  1. Sounds like all Americans are crazy!
  2. Americans saying 'mom' can sound like 'mawm/mahm/marm' and British people saying 'ma'am' can sound like 'marm'
  3. Hmm, think I enjoy Asari Vanguard more than the Adept. Drell Adept is quite fun too.
  4. I couldn't find this listed under the main part of the Mass Effect 3 soundtrack on YouTube. I figured I'd go for a less obvious choice. It's an abbreviated and slightly altered version of what I believe is the 'romantic' theme (I Was Lost Without You). I prefer the more direct approach it takes. http://soundcloud.com/kcorprecords/mass-effect-3-soundtrack And... FUCK YEAH!
  5. I can only guess that is actually them saying 'ma'am' as an abbreviation of 'madam'. The giant ferris wheel is the London Eye.
  6. Woo! Unlocked an Asari Adept. Also, while I'm here, I figure I should clarify my 'thing' about the catalyst now I've finished the game and been checking behind spoiler tags. Oh, and I had a totally badass moment with my Asari Vanguard earlier. Right at the end of a round, there was an Atlas remaining that another guy and I were attacking (fortunately, it was focused on him). Just then a Nemesis runs alongside the Atlas, just as I fire off the killing shot. I then charged the Nemesis and immediately swooped away as the Atlas exploded. Took out half my shields but it killed the Nemesis. Totally worth it.
  7. Finished Mass Effect 3. I have...mixed feelings.
  8. As a Vanguard, power damage and power cooldown are king! Power damage is definitely how much damage your biotic powers do. I'm not sure if that covers tech damage as well, because I know certain skill paths say they influence tech or biotic power cooldown. I think it covers both when referring to armour stats. Cooldown is how quickly your powers recharge. If you're more focused on just shooting, it may not bother you. Or they recharge at a quick enough rate for you, but for something like an Adept or Vanguard, you rely on being able to use your powers as often as possible. Thanks to armour parts and Glyph upgrades, by the end, my Vanguard could charge at someone, use Nova and then be ready to charge at someone else right away. As an Adept, you can take advantage of using stasis or singularity and being able to combine that with another biotic power to create an explosion almost immediately. At first, I thought the piercing mod meant that any shots that are going through cover do reduced damage and I was like, "Well, yeah, sure." As in, it worked the same way as upgrading Overload to hit a second enemy but at reduced damage. But then I started wondering why my shotguns didn't feel as powerful against some enemies, and it was because the mod was only really giving me an advantage against bypassing armour on tougher ones.
  9. OK, so I finished the game. Now I am torn...
  10. *Eden Prime and all the other associated interactions not so much.

  12. Just to clarify, a lot of the Javik stuff is not on the disc. Only the basic stuff to make him available as a combat party member. There is a lot more to the content than just that.
  13. Was going with a friend on his Orange Wednesdays promo (2 for 1) to see 21 Jump Street, except he hadn't bought tickets early, so it was sold out. The only two viable alternatives were Contraband (which I'd said I didn't want to see in the first place) and This Means War (which I didn't really want to see but would have preferred, probably). Since it was his promo, he chose Contraband. I guess I can't fault the technical aspects, since it is Hollywood after all, and it had a nice sort of gritty look. It was just such a dumb film with stupid coincidences and contrivances and a waste of decent acting talent and Mark Wahlberg. I'm guessing my friend thought it would be more action-y because it throws in a few pointless bits of it, surely as something to put in a trailer to fool people. Well, it worked on him because that's all he goes on. The only thing I can say in its favour, is a little dramatic irony on some of the character's parts, as no one realises what looks like a paint-splattered tarp is actually a Jackson Pollock taken off its mounting.
  14. Sorry, if I sound like I'm having a go but it just seems unreasonable in this instance. Sure, it could probably have done with better wording and I can understand if you were annoyed about the gameplay section before but I feel it's coloured your view of that bit.
  15. Hmm, he still said that for me...at one point. Well, because I've not finished the game yet, from what I know, I am only guessing that... Although, now I don't want to know whether I'm right or wrong.
  16. I will say, that's what I like about a lot of the situations in the game. It gives you a personal investment, with prior circumstances, and still allows you to influence the outcome.
  17. You spend about half the game doing Planet Wisp.
  18. I found it very clear. Since it's the main situation during that whole section and then explained to you before it happens. Just relies on having a high enough reputation (plus other variables, I think). Also, FFS, people. It's not a Deus Ex Machina if it's been established at some point before the end. From what I can gather it was set in motion in ME1. I know you guys like using that term though, so carry on...
