Saw glimpses of the tech before, but that's really quite impressive. I love all that animation stuff. Quite interested in the game now. And the tech is definitely something that would've improved Uncharted 3 immensely. Especially if you're doing Siege in co-op because they really didn't think that shit through.

Drunk History

I was at work at the time so wasn't really getting too deep into anything. I saw the thing about conflict of interest but all I knew was 'she presents some videogame stuff', I had no idea she had been doing her own previews. Then when I was home I could see the giant internet hissyfit.

I never thought her face was weird or off-putting, but I know that she looked a bit weird on consoles. Plus, I think some people look better 'in motion', if that makes sense.

I actually didn't find Miranda that attractive at first. I'd seen pictures of Yvonne Strahovski too and never really been wowed. But I really liked her voice, and loved that first apperance she makes. And her butt. Since then, I've watched Chuck and seen what all the fuss is about.

Everyone is listening to that song now. Love the drums in this track. Sparse but effective.

I think the problem with Jacob is that he was more of a lead-in from that mobile or whatever game. If they'd bothered to explore a bit of the past relationship with Miranda or something like that, it would've been a bit more interesting. From what I've seen of Vega, it seems a bit more effort has been put in (punch-up with Shepard...will this be for male and female?).

Trying to write some comedy but my brain was telling me it wants to listen to The Cure. Probably shouldn't have gone for a random selection.

This isn't really a 'versus' thing but I thought I'd share. Rewatching The Wire I noticed the subtitles say 'whaling on' for people referring to someone having the crap beaten out of them, but I'd always imagined it was 'wail on'. Had a go at something a little sillier with a friend but I got too busy to keep at it, and my friend is even lazier than I am. Saw The Descendants last night. I expected something a little 'lighter' but then I'd purposefully learnt as little as possible about it. It was still entertaining and well done, just in the vein of drama with the occasional bit of humour. I'm not sure if it was the hairstyle and clothes or not, but George Clooney is starting to look a little old. Not that it makes any difference, his was a solid performance and the rest of the cast were rather good also. I have to admit I did spend a lot of the time watching George Clooney's older daughter and worrying she was too young, because she really was quite beautiful.
