunately they don't always make sense to the average consumer.

Perhaps a little too much thought? How long would it take to explain to someone why a game is called Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Sequence?

  7. For the record I loved OOT and I can see why people think it's the best game ever.
  8. Borderlands had a little of a mad max feel. It did have zombies though. I agree, Zombies have invaded everything now even games where it makes very little sense (Red Dead Redemption). I'd like to see some more post-apocalyptic games without the zombies.
  9. Yeah, you're right. It seems like everyone appreciates and enjoys Mario. Maybe that's why it deserves to win?
  10. okay gents, we're down to the final four.. Cast your votes! It's going to be Mario vs. Zelda in the finals...
  11. I support Top Gear's effort. Just make all the parties race each other.
  12. Ha! Normally I wouldn't talk to a kid but I was waiting for my wife while she was in the restroom. I also had my 2 year old with me and she was kind of playing with the kid. I think he was waiting for his parent in the restroom too.
  13. Dangit, I sit down to play some BF3 and 1.5GB update.
  14. Yep, totally didn't break the balance or make the game even easier at all. Honestly I remember liking the combat in the original simply because it put a lot of focus on each swing of the blade. I know it came down to a lot of countering but I liked that in a way. Now it seems Ezio got so many tools you could just shoot everyone to death and it took a little bit of the suspense out of the combat.
  15. This is probably the best place to post this. I saw a little kid at walmart playing pokemon on a gameboy color. I asked him if it was pokemon yellow. He looked shocked "how did you know!?" "it's pokemon and it's a yellow cart" "how do you know about pokemon!?" He seemed shocked that an old man like me knew about Pokemon. It was hilarious. I told him I had Pokemon Red when it first came out and he said "that was before I was born!". That made me feel a bit old. On a separate occasion I was wearing a Pokemon shirt at Target and overheard "Mommy mommy, that man was wearing pokemon!".
  16. Thanks for the link Dean. Your keyboard is all kinds of crazy.
  17. So do your keyboards over there come with the £ symbol above the number 4 on your keyboards or do you have to paste it out of the character map every time?
  18. Yes' it's quite nuts what an authentic "on-field" style jersey costs. I think it's mostly inflated because all you have to do is get it signed and it sells for about the same. The replica jerseys don't have the patches on the arms and are made out of a cheeper material and sell for about $100 but I've seen them as cheap as $75. That still seems quite expensive to me. To wear to the game of course. Playing dress up is fun! For the record, a lot of people just get the t-shirt that looks like the jersey but those are still $30 which is pretty costly for a T-shirt. MLB gear is the most expensive gear of all for some reason. Much more expensive even than NFL stuff.
  19. 2010 had 4 originals if you include Tangled which I would. 2009 had 3 originals. 2008 had 3 2007 had 0 2006 had 4 2005 had 3 2004 had 2 Seems kind of flat. Not really a trend. 2000 had 7 if I'm counting right. 1999 had 5 1998 had 8 originals. Clearly he's cherry picking the years.
  20. I think she's got that crazy Jack Nicholas in the Shining look.
  21. To be fair, even 1991 only had had one "original" too so if hollywood lost its way it was quite some time ago. A statistical analysis would be nice.
  22. I bought this through amazon. It's $330 on MLB.com but an amazon seller had it for $50. I'm skeptical that I'll actually get the right thing but he told me it was a size 50 (L) and the real thing so I guess we'll see.
