From what I understood, they may have nerfed Quen a bit but it is still very useful. The big change was regarding stamina and blocking, I think; putting a greater emphasis on blocking, parrying and dodging by allowing you to do it more frequently. I would consider the parry, countering stuff pretty essential but then I haven't played it since a few updates back.

Battery life is totally moot. For either device it is measured in weeks / months. A few days here or there is not an issue. I'm sure Nooks are great and all. In my experience, the kindle has a perfectly good font, is inexpensive (at least by my standards), has a great library, offers regular deals (I picked up Game of Thrones for 99p) and is a beautiful piece of hardware. I've never used a Nook, they're probably comparable in all areas bar marketing.

I think they're very comparable but sadly Nooks are overlooked despite being better deals simply because they don't have the brand recognition Amazon built up back when the Kindle was the only one doing this.

I'm not a fan of the Condor map, but then I wasn't particularly fond of that section of the game. Unlocked a Justicar and Geth SMG in a pack; not sure I'll ever use them...
